Marion County's running back Derrick Springs signed a football grant in aid scholarship today with Georgetown College from Georgetown, KY. They are a NAIA school that has played for the NAIA national championship the last fours years...winning two of them. Derrick rushed for 1,898 yards and scored 30 TD's this year( one game 359 yards and 6 TD's).He lead the Chattanooga area in rushing and scoring. He has also been named to the East-West Shriners all-star game. Congratulations Derrick...everyone at Marion is very proud of you!!

I would like to congratulate Coach David Barger for being named Head Football Coach at Lake County. Marion County's loss is Lake County's gain. He is a very good coach and will do a great job at Lake County. I wish him the best and I know he will do well! Congratulations David!!

The assistant from Marion County is David Barger. Yes, from my understanding he is a finalist. He is young, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and would do a great job if hired. Probably the man for the job! I wish him luck! Lake County would be a great opportunity for him too!
