That was one of the best girls games I have ever seen! McGavock keep your head up & keep fighting. Phargis the little one was throwing up blood @ halftime we're in the ER now. She gave all she had. I'm very proud of her. She made the all tournament team.

Yep. That "little one" has been sick as a dog since the day the region tournament started. She has a "viral infection". The doctor prescribed her an inhaler so she could breathe during the games. She's also doped up on Claratin & Benedryl.

The game is @ Brentwood High tomorrow @ 7pm.

McGavock & Hillsboro are both very balanced & rely on defense. Should be a great game. Even in the loss to Hillsboro, McGavock held them to their lowest point total of the season. Hillsboro also held McGavock to their lowest point total. Will be a great game.

Hey Coacht, On the McGavock girls basketball schedule, there is a February district tournament game against Stratford listed as a 56-53 win for McGavock. That was a boys game. The girls had a buy into the semifinals & didn't play till Saturday. Can you take that off? Thanks!

Girls quarterfinal games are Friday February 27th not the 28th.

District 12AAA - You have McGavock listed as playing yesterday the 20th. They didn't. Their 1st game is today against Hunter's Lane. McGavock had a buy into the semifinals. Thanks for all your work.

Molly Heady is a great kid. She is an amazing player with a great work ethic. I don't think she really worries about individual things. If so, she would have stayed @ Monterey where she was already over 1500pts & 500rbs as a sophomore. This thread was well meaning in giving her credit, but she probably wouldn't want all the fuss.

I think Glencliff will. They run their sets really well, & do a good job minimizing their weaknesses. They just have to stay out of foul trouble since they don't really have a bench. Hunters Lane on paper would seem to be the stronger team, but there's something off there. I've only seen them play against McGavock so maybe you've seen something different.

Kelli Reed is an amazing player. While many of you discount camp, what she dd against other top guards in the state during camp cannot be discounted. She seems to have an excellent bball IQ & does what's best for her team to win. Clarkrange could play with several of the top teams in the state.

McGavock hosted Antioch tonight. With McGavock @ full strength for the 1st time in over a week, they beat Antioch 66-37 with the coach pulling the starters early in the 4th quarter.

Ensworth was up by 20 till Carpenter got hurt just before the half & didnt play the rest of the game. She had 14pts & at least 5 assists in the 1st half. They also had another starting guard sidelined for the whole game.

Hassell is more of a back to the basket classic post, Dupree will face up & shoot the three. Jasmine is more athletic, but Faith is a much better shooter. Pick your poison...
