    Question

That is the reason I asked, I have heard there was team that was going to forgo (forfeit) all of its district games and only play in district tournament at end of yr, reason being: bus travel to high and school budgets and etc..... and they had contacted TSSAA and they said they could do that.
  2. Limbaugh Will you pass along the link to TSSAA when they put the bracket up on the web???

    Question

Is there a MINUMUM number of games has to schedule for a season?-
  4. The Oakland/Blackman game was fun to watch also, and Congrats to Riverdale, who just keeps on winning, will be fun tomorrow between Oakland/Riverdale again, can Warriors do it three times in a row??? Saturday will tell
  5. The game in CKV was a shame for both teams last night, with the home plate ump taking away from both pitchers, and what could have been a GREAT game. What was a huge crowd in support of both teams, it turned into a yelling fest from parents of both teams to the home plate ump, and rightfully so IMO. Both Seth and Will, starting pitchers, did a good job maintaining their composure, with Will being a little more experienced, and it payed off. BOTH COACHES, KUDOS to you, can't believe you both made it through the game on the field, but knowing you both, and the importance of the upcoming games, I should not be surprised. Question to UCUA, and Danny Fox, how can you schedule a inexperienced HS ump for such a BIG, BIG game, and if it was set weeks before, schedules can be changed for the sake of a big game. The field ump is a very experienced ump, and you put him with a rookie which you put behind the plate. You know what he did a few weeks back in Monterery, which was embarrassing to both teams, as well as himself. While the ump didn't have a effect on the outcome of the game, THANK GOD, he did take away from the excitement of it, and the KIDS. Good luck to both teams tonight @ Riverdale, and hopefully the kids will get to show how good they are!!!!
  6. Could not agree more, both teams better not look ahead, and both be ready for the teams they are playing that day. I don't think Riverdale will look beyond Oakland, as that is always a big game for both clubs, but Cookeville has been known to look ahead, like last yr when White Co. upset their perfect record. Could be a BIG week in District Play,
  7. The day any team goes into Murfreesboro and gets calls to go their way should be a NEW HOLIDAY on the calender in my opinion!!! You did say:: " Cookeville won with the help of the umps" now you are saying different, so what is it??? Congrats to Cookeville for gettting the hits to win the game, and Oakland is a very classy bunch of kids as well, don't discredit their team by saying they can't win without the help of umps.
  8. Having seen both of these teams play, it will most likely come down to which one makes the fewest errors, as they both boot the ball often. If one team plays a clean game, they will win. Most likely a split with each winning at home. Ty looks good on mount and so does Phifer kid, but they need the defense to back them up. Did White Co/Oakland game get rained out? if so, when rescheduled? Warren Co also playing good ball, could be spoiler as they have now split with both Oakland and Riverdale. thumb
  9. Good for Craig Smith, he is a Great guy, from a great family. Congrats South Doyle

    District 7-aaa 2005

Two Sport Fan, I am a fan of many of the years teams, and I don't get on a public forum and start trash about intensity or lack of, or critical of a coach for backing up the work ethic of his team, Seems to me you would want a coach that is backing his teams, something that 8 years ago, you didn't have !!! Since there was so much turn over in coaching then, they were not loyal to the program or the kids, or they didn't win or ??? the case may have been. It is fine if you don't come back and support the team, ( you seem to be the type that only jumps on the band wagon when it makes you look good) that is not a true supporter of the or A program anyway. There have been many good players who have come through the baseball program, and on any given night, may have not impressed someone, but don't bash a team because of it, or a coach. Not sure Coach 21 is actually a Coach, but I still like his backing of the kids, whomever he/she is.
  11. It is a SHAME you would/could base an opinion like that based on seeing ONE game last year, and now only seeing ONE game this year. YOU NEED TO GET OUT AND SEE MORE GAMES, then your opinion would be more appreciated. They did have a tough outing, I do agree, but then again, YOU are not saying much for KARNS baseball program. CKV has put a different line up on the field in just about every game they have played, and until they get solid in their line-up, I think they will have games like YOU saw, but by no means does that mean they do not have a LOVE for the game, or their HUSTLE is not there. They had a GREAT season last yr, new coach brough alot of excitement to the program, kids played great and everything clicked. Now that the hits are not coming at the right times, HERE WE GO AGAIN with the negative posts. Need to Support the program you made a trip to see, not bash it.
  12. All your whinning CoachBlo would set any coach to try to run rule you in the 1st inning if possible. If he hit him intentional or not, no coach of good measure would get on a comment board and try to make a issue about it. Your comments about the bathroom, oh yea, you did say they were in the bathroom, well we know how shi??? starts in the MENS room. Sounds like to me, you hit a CKV player first, and their power hitter at that, and you don't expect some inside music to follow. You need to stay around the game a few more years, then it will start clicking as to why CKV baseball has finally turned around this yr, maybe you can take some lessons and have the same success. Last yrs coach wouldn't allow the kids to play hardball, and we seen the results at the end of season for that, this yr a different story, they believe they can win.. they support each other and support equals success in this case.
  13. I have to agree OAK2001, Oakland fans are not the only ones who do alot of yelling, whether at players or umps or whomever. Heckling is good in some ways for the game, makes it fun. My only problem was when the announcer was mispronouncing the players names, which seemed to be very obvious, as one time it would be correct, and the next time, something totally different. That is disrespectful from a professional position. The players all talk smack, and parents alike when calls don't go their way and etc.... but keep the announcing, and calling the line-ups out professional. Oakland does have a huge home field advantage, with the support they give their players, and hopefully other teams communities in the Distrtict will get on board with their baseball programs and give their teams the same home field advantage. Also, CKV has had a great season, NO MATTER what happens from this point on, they can grow from this. Hopefully it will come down to the best teams in the finals, but , that is why the games are played on the field. Good luck to all the teams, hopefully 7AAA will bring home a state title again.
  14. Who is pitching tonight for the two clubs? I think the only problem is, they are young overall throughout their line-up, and that causing inconsistance. Remember, they did shut-out Riverdale also earlier in season, they have alot of potential.
  15. Is Shrum their top pitcher, he is a great kid with a great attitude.
