  1. sorry offside, but that would be the biggest upset of the year, if not the decade. i dont see lenoir city losing til the district championship, even there it is very doubtful
  2. small school oneida has a greta jv. they usually play down against teams or just with eleven. this team is loaded with talent in the freshman and sohpomore classes. their forwards score, their midfield socres and sometime their defense. their midfield includes grant swain, starts for the indians but is just a freshman, devin welch, also starts but is a sophomore, and marcus mccolluch, starts at keeper in varsity. the jv keeper is a tall kid, been scored on once in seven games, not bad, but apparently doesnt enjoy playing it, he is always trying to find someone to switch with him in the second half, one game he switched while the ball was in play on the other side of the field. their jv is just like their varsity, busts their butts and win, thats all there is to it
  3. sorry fitch i disagree. oneida players have been getting beat by you all for years. they have much more to prove than kingston because they havent got to the regions is years. i see the scores a little different than kendren though. oneida 3 kingston 1(unles soneida's keeper has another great game, dont 'doubt him), and lenoir city 2-0 over oneida, i see leonoir scoring late in the game whe nthe indians are tired. that is when the game is for the taking against the much younger oneida team. i'm not sure how many seniors kingston has but i beleive lenoir city had 9(correct me if i'm wrong fitch) good games to all three game, and keep it clean
  4. i think oneida will pull out a victory over kingston(if that is who they play)because they are comin off a very exciting tie with lenoir city and a win over anderson county. they played their butts off in both games. i'm sayin oneida 3-1 but only if they score twice in the first half. this team isnt a strong finisher in the second half. the kingston players' legs may be tired from the trip down do that is an advantage to oneida. also this is oneida's last home game for the rest of the season(correct me if i'm wrong here), but i dont see oneida slowing down for any team especially not kingston who they have recorded many losses to over the past season. good luck to both teams and keep it clean
  5. i was so pleased when i got home from the game, i watched the indians finally win a game in the last five tries and not tie. anderson county played their butts off, but i dont think they could have stopped oneida's intensity, this team is pumped up and i think they are reaching their peak right when they should. they either play kingston or harriman at home wednesday, i dont see them losing, and chances are they will be playin lenoir city friday for the rematch(this time somebody will win), good luck to the indians...also the game was delayed an hour so me and many other folks had to stand in the rain, thanks for the concesiion stand workers for letting us stand stand under its cover
  6. i havent looked at this thread much but irealize there is one closed minded person in here who said that newpapers should stick to American sports, at many schools soccer is becoming the main sport, maybe you want to look around and you will realize that the United StaTes is one of the few xountries that soccer is not the dominant sport. Maybe you should be more American and open your eyes to what the kids want.
  7. hey guys, i'm from the scott county area, used to play there, these kids have to take that trek every time they go anywhere, remember that
  8. i'm not exactly sure you can lc dominated the game but they had i believe three or four chances to end the game. i will have to give credit to oneida's fantastic freshmen grant swain and marcus mccouloch, they played their butts off. and the davin grigsby is a machine, i didnt see him walk tho whole game...now to lenoir city, played very well, the mitch kid is amazing, but i was dissapointed to see singleton get so frustrated over that call, i think after that he just couldnt get back into the game, but before that was playin beautifully, no. 12, left or right defenseive back played very well also, he took it to the midfielders, but oneida did play the hearts out so i cant say lenoir cuty dominated, sorry but it was a great game, maybe there will be a rematch in district championship
  9. that kid, is that the right name?, did have a great game against kingston shutting them out, i know they dont have much offense this year but they still had some strong and accurate shots...oneida's mids will have to be strong and their forwards will have to pour on the shots because lenoir city's sweeper is out, but the other is isnt far behind havein a strong game against kingston so dont expect oneida to be gunning for him because i believe he could shut them down, oneida will have to win it in the air no doubt, they have some tall guys who can jump. that is their one advantage over this very strong and intelligent lenoir city team...have a good game both teams...KEEP IT CLEAN
  10. i'm not sure what the score will be tomorrow, but i do believe it will be a good game...i follow the indians and i have found that these guys are very pumped for this game...as far as i can see the only way i see them winning is them playing their hearts out like they did against kingston...one shot a few inches lower and oneida would have beat kingston, of course, this game was played in not the greatest weather conditions...i see oneida in a not so surprising, playing their hearts out tie...it all depends on how bad oneida wants win it...everyone knows lenoir city wants it, but do the indians want it more???
  11. lcsoccer, you are defiantely right, i have seen these two teams and it is always an intense game, i heard of the recent score 2-0 over them, good win. what do you all make of the oneida game this friday?
  12. every game these girls played was good, i believe the series was 2-1 or 3-1 harriman, i believe that harriman blew them out but then oneida came back to beat them in fourth quarter, the nthey played in region and ditrict and i believe both of those were no more than 10 point games...both teams were fantastic but harriman was just the better team
  13. i havent seen many keepers who have stood out against oneida, because those are the only games io watch, except for the kingston keeper, he's not a bad player and took a few dead play kicks for them, not a bad keep...but the keeper for oneida, not sure of his name, will be good in a few years, he is just a freshman and has had a few shutouts this year, including kingston, but he hasnt played lenoir city, i wont be at the game but i am excited about how this young man will play
  14. i realize that rockwood is angry because of oneida baseball not having enough players to play but to call them rinky-dink? this is a school that used to dominate in every sport, or at least when i watched them...just because they do not have enough players to put on the field doesnt give you the right to disgrace a school with such a rich tradition...maybe you should look at their baseball records over the 90's and you will realize this team may return to greatness and pummel you "amazing" rockwood team
  15. who scored for LC?
  16. i have always watched this rivalry either on my own time or via television, and over the years the rivalry has cooled by my perspective...but old rivalries can always be renewed
  17. i have a few family members in oneida and i have been to a few of their games. this team is definately a competitor not only in their district and region but also is state P.S. They do have computers in scott county .
