  1. It is possible to be excited, and still have a little cl***.

    I wasn't surprised at all! 4-0! 4-0!
  3. Yeah, we recieved them yesterday. Apparently we're above you guys from Campbell County. I asked why you guys had better seats and they said some of you were season ticket holders, and the rest of you had built up alot of repeat customer preference points!
  4. Maybe, but we'll still live in Anderson County!
  5. The more you protest, the more riled up they get. It's not worth the aggravation. Besides, Anderson County is STILL, the best place to live in the whole state.
  6. The reason we don't want to play Campbell County in anything is because it hurts our strength of schedule rating, in everything!
  7. The quote was that AC got blown out by a Fulton team that is rebuilding. My trophy case comment was about Fulton.
  8. Rebuilding? The only thing that team is rebuilding is their trophy case!
  9. Both teams lost to AC 5-1
  10. The Fulton game that year seemed to take so much out of the Mavs, emotionally and physically. After beating AE at AE that year during the regular season, the Mavs played their worst game of the year, and lost the following week to AE, who did go on to become state champs. What a district!

All those years of losing, apparently have really stuck in some Campbell County folks craws it appears. I guess you've got to have something to blame it on, so let's blame it on AC recruiting, "yeah, that's the ticket!". AC coaches don't have to recruit, great programs recruit. Those kids who wan't something better come south on their and their parents own accord. It is because our coaching staff is so good, that they want to come and play at AC, so to suggest that we need different coaches because we are so young this year, and have lost to teams the quality of West, Kingston, and Fulton, is an absolute Joke. I hope you folks are around to hear from the next three years, because paybacks will be sweet!
  12. I guess that answers my questions. If Fulton plays like that from here on out they can beat anybody. They just had too much for the Mavs. We have lost several key players from skill positions, mostly due to disciplinary issues. No excuses have been made from us, as the younger guys have stepped in and played very hard. I'm not trying to make excuses here either. This district is just so tough, and even the slightest let down punishes you. We will continue to play hard, you can count on that. Congrats to the Falcons, and good luck the rest of the way, you have a great team.
  13. I have definately been keeping track of the Falcons. I actually love your program, and consider several of your coaches as friends. I didn't mean for my comments to be disrespectful to your team. I do think my questions are legitimate though, and you're right, we will find out alot about the future of these two teams tonight. It will be the turning point for one of them. Good luck.
  14. The final score actually was 5-1. If you look at the time of my post you'll see that my previous 5-1 was a prediction. Come on, somebody's got to be impressed!
  15. ...that boys are more public and girls are more private!
  16. Chill is showing his age, that playoff game was actually three years ago, as Rob Wright took over from Justin Price for two years as a starter at QB. I agree it was one of the best HS football games I've ever seen, and certainly the best comeback. This years game, I think, goes to which ever team can tap into the pride that makes their respective programs great. For Fulton the question is, do they have a full belly from two back to back great seasons and a championship ring? Do they get past that, and regain the work ethic and pride that got them there? For AC it's the question of, can we band together as a team, and trust that we've put in more time in the weightroom, we've dropped more blood and sweat on field, and we can play smack mouth longer that they can. Pride comes from coaching, so which teams staffs have connected better with their players for this weeks game? We'll see on Friday.
  17. What was this thread about again?
  18. This is a must win for AC. I don't know what the outcome will be but I think it will be a battle, with lots of big hits, and heart by both teams. I hope it does come down to the kicking game, because I think we have a slight advantage there.
  19. Kingston played smarter that AC. Alot of the plays that worked for AC on offense, weren't repeated as much as I thought they should have been, still hindsight is blah blah. I will congratulate Kingston on a good win, and something their program really needs this year. Food for thought though. When a runners forward progress is stopped, and he is being pushed backwards and on his way to the ground, you cannot call a fumble. HS refs are gonna miss calls, that is part of the game, but they ought to get the easy ones right.
  20. So you've got AC going 1-4 the rest of the way? Don't plan a trip to Vegas anytime soon. The way you pick em, the casino's will be pickin you up at the airport in a limo, and givin you free room and board.
