  2. Fulton did knock off fulton in 2002 in week 2 and you were thinking too much of fulton in the play offs that why we were in the state title
  3. Falcons are looking good right now as in Qbs we have 4 that look like they can lead the falcons back on top for the 4 yr Jack Wagner Dominick minor (dont know how to spell his name tranfered from carter) Jock stinson Jonathen all are capable to start we seniors just have to look after them but I think Qb is not an problem at Fulton unless a QB wants to tranfer and make this run
  4. the best running backs in all classes 1A dont know about 2A Dustin lindsey(alcoa) 3A Tyrone CobbFulton) 4A David Gaston(Central) 5A Gaston miller (Riverdale) n Spencer from Oakridge
  5. everybody comes back and I feel sorry for the QB and RB
  6. Alcoa didnt beat fulton at the scrimage but their offense was impressive but our defense was very young only 2 or 3 starters returned. I am excited to see the back to back champs vs 2a champs this coming season.
  7. I would say LC was the second toughest besides AE
  8. With only 13 seniors and 16 juniors making up this year's team, you would think if Fulton was recruiting players, the freshman & sophmores wouldn't out number the upperclassmen. Coaching and dedication makes the difference. As far as the fans go...we're 2 1/2 hours from Middle TN. We had already made that trip the previous weekend. And like it was stated earlier, Knoxville doesn't shut down the town like the smaller towns do. It didn't help that the game also conflicted with the SEC game that night.
  9. It has to be Buck Coatney. No one gave Fulton a chance for a playoff run after two early season losses and the thought of making it back to the Championship Game was a wild dream. Well not only did they revenge their earlier two losses on their way back to the Championship Game...they won their second state title in a row in style. Coach Coatney (and the whole Fulton coaching staff) did a remarkable job turning a very young and inexperienced team into a State Champion team.
  10. Prayers from Fulton High School, as well as, the Knoxville community.
  11. The information was given to me right after the game. Sorry for the mistake. But we'll keep the ball.
  12. I don't think anyone is trying to take anything away from Herndon. He didn't have the game everyone was expecting him to have. He was suppose to be the difference for Greenbrier and wasn't. It's that simple. We can't speak for any game other than today's. That's the only one we know first hand.
  13. Way to go Falcons. What a great win. Mr. Football ended up with (I believe) 4 total yards. So it didn't really matter if we had a nominated player or not, huh? We had Jam, Tip, Bish, Ish, & Cobb. I'll take a total team effort over one player any day. Greenbrier played a good half. We played a good game. BACK 2 BACK STATE CHAMPIONS...We'll look forward to 2005.
  14. I've already said more than once (and so has alot of other Fulton folks) we're not taking Greenbrier lightly. We know they're a good team or they wouldn't be playing tomorrow. No one from Fulton has said we're the greatest thing since sliced bread, but other folks sure have made it sound like that. We're very proud of our team. They've worked hard to get here. They've taken one game at a time and continue to do that. No one is looking past tomorrow though. I personally hope this is the best game all year. Both teams are very deserving of the opportunity to play for the championship. Best of luck to both teams.
  15. This thread is Fulton vs. Greenbrier...we don't care about White House, we don't care about Smith Co. (anymore), nor do we want to hear about any other game or team either school played this year. The one that counts is tomorrow at noon. GO FULTON!!!
  16. Let's get back to football...the next thing you know you all will be talking about someone's momma. Waiting for Saturday
  17. Oh yeah...we know Smith Co. doesn't belong in this thread. Been there, done that. We're not the ones still talking about it.
  18. I still can't figure out why GB fans think that Fulton is coming into this game just for the fun of it. We've worked hard to get back here. No one gave us a chance of making the playoffs little alone returning to the championship game. We haven't compared any of our players, past or present, to NFL players. They play high school football...and have played it pretty well the last 3 years. Those comments came from non-Fulton posters. I said earlier we support our team, just like GB does. I don't see why we can't keep posts positive, not cocky, just positive.
  19. I don't think the Fulton players, coaches, or fans are doubting Greenbrier's athletes or abilities. Obviously if they weren't really good, they wouldn't be playing Saturday. Fulton faithful are just as sure of their team's ability to win the "Big Game" as the Greenbrier fans are...and there's nothing wrong with that. Everybody needs to remember...support your kids & team win or loose.
  20. Let's wait and see what kind of shape the Falcons are in come Saturday. I wouldn't bet against them that's for sure.
  21. This year's team started out very young and inexperienced and has matured considerably as the season has progressed. We knew it would be hard to compete with AE (week 2) having only played one other game. LC (week 4) was ugly. LC came in ready to play and we didn't. Once we were down, there was no coming back. I think it took that loss to turn this team around. They have really geled as a team with one goal to accomplish; and that's getting back to the 'boro. Ish has assumed the role of starting QB and stepped up as a leader on the field. The RBs are hard to stop and the WRs can catch just about anything thrown their way. This team has come a long way since September.
  22. Antonio Hamilton at Fulton Has to be one of the front runners in this catagory.
