Lets face it, the L.A. Lakers would have a hard time playing in Roan Mtn. Its just so hard to win up there. Good luck to the 'Landers this season, exept when you play us of course! CreekerCalhoun, I stand up for you at school, but I won't on here. So watch what you say on here. Don't say anything stupid!( I know thats hard for you to do. )

Well, it is impossible to say for sure until we start playing. But the same team(aside from three players: one from graduation, one from questionable inelagability, and one from knee injury)who beat UH twice is returning. Yes the same UH who went to the 1A semifinals last year. All the key players are returning: Rusty Chambers(East Tenn. leading scorer, all classifacations) Josh Jones, Derick Cline, Cody Collins. Keep an eye out for sophmores Josh Lowe, Aaron Greer, and Tee Blevins. Also returning are Tyler McCann, Rusty Holtsclaw, and Chase Reeves. We also have, in my opinion, a fairly promising freshman in Brandon Roper. So, you may want to watch out for us come March.

Hey Coach T, when I entered Unaka's boys schedual I messed up. The first game with Cosby is at Cosby. I also mistakenly entered the Knox Catholic game twice. We only play them once.

That's right.......I wonder if any other 1A schools have a schedual like that?

Yes, it may seem daunting when you first look at it, but after a little wh...... who am I kidding, we have a very tough schedual: Science Hill, Tennessee High, Knox. Catholic, Temple, just to name a few. But I think it will help(and honestly, I think we can pretty much handle it).

I just wish I had a plane ticket over there. It'll be one of the best games of the year.

I just want to say congradulations from the Rangers of Unaka for beating the Eagles. I told you if you kept working, you would improve. Yall have got one heck of a quarterback in thet freshman. Can't wait to play you next year up on the Creek here. Good luck!

Yeah, they are pretty nice people. And their campus, man, it is nice! When we played them in basketball, when we got there, we thought we had taken a wrong turn(one of many ) and had mistakenly parked at a small collage. I'm sure they will be a class act......Good luck!

I can't say much about basketball, CoachT may not like it since this is a football forum. If you want full coverage, wait till Monday evening when the basketball forum opens. But for now, 4 names to watch out for: Chambers, Cline, Collins, and Jones.

They try. Appalachia VA and J.J. Kelly VA were great last year. Shoot, Appalachia was runner-up. It's just they have combined for one win this season.

I can't see him leaving Cloudland until they win a championship, and I doubt he would leave after that. He may stay at Cloudland as long as Charlie Bayless has been at Happy Valley! I don't even know time will last that long!

Thanks. Most people would say that Unaka was pidiful and moved on. We do have a long way to go, but we have finaly started to climb that ladder. I hope it is a close game for the fans sake( alot of my friends are going to see that game tonight since we have an off-week) but I also hope Etown loses By the way, what school do you go to A DOGMAN? Hampton I'm guessing.

Your right, it is time to quit whinning. BOTH SIDES! Both coaches, in my opinion, did, uhh, less-than-inteligent moves last week. Stuff like that happens. But its time to move on. O.K.!!!!! Krich, I'm still waiting for that paper!

Hey ie3, haven't heard from you in a while. Good luck against Knox Catholic. They are a great team. Pretty much had their way with Hampton.

Cumberland Gap is a high school in region 1AA. This is their first year of exestence. Created by the consoladation of Powell Valley(5-6 last season in 1A) and Forge Ridge( has never had a football team to my knowledge) they have put together a fairly decent football team. What are yall doing up there? Did Powell Vallery have a down year last year? Did Forge Ridge have alot of able bodies? Is it a coaching change? Whatever it is, it seems to work. I like rollredroll's idea of a forum for the "smaller" sports. Lacrosse is a very interesting sport....I would play it if my school had it. I don't know for sure, but is lacrosse even in the TSSAA?
