Another big moment for the Lady Pioneers, they beat Cookeville again and will play in the district championship Monday night!!!!!! Way to go girls and Coach Baird!!!!!!!

Congratulations to Coach Baird and his staff on winning against Cumberland Co. tonight and advancing to their first region birth in 12 years. The girls and staff deserve it, we are proud of you and keep up the hard work. Beat Cookeville and win district!!!!

He is a young pup, was an assistant last year to Coach Walker, his only year as a coach I think. What happened to the experienced applicants? Oh well, good luck coach!

Whoever the coach is will have to win over some kids, because the past few coaches haven't tried to form a relationship with the younger ones and develop ballplayers like other counties do. They need to be active in the feeder systems and do what the other sports are doing-trying, not resting on their laurels like we have been for the past 6-7 years. We are a baseball town, no matter what people think.

If you want to know why Warren Co. is 1-20, look at the previous posts. I feel there is no heart in this team, too many I's. If any of these kids played with guys 10 years ago, they would have had their butt kicked!!! Quit worrying about yourself and worry about the team!!!!!

Well, we're sitting at 1-12 on the year, paper talked about changes, wouldn't you think about changes when you were 1-4 or 1-8? I agree that Ricky Morris was a huge asset to previous Pioneer teams, but before him the teams were competitive in a tougher district and won. I know we cannot live in the past, but someone needs to have more pride in the way they play baseball!!! NEED MORE HEART!!! I am very disappointed in the team, has someone given Phillip King a call yet?

What's the word with the team? How does playing in the new district affect the Pioneers? Someone give some insight. Good luck, Coach Walker and boys, on a successful season.

Last night was the firrst game I've seen this year. I like Coach Montgomer's style and pace pf play. The kids played VERY HARD last night. The second quarter killed them, but they responded very well despite their youth. Things look up and I am glad to be a fan here. Good luck Pioneers!!

I just wish something would give, because I would like to see the best play and develop together over two or three years before high school. Let's give it a trial run, also Coach Moore would be great for them to learn from. Good coach. Congrats on the win. boys and coaches. Keep up the hard work.

I have asked this for years now, why is everything open in the county (soccer, softball, baseball, and football) at the Middle School except basketball? You can goto school at Morrison, Eastside,etc. and still play Middle school baseball or soccer, BUT you HAVE to attend the Middle school just to play basketball? Here's what you do:Have the Middle school have county wide try-outs, pick the best an play, if you choose for your child not to, thats your choice, but if they do not make the Middle school team, they can play at their county school. It's a win-win situation, you have your best playing together, jelling and playing better competition, and the others that were on the verge are still playing,practicing, and trying to improve.I would like to ask the new AD why doesn't this become a real solution, is it the WCMS principal, the board, what?. I bet the new coaches would like this concept. What do you people think?

I know you do not want to hear this, BUT WC will win a hard contest, 31-21. With Thrower at the controls, this offense is clicking (no offense to Steg, he is a good QB too) and the defense is starting to buy into Coach Evans philosophy, stopping the run and defending the pass. It's not horses that is killing us, its special teams and defense!!!! We give up too much yardage on KO & PUNT RETURNS!!!! It is nice if you only have 35-40 yards to paydirt! The defense HAS to adjust and be more "Amoebic" to whoever they're playing. Need more depth, instead of relying on the same 20 kids to play both ways!! They need to hire a recruiting coordinator to get some of these "obese" kids walking the halls interested in playing sports, and Trust Me I know its easier said, than done. I know I am a fan, but I do see what the others see from the booth upstairs, and it ain't pretty. As far as the student-athletes go, you guys are playing hard and I am proud of that, so this post is not aimed at the players, they do as they're coached. Now, Heads-up and kick the crap out of the next opponent!!!!!!!!!!! Go Pioneers!
