  1. How bout it folks? I guess the word to say is, "sweet revenge" Franklin had one of the best games defensively i have ever seen! And the offense finished their chances. For those of you who don't know, franklin took it 3-0. Quite different from the Katy Hunter Tournament when Farragut beat Franklin 4-0, i guess now you will believe me when i say that franklin was not mentally in that game. But the goals for franklin were scored by, Freshman Kacie Horner(break away), Sophmore Monica Dunham(assisted cross by Freshman halie Proffitt), and i am not positive at all but i am thinking the last goal was scored by senior Leslie Lopez, please correct me if i'm wrong. Awesome job lady rebels! congratulations state champs of 2003!
  2. First of all i'm not sure if you meant the ball to the girls throat or the foot, but if it was a ball then let me say this. If you have been around the game long enough, you would know that most girls in high school can not aim a ball directly at a certain body part of an opponent, let alone a throat. I am almost positive it was incidental. The game was hard-fought from both teams. Franklin came out strong with 2 goals in the first 6 minutes. Impressive i must say. Later on to score another goal. And only letting one goal from hendersonville in later on in the second half. Just to add to what FHSsleber123123 said, I really only noticed "nasty" behavior from one, maybe two girls, to the rest of the Hendersonville team, i applaud you for the way you played. Great game to both teams, and congratulations Lady Rebels!
  3. How do you think the game will turn out? It's tonight (10/25) at 7 at franklin.
  4. Just to correct you, Franklin girls soccer has beaten brentwood 3 times
  5. I must say that Franklin had more opportunities on goal than Brentwood did. There was even one that I myself thought (and saw that) it was in, for Franklin. I was guessing the Ref. was out of position, but hey the game is over, Franklin won it fair and square. Good luck the rest of the way Rebs!
  6. I'm also thinking Hendersonville will take it 3-1.
  7. Does anyone have predictions about this region? (region 6)
  8. In region 6 i believe that Franklin will beat Brentwood in the Region finals.
  9. Yes, the game is overwith and might i say that the only so called "luck" was when kate hughes shot and it slipped through the keeper's knee, that was the only goal brentwood had. The game was hard fought, and if you're complaining about the refs calls?! please! i don't think they called enough! there was one time when one of the players (name isn't to be mentioned) with both hands pushed one of the franklin players flat on the ground. And the ball wasn't even NEAR them. so yea, just wait till next thursday, i am pretty sure the two will meet.
  10. Tonight 10/15 Franklin plays Brentwood for the District finals. What'll happen?? the game is at brentwood high school at 7. COME and WATCH!!! GO REBELS!
  11. This game was a lot closer than the other game, however Franklin still came out with the win. It was 1-0 franklin at halftime and then centennial came out and scored one with about 10 min. left in the game, we went through the rest of reg. time tied and went into the first overtime, still tied, and then in the second over time franklin scored off of a rebound from a PK, and held Centennial for the rest of the overtime. FRANKTOWN BABY!
  12. Franklin has done it once and we can do it again. The last game was 4-1 Franklin, and today is a new day, and a new game, Franklin has the "will to win" and the players to do it. Good luck.
  13. It is hard to believe you would list Tullahoma and omit both Hendersonville and Franklin! Tullahoma has played a very weak schedule versus those two schools and would have an extremely difficult time getting past either. Time will tell. I agree, these two teams (Franklin and Hendersonville) I have to say are definately the top two teams in the state, this game will be a GREAT one to watch. I hope we (franklin) will get the chance to play them again. Hopefully franklin will come out ready to play, unlike last time, good luck to everyone in state!
  14. I think that Franklin's mid-field was pretty weak in that game, they didn't play half as good as they normally do.
  15. Leslie Lopez scored Franklin's goal. If you watched the game, you will know what I am talking about...... If only Franklin could play with the aggresion that they played with the last five minutes of the game for the ENTIRE game (partial quote from Keith Parrish).
  16. I know yall might just think that I am saying this because my name has "rebels" in it, but i'm only speaking the truth. I believe that if the Lady Rebels just calm down and put a whole game together instead of only playin one good half, then they could blow the comandos out of the water. But we all know that anything could happen. I predict the score will be 2-0 or 2-1 Franklin.
  17. The game last night was very exciting, and a lot of fun to play in. That was my first Brentwood experience, and the competition is great. Someone challenges almost everything. I don't think there was a moment that I didn't have someone on my back pressuring me. It was a great game. Franklin played very well in the first half, however our intensity dropped in the second half I think. That was when Brentwood scored their one and only goal. Kaley Forrest had an awesome goal within the first 5 minutes of the game. A perfect corner from Sarah Defatta, and Kaley found it and headed it in the left corner. Congrats Rebs!!
  18. I just have one thing to add to that.... I noticed that all the articles in the news paper and everything that people post on this normally have to do with either defense or forwards, well mostly forwards, but what about mid-field??? mid-field gets the ball to the forwards right?? So just gonna add ..... Who has the edge in mid-field, who are the key players?
  19. I think Franklin has many more players to watch then just those that sportsguy listed. So whoever comes out to the game on Sept. 16 @ 7pm just watch ALL of the players.
  20. Look, i basically don't know anything about FRA's coach, and we have played them once and they weren't that dirty, i mean they were your average physical team. And believe me there is NOTHING wrong with a physical team. well most of the time there isn't, but the point that I am trying to make, is that all coaches want to keep their players safe! I don't think there is a coach I know that hasn't yelled at the ref for a call that was bad in their eyes. So don't go judging their coach until you have played for him.
  21. Franklin vs. St. Benedict : to correct you redbaron franklin won 5-1, goals scored for franklin by, monica dunham(2), Leslie Lopez (2), and Halie Proffitt (1) Franklin vs. Bearden : 6-0 golas scored for franklin by, leslie lopez(3), Anna Perrigan (1), Gabby Mayer (1), and Halie Proffitt(1) Leslie Lopez also got offensive mvp, and a girl from hendersonville sarah brandt i think?? one of the brant's got defensive mvp CONGRATS
  22. They aren't ridiculous posts, everyone has their off days.
  23. True, centennial did have a number of shots, but so did Franklin. To be honest, Franklin did control most of the game, with the acception of one goal. All four of Franklin's goals came from Leslie Lopez, Monica Dunham, Kacie Horner, and Anna Perrigan. It was a good game to watch and to play. Although I must say that Franklin was missing two of their key players.... Callie Key (broken wrist) and Sarah Defatta. Both outside mid-fielders. So Franklin did not have near as much depth as they normally do. Even in spite of that, FHS stepped up to the challenge, knowing that CHS's coach was coaching her last game at chs, and knowing that they would come out HARD to try and win for their coach. Centennial was pumped, yet so was Franklin.
  24. I'd say that the franklin team for the most part had a pretty good night!
