David Barger (former Lake County and Chattanooga Central head coach) would be a excellent choice for Oakland or any of the teams looking for a great head coach! Works hard and is always prepared! So are his players !

David Bargers teams have always been discipline but yet the kids love him ! He's grown into one of the best coaches in the state...imo! If he were given a chance at a school with Oakland's capability it would be awesome to watch his offense with those type athletes ! Hes an exciting coach and it shows in the way his teams have played for him! Coach Barger would be a great addition to Rutherford County football !!

Mac McCurry?? Now that would be interesting ? Wonder what he could do at a school like Oakland ? Bill Price?? Just retired at Signal Mountain..another excellent choice ? Steve Carson is a excellent coach too? David Barger?? The defensive coordinator at Giles County...has ten or more years of head coaching experience and would flourish at Oakland ! Great young coach?? JMO??

Congratulations to Warren County Pioneers football team and coaches ! After a slow start the Pioneers settled in and played much improved football in comparison to the recent past. The kids played hard, coaches coached hard and the Warren County community cheered hard !! Aside from the last five minutes of the game filled with multiple mental and physical mistakes the Pioneers were clearly the better team. As DCTigerfan would put it...??? I think I will be a better man and not run my mouth ...Class! That's the future of Warren County!! It's a tough change but Coach Smith will change the culture of Warren County football ! Good luck Dekalb County on the rest of your season . You have a great QB and a very fine hard playing team ! Also , Good luck Pioneers !! Correct your mistakes and continue to play hard ! Good things will come!! Go Pioneers !!

Sequatchie County will be to physical for a improving Community team . Sequatchie 35-7.

The scrimmage was formatted like this . First two quarters were fifteen minutes each with varsity versus varsity. The score was 21-18 Warren County. Three td's a piece . The difference being extra points . Both teams had bright spots and both teams have things to work on to improve . The second half was jv versus jv. Giles jv outscored Warren jv 7-6. That made the final 27-25 Warren County. Then the freshmen played one quarter with Warren County winning that 21-0. Great scrimmage for both teams that are clearly looking forward and concentrating on there first regular season game next week. Good luck on great seasons to both Giles County and Warren County!!
