  1. Portland's John Ferguson played one heck of a game last night against Lipscomb. This kid can really play ball!!
  2. Well stated abraham. If I could give you a good mark by golly I would. Ferguson should get the ball more and it would help to have five players on the court rather than three if you get my drift.
  3. 1.Portland 2.Macon 3.Livingston 4.Smith 5.Trousdale
  4. What happened to this useful tool?
  5. Portland wins by ten! Should be exciting.
  6. John Ferguson from Portland surpassed 1000 points last night against Greenbrier.
  7. Has any team in the state of Tennessee ever won four consecutive football championships? Also, how much resentment does Hillsboro have toward Maryville after making it to the big show two years in a row to have their only blemish come from Maryville? Is Maryville loosing many seniors to graduation? I watched the game on UPN and couldn't believe the poise they displayed all game. Someone mentioned on another thread it was almost as if they were being drawn to the end zone in the final minutes. I must concur. *Impressed Portland Fan* [Edited by danwastheman on 12-8-02 7:58P]
  8. Hopefully this link will give you all the info you want. http://news.tennessean.com/hs/preps.php?sp...ameid=2667&rc=y [Edited by danwastheman on 12-7-02 10:08A]
  9. Did anyone see this game? I was there. It was an amazing comeback by Portland! Keep up the good work Panthers.
  10. I hope Ridgeway demolishes Fulton. Fulton doesn't deserve to be in the championship game and everyone knows it except for their blind fans. Fulton beat the best 3A team in the state tonight. The win was just short of a miracle. The luck will run out in Murfreesboro! [Edited by danwastheman on 11-29-02 10:15P]
  11. Antwan, I've got it figured out. You are in fact Scooby. (Note to Reader)...Antwan, a secretly infatuated Scooby Doo fan is at home in front of his home computer with cartoon network blaring in the background saying, "curses I would have fooled them all too if it wasn't for that pesky kid Dan!"
  12. Scooby, obviously you aren't that well educated. I believe the operative word you are trying to express is libeling rather than slandering. Look it up in the dictionary. If you can actually hear people "slandering" you on this message board, I think that is pretty amazing. I'll leave it at that. Lots of laugh! [Edited by danwastheman on 11-20-02 2:19P]

    Question?

    What about me?
  14. That thare is a angry pro wrastler...click on him five times and he gives you the fanger. Sure Nuff!
  15. Congratulations Smith Co. it was a hard fought game. Portland players, you didn't go down easy, and had a very respectable season, taking into consideration your opponents. Portland seniors life goes on; you all have a lot to look forward to. Some of you will play college football and others will enter the work force or remain students. But you will always have many wonderful memories of playing for one of the best high school football programs in the state. If you haven't already heard this, THANKS for providing a small middle Tennessee town with four years of memories. Good luck in the future and continue to succeed. I always pull for the underdog...GO OWLS!
  16. Dang bigreid, good mark for you...if I could give you one!
  17. Yeah, let Riverdale get a hold of ya....they'll give you some respect. He,He, and then some!
  18. You write well for a fourteen year old attending a Wilson County School. I'll give you that much. Keep your head in the books blue14, you'll go far and do great things. Shame on you fanman.
  19. Rather than post snide remarks, could someone give some details as to what the TSSAA appeal procedure consists of. And what actually happened during the game? Was the QB for Smith County at the receiving end, did the officials play the "fair game," ejecting two or more players from each team? I'd like to read some other stories, of similar occurrences this season (from a team not doing as well as Smith Co.) Surely the TSSAA doesn't have double standards.
  20. How about some score predictions guys...and Queen. Let us do away with the niceties and get rilled up. With all do respect for your Owls, I'm going with a Mighty Panther clawing of 28-21, Portland. The jungle comes to Smith County November 15. Owls don't dwell in jungles! I acknowledge that I may be setting my self up here, but it's all fun, right? [Edited by danwastheman on 11-11-02 10:21P]
  21. Good post Dee. I got a chuckle out of that one.
  22. How many state championships are there now 7 or 8? It's hard to believe that it's been almost ten years now since we went to the five class system. I personally would like to see a three division consolidation again. It would be neat to have an optional playoof system or bowl game set up, for the 7 or 8 championship teams. I doubt many coaches would be willing to risk going out on top. It's simply too watered down now.
  23. Sure thing, yeah I believe that.
  24. Thanks to all veterans. Most don't really know, nor can appreciate what all sacrifices our United States service men and women have to make. A few of us do. I was one of the lucky ones. I didn't have to travel half way around the world leaving a family behind, nor did I have to pick up a gun against a foreign aggressor. But to those who have, I thank you again, from the bottom of my heart. Hoorah Air Force, MORS AB ALTO! [Edited by danwastheman on 11-11-02 7:35P]
