  1. Bigster, did the student enroll at Dyer Co while living in Lake Co this year? Was he on the team at Dyer Co? Did he tell Lake Co that he moved to Trenton then moved back? You may not know any of these but just some questions I had about it.
  2. I'm at Greenfield helping with our Junior High boys team so I'm still around. Middleton was a very good team that year as well and tough place to play at.
  3. What about the region championship game with Greenfield? Did you enjoy that one? Just kidding! I played in that game and yall were very good. Shouldve been a rematch on Saturday in Murfreesboro that year. I would rather play y'all than a private school.
  4. We had Bob Ross painting some amazing trees over here in the West on WLJT. Really wanted to see the Dale and the Hill go at it. Got to see the last minute.
  5. Another instance where the T$$AA let's football govern how basketball is done.
  6. Agreed. The worst you are doing is costing someone a silver ball. Still a big deal but not a travesty.
  7. What's the over under on # of times people complain about the blind draw if UC and JC get put on the same side?
  8. And that's why our current class system isn't good. We have decisions being made for basketball based on what's good for football.
  9. Agreed. But I would like to see more of a win or go home aspect of it.
  10. The way it is now favors the stronger districts/regions. And since you can't seed schools and have them travel long distances like they do in the NCAA it's the best thing going. Dont much care that you can lose 3 games and still advance but it is what it is I do favor Rats plan. I like that it makes the district finals and consolation mean a lot.
  11. Would cut down on games which means cut down on $$$$. Better for competition and making it really mean something but not for the bank account.
  12. I think it was in double A last year or the year before. Memphis open zoning is one thing but if this cat is 23 and playing that's ridiculous!
  13. Kesterson broke and dislocated a finger/knuckle in the game against Dresden. She's not worth 30 pts but is a difference maker.
  14. South Gibson lost in Memphis two years ago in the first round of region. I don't remember to who but I do remember they got throttled by Middleton in the semis. I think trader is spot on about the whole free agent thing. 3A in Memphis is strong and 2A ain't shabby either. And with guys athleticism can take you a long way where as with girls it is more about fundamentals and coaching. That's why Memphis is so different in guys and girls.
  15. It almost like the Tenn River has to be the cutoff and they dont want schools going across it for District games. You would have to put some of the 15A schools you mentioned into 12A and some of the 13A schools in 10A. Just a big shift eastward for some schools and that would even it out. I'd see one of those Google maps they make for the football playoffs with all the districts and see how close or far schools are from each other. I'm sure there are enough that are close enough to another district that it could be done to where there is 6-8 in each one.
  16. I actually saw him at the UC game @ Greenfield. I said I'd be surprised if there was a sweep, so........ SURPRISE!!
  17. Well I'm the first to admit when im wrong. If everybody says it then ill roll with it.
  18. Pretty sure what's on the website is right.
  19. If 14A sweeps the Tounament goes to SF. http://tssaa.org/schdir/tournaments/tournament.cfm?theSport=Basketball Scroll down a little ways. The T$$AA approves and sets the region. Schools get to vote on where they want to host it but the don't have the final say.
  20. It is a about 1 hour 45 mins by bus I believe. About as far if you go to Loretto which is in District 12 with Perry Co, Wayne Co etc. You might lose some of your current district/region rivalries if you had a mass realignment but you would still be able to play those games because if you keep district size to 6-8 teams you have plenty of non district games to do it. You will have some long bus rides no matter what you do so. Some places like Middleton and Lake County are stuck in no mans man.
  21. Galille, how are y'all going to work your district schedule next year? Are all 14 teams listed on T$$AA website going to field varsity teams? I'm very interested because it seems like a headache as far as scheduling goes.
  22. The other district (15) only has 7 teams so then you run into seeding issues cause you obviously can't take 8 from a 7 team district. So if you only take 4 from district 15 who are the 8 from district 16 going to play? But on the plus side your idea means more games which means more gates which means more $$. And we all who likes $$....
  23. I don't see a 14A sweep in the Lady Tornado Invitational. Gleason and Dresden are really good at home. One of those two win. Hopefully it's Gleason.
