hey region4fan... thank you for the congrats and the confidence throughout the season. it means alot to know people i dont know think i am a good player. i just got back from the region banquet and we had our team banquet last night. no extra awards for me, but 2 very deserving seniors from my team got the mvp and coach's award. our banquet went really well and i believe everyone was happy. after watching our hi-lite film it makes me want to continue playing somewhere but it really isnt worth it to me. i love the game but my body can't take it. i really miss it now but there os nothing i can do. well hope to meet you at some future oakland games. thank you!

so u think the lebanon fans had something to do with the cop?? he spends most of his time yelling at us to back up and move. he is against us too. and i think our players won the game not the fans. but ya'll had no reason to stand up....u were down the whole game.

hey where were the great Cookeville fans when they came to Lebanon last friday?? i saw them sitting down upstairs. The Lebanon fans got into their players' heads from the start and it was over for them. I heard beafore the game that Burnett was gonna score 35....we only scored 7 thanx to the crowd. Lebanon has a dern good cheerin section even though it isnt huge, but they have their way with opposing players. sure the cookeville fans looked real cute but thats about it. they didnt say a word. enough said.

Lebanon played great and played an exciting game. Grooms and Moore led with 12 while the devils "shut down" Mario Burnett. Held him to 7!! Lebanon played all three of its first teams and they all put up points and played D. Nice job devils. Cookeville looked to be the better team b/c of their height but Lebanon played really well.

hey...yeah i cant believe we dont have an all county team. that would be awesome too. i still dont think i will get any awards b/c i never did anything outstanding. i ended up with 20 somethin catches and maybe 300 yards and 2 td's. i only scored once in a region game and had my best game in a non region game. i doubt i had over 50 tackles on D and no Int's or spectacular hits. i pretty much just did what i was told and nothing more. i am not goin to get my hopes up for any awards but it would be nice. and another thing...i was a 165 lb. tight end and line backer (lol). it was fun though and i would have played wherever they asked me. All our coaches vote on the awards. i think there is an MVP, and then Best Sr., Jr,Soph,Fresh. for a total of 5. thats how i understand it but our banquet is in a week so we'll find out then. well im outta here. cya

hey Region4Fan...i have not received any awards yet and probably wont unless im our MVP b/c i dont think we are giving 5 awards and some go to underclassmen. and we do not have an all-county team that i know of so i guess thats out of the question. i have had colleges send letters and some schools have called but ive made up my mind that im through. my boody is worn out and so am i. i am really starting to miss football but ive made good enough grades and scores where i can go to school anywhere so i think i will just attend college as a student. i went to the riverdale game the other night and it was a great game. should have been there. hopefully we can make it to the big one next week. well thank you for your support once again.

Hey Region4Fan...I did not receive your message the other day. You might try sending another one. Thank you for your support of me. How do they vote for All-Region and how many players make it from each team? That would be a big honor b/c i have never thought of myself as actually being that good. I will surely be at more basketball games so maybe we will see each other.

watch out for #19 brian campbell for riverdale. in my opinion he has quietly been the best player on that team. he is a consistant field goal kicker, excellent safety, and an all around athlete on offense. he has big play capability but doesnt always get his chance. good luck brian. good luck to both teams actually but campbell is one of my favorites.

REGION4FAN...i think and always have thought u are the most intelligent and respectful person on this board. u have always had good things to say about my team and lebanon in general. i was very pleased with your last post and im glad to see that you know what my classmates and i are going through. it has nothing to do with coaching or player conflicts but football being a tough sport and us having no support. i respect oakland as much or more than any school we play. ya'll have some great athletes and fans. i do not play basketball but you can bet i will bve at every game. i support our school all year. i would let you know who i am but that might not be a good idea on here. u might already know if you think but try not to say anything on here.... Keep the positive attitude and good luck to oakland in the playoffs....i might even come watch since we will be at home

our coach has never said anything bad about our old coach to the players. i have no idea about any other comments he has made though. and as for me i think moose is one of the greatest men alive and i have always shown him respect. and who am i pointing fingers at? i only said good things and facts about lebanon b/c i KNOW exactly what goes on. i will not say anything bad about any players or coaches on here. I didnt make any excuses for our season and wasnt complaining about practice i was just pointing out how hard working and dedicated the players who stuck it out and the coaches were. by reading your past posts i thought u were a lebanon supporter but obviously u dont like me. even though u are from the boro i know u can find something good to say.

wolke is not scared to take a hit. he is often 10 yards down field making blocks. if you get in his face (with cookeville's slowness) then he will run for 20 yards everytime. Riverdale's d is a different story though. And they didnt shut Lebanon down in any way. Lebanon shut Lebanon down. LHS had a 100 yd. receiver and was not really stopped the whole game. they had fumbled punt returns, kick returns, and fumbled inside the redzone.

smyyna will win. Cookeville's secondary is not good and all they have on offense is buckner. smyrna has the size and speed to stop anybody they have and cookeville is not fast enough on D to stop anything smyrna has.

How about some positive posts to do with Lebanon for a change? LHS had a losing record and didnt make the playoffs but if you weigh the circumstances, Lebanon's season was a success. At the beginning of the season they were probably picked to go 0-10, 1-9, or 2-8. The Tennessean even picked them to lose to Wilson Central (we won 47-0). If we hadnt got a new coach i bet we would have gone 1-9 beating central by 7-14 points and losing to Mt. Juliet. If all you critics knew how hard we and the coaches worked all the way from the off season to the last game then you would not be downing us. It is tough enough to play for a down program but it makes it even harded when nobody has any faith in you. In some cases your critcism gives us more fire power so thank you for that. Lebanon was fairly inconsistant but what do you expect with only 3 returning starters and a new coaching staff?? nobody ever gives lebanon a chance and im sick of it. i will continue to support lebanon all my life no matter how bad things get. Some of you supposed fans should feel the same way. i take pride in being a blue devil and wished we would get more respect. Coach brown and his staff did an excellent job not only teaching us football but how to be men and how to overcome adversity. all lebanon football is nowadays is adversity. I wish all you players and fans who ridicule lebanon would have actually been at a practice to see how hard we worked. i doubt hardly any of your great athletes would last till 730 every night until the last game, or even come close to handeling the "box drill" or burma road. Lebanon kids work their hearts out and get nothing in return except a 4-6 record and tons of criticism. Things in lebanon might change if the town's attitude would change. If you didnt notice lebanon handled a great Blackman team and beat a tough Oakland team (both headed to the playoffs) we actually beat Oakland the past 4 years (freshman year included so thats something to be proud of)but obviously no one cares. Well thats my opinion on the subject and i think the devils had a successful season and you should be proud of them. Best of Luck in the future!!

I think Gallatin wins easily. You can't stop their running game for a whole game...no team can. Their D-line is the strongest and fastest I've seen and should have their way with Beech. Im waiting for someone to shut Meadows up. He talks to much. With Link healthy and punting well, Beech will never get the ball any closer than their own 30 yard line...have fun trying to put a drive together

Thanks for the compliments about Lebanon. I know how good Grimes is but it seems he is their only threat. I believe everything i said about Smyrna and will back it up. I think they are a very good team and will be too much for Lavergne and maybe even riverdale. They have alot of young talent (i think only 5 seniors actually get PT) so they will be good in the future. Watch out for #18 and #41...they can play.

Smyrna will stop Grimes and win the game easily. Smyrna will give Riverdale more problems than Lavergne will Smyrna. Grimes is great but Smyrna has 2 very good backs, a huge line, a passing threat, and a very athletic QB. That is tough to stop. Good Luck.

Did the full back Abernathy from Lavergne transfer to Antioch? I had heard that rumor and wasn't sure if it is true :confused:

the scrimmage between lebanon and warren county has been cancelled because lebanon has too few players. some are out of town so i believe it has been moved to warren county on thursday.
