  1. Bad news, APB. I hear that Michael is moving the BOH to K-town?
  2. With the jump to D5-4A this coming season, the Redskin's scrimmages and schedule have been updated to play against larger schools. The spring game was last Friday against Farragut. We have scrimmaged against WB, but have never played them in a regular season game. With the close proximity of these two schools, this series could develop into a good rivalry.
  3. With our Sensational Sophomores having spent the winter in the weight room and an opportunity to have gained more maturity and field presence, plus more time to adjust to the new Offensive Coordinator… the Redskins are poised to have a break out year. Moving to District 5, 4-A gives Loudon new life against new and different opponents, in addition to re-igniting past rivalries. Aligning with teams to the South that we play in the Sequoyah Conference further adds to the intrigue (Sweetwater, Sequoyah, McMinn Central, Polk Co., and throw in Lenoir City). We scrimmaged WB about 2003, and didn’t match-up too well against the Govs. But, I have September 14th (LQC vs. Polk) and November 1st (Redskins vs. Polk) circled on my canender!
  4. REBELRON, Contact me at: vetter_77@yahoo.com, I need your help getting a football lettered...
  5. The weight limits are discussed and voted on every year in the Commissioner’s pre-season meeting. And every year player safety is the overriding issue to continue using weight/age limitations for the Junior division. The vote has never been close (to abolish weight/age requirements).
  6. Actually, there were off-setting penalties on that play. #12 from CAK and #50 on the Redskins. #50 said he was only retaliating, but he was not ejected...
  7. Mr. Denzel Boyd is someone we have played against for years - he had to be accounted for on every play. That's why I have enjoyed watching great players from other organizations move up through the ranks and on to high school. How about that 90 yard screen pass he took to the house last year against the Redskins? And this season Englewood has joined the Sequoyah Conference, their first taste of league competition came in week No. 1 against the LQC at Dukes Field. Ouch... We were 47-5 last season with three undefeated divisional Championships.
  8. The last meeting with the Chargers was the third game of the 2011 season, with the ‘Skins grounding the Chargers to the tune of 47-14 in Englewood. Friday night will be the 37th meeting between these two schools, the all time record breaks down like this: 27 wins, 9 losses, with 0 ties of course in favor of the “Big Redâ€. A little further back in history to 2008, the Chargers scalped the Redskins 13-34. After two tough losses and scoring only seven points, Loudon is still looking for their offensive identity. It's good to have Central back on the schedule as boys from each team are familiar with each other from playing little league football against each other for many years.
  9. The Loudon Quarterback Club, feeder program for the Redskins, overall regular season record stands at 32-8. Our Indians (Junior team) ran the table with a 10-0 record this season.
  10. My office is in Louisville, the BOH has been on the lunch rotation for several years now... however that was the first time that I was able to go on game day. I'm the Redskins Statistician. If all these people on CoachT had to play Alcoa every year they wouldn't be on here running their mouths...

  11. Yes I did. Me and my band of idiots were in the back room laughing at you....

Just kidding. It was great to see you guys there. Don't just wait for the Loudon game to stop by. Many schools are represented at noon every Friday. CAK and Webb among others!

    Please come back!

  12. Hey Bridge, I went to the BOH last Friday at noon in my full Redskin regalia? Did you see me? Todd Kelley was there...

  13. Hey DmacDaddy, Was this the little league game you were thinking about? 2005 Sequoyah Conference Week #8 Polk Co. Wildcats Lose Big at Home, LQC takes 3 out of 4 INDIANS The Indian Captains were #4 Zach Franklin, #27 Kadrean Brewster, #34 David Lee Haskins, and #82 Aaron Anderson. Polk Co. won the coin toss and deferred until the second half. The three top teams in the league are Etowah, Polk Co., and the Loudon Indians. Since the Knights have already beaten both Polk and Loudon, this game is for the second seed in the playoffs. Taking a play right out of Coach Matlock’s play book, the Wildcats kicked short and recovered the onsides kick! In fact Polk Co. would go on and grab every kick-off (opening K-O and after both of their scores) in the game? With the ball and in good field position, Polk Co. drove down and scored. With the 2-point conversion, the Wildcats lead eight to zip at the end of the first quarter. Things didn’t get much better in the second period as the Indians lost a fumble with 7:47 left on the clock. Finally settling down, #9 Mathew Wallace bulled in from the 16 yard line at the 1:46 mark. The extra point attempt failed, leaving the score at half-time 8-6, Wildcats. Polk Co. scored on their opening drive of the third stanza, with a 39 yarder. Loudon finally got the football back after a defensive stop, Wallace was off to the races, streaking down the sideline for a 60 yard touchdown! The extra points were posted by #34 David Lee Haskins. And just like that, Loudon closes the gap to 14-16. The Indians controlled the football for most of the 3rd and 4th quarters. Loudon surged ahead to stay on Haskins one yard plunge. Defensively #16 Nick Roach continues to lead the team in tackles, knocking down 10 ball carriers for the game. #51 Brandon Whitfield posted seven stops, #9 Mathew Wallace and #82 Aaron Anderson had six tackles each. Haskins, #3 Wade Plemons, #67 Cory Lawson, and #23 Jake Brown each added five tackles also. Total offense was 277 yards. Rushing accounted for 228 yards on 32 attempts for three touchdowns and a 2-point conversion; while passing added 49 yards. In a tough physical, hard hitting game, the Indians (7-1) are victorious 20-16. Go Indians!
