  1. Three of the five starters on my team's offensive line scored 32 or better on the ACT so i would have to say the offensive line had the brains

    DCA @ USJ

Try the chicken sandwiches; they are superb! thumb There's plenty of parking, and I wouldn't say the walk is bad at all. I've never even thought about it being a long way to walk. The facilities are great and so are the people. Be prepared for some loud fans and a great high school football game! USJ fans: There is no need to talk trash on here. If USJ goes into this game overconfident then the team will get their butts handed to them, same for DCA. This is a match-up between two very tough, undefeated football teams. Let the game speak for itself, and do not lower yourself to the level of other programs by resorting to insignificant trash talk! That is NOT what has made USJ the great program it is. All trash talk does is fire up the opponent and make the talker appear foolish. Let it slide, fellas.

    JCS @ USJ

Ekard, just for the record your arguments sound much like those of a fifth graders. Anyway, whomever said USJ won't be able to compete with teams such as Humboldt, how do you explain USJ scrimmaging Humboldt and winning? Wait, let me guess, USJ paid the refs so they could get a W in a scrimmage. Am I correct?
  4. Umm, I think USJ has played a tougher schedule. USJ non-region: McNairy, South Side, North Side, Bruceton, and Riverside JCS non-region: DCA, West Carrol, Dyer County, Bishop Byrne, and ??? DCA and West Carrol are both tough teams, but I believe USJ gets the nod for more difficult schedule. I'm not sure what's up with that schedule ranking thing. Both USJ and JCS are excellent teams and schools, and I can't wait to see the game. Hopefully, both teams are focusing on their games tonight instead of next week!
  5. If a Melrose player is timed at running the 40 in under 4.4 then he gets gold cleats. About 7 players had gold cleats, including 2 linebackers. The speed at which Melrose plays is unbelieveable. I think I tore an ACL just watching the cuts their running back made.
  6. 9yr.oldchamps, are you crazy? no way there are 14 teams in tennessee that could beat MBA. i know anything can happen on any given night but i just dont think there are 14 teams at that caliber in tennessee.
  7. i also believe that cbhs is the best team in west tennessee but milan is the best rural west tennessee team
  8. Did anybody else see us (USJ) depicted as Satan by the Sun in Friday's cartoon thing? Yeah, that was real classy. They had a lion, made to look holy in peaceful, inside a church with a demonic bear busting through the wall and stained glass windows with pictures of Jesus. That was real cool.
  9. formerQB: No way, dude, you could never rub any the wrong way or get any rumors started about you in Chester or anything like that! Heh This is Kyle Duck, btw (I'm on my little brother's screename). How've you been, bud?
  10. Well, so far they've played the following teams: West KY School for the Blind Jackson, TN Quadraplegic Pentacostal School and the 1946 Washington Redskins You SF guys are killling everyone with your smacktalk. If you beat Bruceton then maybe you can start talking some. Personally, I think everyone has written Bruceton off way too soon. I'm picking Bruceton in this one 21- 7.
  11. mhsalumni i honestly don't believe i could disagree with you more. I don't know how you can say that Fayette is a weak 1a team. When they're in the top 10 if I'm correct. I also know they have a solid offensive line with good technique , but they simply couldn't cut it against a real good CC team. And how can you say that if they had a good rb it would be a different story? I know for a fact that they put Bodiford in at rb and put #10 in at qb but they still achieved moderate success at best. I also find it hard to believe that the DTs got driven back into the LBs. Fayette's line is good but I don't think they could easily drive back a combined 610-620 lbs of defensive tackles consistently.
  12. VG: How are the Bruins down this year? What makes you belive that?
  13. "Ride of the Valkyries" "Welcome to The Jungle" - Guns 'n Roses "The End" - The Doors "Still" - Geto Boys
  14. BigDogDaddy: Milan is as West TN as they come. By your argument Lexington is a Middle TN team and Haywood is a Memphis team. C'mon dude. Be real. I believe east of the TN River is where Middle TN begins.
  15. slammer: I play for USJ and I'd like for you to keep on mind that we practiced that morning from 7:30 - 10:00 before leaving at 1:30 to come down to Chester County for that practice. We were also missing four starters from our offensive line. I'm not so sure that you saw any of the DB/wide receiver part of the practice. We also ran the same play on offense 5 times in a row. Our points for that practice were to put certain players in certain situations to see how they'd react and what not. The whole point of a practice isn't to win, it's to get better. And that 10 or 12 scores is exaggerated by about 8. I'm from Chester County and they definetley have some tremendous athletes and a very good team this year. Chester County has some great guys and we (USJ players) are all friends with them and are hoping they do well this year. It's kind of upsetting to me to know that you can't go play some football with your friends and old classmates without some crazy re-living-his-youth dad getting on the internet and talking crud. Oh well, I guess that's the nature of being on a high-profile football team. Anyways, good luck CC players and especially to the Senior class of 2004!
