I said last week that we threw the Coalfield game so we could take an early trip to Cloudland, I knew we made the right decision all along.

As footballman685 said, cak-coalfield will be about who's defense plays best, not about the quarterbacks. Both quarterbacks will play well. CAK's defense needs to step it up. They're quick, and if they can stop the run i think they can stop coalfields offense. I think they will. CAK's offense will play well. Coalfield is good though and will definitely come ready to play. I give CAK a slight edge 24-21.

CAK overall played pretty well especially considering how well sunbright has been against other region teams. CAK's defense, though it has struggled this year, played a nearly flawless game against sunbright. CAK's offense played pretty well, but didn't look as explosive as they have in other games. That's not a problem for CAK though. The offense played as well as it needed to and I think they'll play even better against coalfield and oneida. The crucial point for cak is the play of their defense. If their defense can step it up like they did against sunbright, they have an excellent chance of winning their last two games.

Michael Paul Gilbert is good. Trae Helton is a good player for Greenback. Mark Cunningham is certainly a candidate for best player--heck, he leads the entire knoxville area in passing yards! I don't know that he is necessarily anywhere near one of the best players, but Midways running back is a tough player.

With all due respect to Oakdale they aren't going to win friday. I think they could get some respect from CAK though if they play them tough. It'd get my attention if they scored. Anyhow I pick CAK 38-7 (those 7 coming against the 2nd string in the second half).

CAK finally wins an away game, a close game, and a game against a decent team for the first time in their history. Awesome. Maybe they can get their season back on track now.

And a bit of a change in my thinking after today. I pick CAK 31-28. CAK should not win easy though and they won't. If CAK wins it will be a close game.

Midway gave CAK a solid pounding all game long. CAK never played well; Midway just didn't get comfortable until the second half. They adjusted to CAK's offense which didn't respond to the adjustment, and they scored on one or two play drives nearly every time they had the ball, with the exception of one drive where they got 25 yards in penalties on one play. They didn't score that time. CAK's defense would be better off laying down and letting the other team score and saving their energy for offense. Then, hopefully, they could respond with a touchdown on every single possession, time it so that they score last, and go for a two-point conversion on the last drive and win by one. What biggamer said about CAK is apparently right. My apologies to you biggamer for suggesting otherwise.
