  1. I agree I havenofriendzz. Let's hope for a clean game with no injuries and some HARD hitting.
  2. What Farragut did was pretty dumb and trashy. Its a good rivalry, but it should stop short of vandalism. And yes, both sides do it. However, in recent years I can recall, its been Farragut doing the worst of it. And remember its not Bearden students cleaning that crap up, its maintenance workers and that's pretty unfair to them. Just like 2 years ago when we had just gotten our stadium repainted and some from West decide to come in and paint all over the new paint. I find it to be a lot better win if you say nothing and win the game than if you talk crap and win. Where's the humility in that?
  3. I'm pretty pumped for this, only Bearden-Farragut game I have seen since I played in it. Hoping to be a good luck charm.
  4. I hadn't said much about this game, but I know this Bearden squad is more prepared to beat DB this year then they ever have been. We always play DB tough at home. Bearden takes it this year on the back of its defense. Dawgs by 7
  5. Haha I never thought I'd see the day people fear Bearden's offense! Its exciting.
  6. There really is no reason for that, and I think kids should let the competition stay on the field and not span to who can draw better graffiti. With that said, Farragut painted portable trailers behind the rock at Bearden last year and West painted our stadium, so stuff happens. But it definitely shouldn't be condoned or encouraged. By the way, congrats to the Bearden team this year. You guys are part of turning this program around. Also, congrats to Farragut. Coach Courtney is a classy guy.
  7. Seeing as I was a senior on the team and was directly involved in the conflict, I will say these are false accusations. Obviously, Coach Wilson has done a tremendous job, and we're glad to have him. Gray would have been a great choice too. Both are real player's coaches.
  8. Just so you guys know, Ron Gray still has positive lingering effects at Bearden. While Coach Wilson and the players have contributed most to this year's success, his contributions from last year, especially in the attitude about football at Bearden still are noticeable.
  9. Bearden 17-14. Two physical teams with athleticism. Should be interesting.
  10. Yeah because if anybody plays DB close its because of the officials right? You posted the same thing after the Bearden game.
  11. I think they will be tough. These two teams are actually alot alike. Sevier County is always a physical football team, so Bearden needs to be physical like they were against Central. I think Bearden has better speed, but Sevier Co also has big-play capability. It will be important for Bearden's secondary to stay solid and for the offense to put together drives resulting in points every time, which they have done very well this year. Last year we just allowed Sevier Co. to push us up and down the field and they wore us out. We also had a couple of TD's called back on stupid penalties, so it is important to avoid those.
  12. This Bearden team is better than last year's and we won by 42. I say they cover at least that.
  13. This game will not be close. Bearden put 28 points on SH two years ago and won last year with admittedly much less competitive teams.
  14. Are you serious? Bearden HANDLED Central. Get over it.
  15. No crap guys. Grow up a little. Beat Bearden in volleyball? Are you serious? Who gives two craps? Win with some dignity. Rivalries are more fun when you respect each other.
  16. Good Job Dawgs. Keep up the tough work and you guys can go a long way with this. Take care of the Admirals next week. Its our favorite game of the year.
  17. I'm telling you guys. This Bearden team is as talented as ANY team we have had in the past. Maybe not as deep, but just as much talent. They have the skill positions and the huge junior class. Underestimate these guys. Keep it up. Don't forget Karns. Have we EVER lost to Karns? Nope.
  18. Halliday is a gifted athlete with a smart head, great knack for the game, great wheels, and a good arm. He has started since the 8th game of his freshman year and has been a leader since he stepped into that position.
  19. Finally somebody gets it! With the exception of 2004, which was just a tough year all around for us, we have always played DB tough since I can remember. There will be no wet fields this year, just a dang fired up Bearden team. I've been around BHS DB week and I'll tell you I used to get just as jacked for DB as for ANY other game. Doing that Indian walk just gets the other team jacked man. Bearden wants to be 3-0 going to FHS. DB wants to be 3-0 going to OR. Something has to give.
  20. Yeah nobody thought we would beat SH last year either....
  21. 3 of those losses were to Maryville, Central and Powell. They play in a killer region. West is a good team and is well-coached. So when we pulled the game to 10-7 DB in the 3rd quarter that wasnt on the ropes?
