  1. Ooltewah-Zach Woods to Will McMillan or Matt Lowe.
  2. Tom Weathers Red Bank Best coach then best coach now even at Soddy!!!
  3. Ok, we've seen the Ooltewah Owls in a couple of scrimmages as well as the Red Bank Lions so who is going to win. Who's got the best QB, Wide Outs, Running Backs and Best overall defense? Here is my take on the game. As far as Quarterbacks I believe Fabry gets the nod, Woods has looked good but Fabry has got the experience. Wide outs Red Bank has Brown but after that they fall off wheres Ooltewah has McMillan,Lowe and Langston all three are good, so I give the nod to Ooltewah. Running Backs has to go to Ooltewah what a stable with Caldwell, Loudimill and Marcus they are deep in this department. As far as defense is concern I worry about Ooltewahs defensive secondary a little but, up front and their linebackers are good and I will have to go with Ooltewah on this one. The kicking game has to go to Ooltewah Gregory is punting the ball out of sight right now and his kicking doesn't look bad either!
  4. I agree with you Grand, this mornings paper covering what is suppose to be a preview of the region 2-5A was a joke!!!!! This was a preview of MCMinn County and who cares unless your from McMinn. What happen to coverage that was given to High school teams in the Chattanooga area like years ago. I can remember as much as two full pages would be given to local teams like Red Bank, Ooltewah, Soddy, Hixson and etc. Not only about the teams but, articles about specific players who might have big impacts on their team, as well as being a college prospect. Who cares about Georgia, Alabama etc. I first want to know about the local high school teams, particularly around this time of the year. Their should have been an article on each team this morning as well as reviews on specific players and a predicted finish for the region. This was a disgrace!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I forgot to mention the most important thing about the scrimmage. This years team was just that a team!!! I didn't see much I out there, all I saw was togetherness and this is a huge difference from last year!!! thumb
  6. Owls defense will dominate with Burke, McDade and Company. Owls offense is probably stronger than it has ever been, super running backs, wide receivers ( Langston,McMillan and Lowe ). But, this years offensive line might be as good as two years ago, nuff said. The proof is in the pudding!!!!!!! Owls by two touchdowns!
  7. Is Jakeb Fabry still playing quarterback for Red Bank, I heard that he quit last week as well as two other players did.
  8. Indian are you on crack or what, sure he lost some first and second round games, but guess who they were too, yeh Cleveland.
  9. Sounds like ViTaVol is right on target!!!
  10. Best team money can buy!!! Very simular to Florida State---Renegades!
  11. Coach Tom Weathers while at Red Bank his overall winning percentage was 86.4% including all playoff games. One state championship, one runnerup and two of his teams finished ranked in the top ten in the nation by the end of the year. Weathers grts my vote, he has forgotten more about football than the rest of these coachs will ever learn.

Speaking of the past we also beat Riverdale in 78, 21 to 7 so I guess the past has spoke for itself. nuff, said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. mb68 are you on crack or what you think that Riggs, Ellis and Thurman are the only ones he sent to play football at the next level. Let me give you some names do the names Becksvoort, Ware, Corey Simpson, Gatewood, Price(two of them) Johnson, Stevens,Young, Upshaw, Akridge, Williams and the list can go on and on Weathers was and always will be the best coach in Chattanooga.

It was like taking candy from a baby in 2000, has Riverdale always been that slow or was it just the snow!!!

Sounds like Riverdale is a lot like Florida State, uh!!! lets see they have the same uniforms, all the coaches dress alike, their players come from everywhere, I wonder if they get their shoes free from the local Nikie store just like Florida State does. Every year same ole thing Riverdale this and Riverdale that, bla! bla! bla! at the end of the year just a brides maid and not a bride.
  17. Red Bank vs. Soddy Daisy at Finley Stadium right at 20,000 people only time that Finley was a sell out!!!
  18. Who will win and why, let's compare the quarterbacks, tailbacks, wide receivers, their defese and kicking game. Come on and give me your thoughts everybody!!!
  19. Ok! all of you loyal Red Bank fans for the past 30 plus years. This is what I want to know!!! In your opinion if you filled each position both offense and defense with players from 1970 to 2002 who would you put in each slot. Use the following guidelines for filling the positions. Also, please keep in mind that the offense line positions were a lot of times played by a player who was more known for his defensive side of the ball, yet he was a good offensive lineman as well. OFFENSE - (Quarterback, two tailbacks, two wide receivers, one tightend, center, two tackles, two guards and a kicker) DEFENSE - (Four defensive backs, two defensive ends, one nose guard, two defensive tackles, two linebackers and a punter) This is my all Red Bank Team since 1970!!! Offense - Quarterback ( Marty Lowe ), Tailbacks ( Gerald Riggs, Jeff Price ), Wide Receivers ( Corey Simpson, Gary Partrick ), Tight End ( Dee Parker - what a waste of talent ), Center ( Jeff Stephens ), Tackles ( Anthony Wallace, Stephen Long ), Guards ( Jeff Weathers, Todd Sparkmen ) Defense - Ends ( Jim Thurnman, Dub Cofer ), Nose Guard ( Ted Gatewood ), Tackles ( Brent Johnson, Mike Ducker ), Linebackers ( Mike Kelly, Paul "Scooter" Dodd ), Defensive Backs ( Glenn Moseley, Ryan McGiness, Mike Scalla and Greg Reeves ) Punter ( Alan Ridge )
  20. Give me a break, Boyd plays in the weakest clssification they don't play anyone until the playoffs. When they do play someone they get beat!!!!!! I would love to see them play an Oak Ridge or Maryville they would get killed!!!!!!!!!
  21. Obviously, you do not know a great back when you see one! I was at that game and Gerald was running behind a small line that was injured riddled. I am pretty sure that Maryville was picked to win that game and if I recall right Maryville went on to win the state in 2002. I wish Maryville would have played us the year before when we had our best team ever, I'll tell you this it would not have even been close. I saw Maryville play in the state championship game in 2000 right before we beat Riverdale by three touchdowns, believe me we you have toyed with them.
  22. 1. Gerald Riggs and Jemichael McGoles and Cole Goins-Red Bank 2001 2. Gerald Ware and Mike Hayes-Red Bank 1989 & 1990
