  1. Yeah, it looked like he had hurt his chest. He took some shots.
  2. Any of all see the hit that Gaston laid on Ta Ta Caldwell? Amazing.
  3. Yep, and then the massive excuses followed.
  4. Just because he can breakoff an unmotivated Hixson team doesn't mean he's going to break off the defending state champs. I'm sure he's capable of plenty, but all of his passes are high, he can't throw that well. His best pass is the "jump ball" to Smith. And like I said, he has no moves. I've seen kids with moves, spin moves, swim moves, juke moves. He's just a straight up runner. He's good at what he does though, don't get me wrong.
  5. What happened? Hixson happened.
  6. I wish someone would give me a good breakdown of the matchup. Ta Ta Caldwell of Red Bank can tear you up with his speed. Red Bank loves throwing short posts and slants to him. Red Bank doesn't really throw it deep, and their running game is average. Their defense is one of the fastest person per person. Their D-lineman aren't impressive in size, but they are disciplined and fast. Gaston Miller can make things happen if he makes it past their front 5. Red Bank's defense is definately their strong point. A good pass attack will beat them, but a team that rely's heavily on the ground game or a QB that cannot maintain prescence in the pocket will have a hard time against them.
  7. Let's see. A speedy defense vs. A speedy QB. I don't know much about Central, but I'm saying they rebound from last week's scare.
  8. Maryville should have no problem. I saw Powell play last night, and they are impressive at times, but a well disciplined team will beat them anyday.
  9. We have a few good ones. 17, 31, 11, 10, 14, and 35. The same ones on defense and 34.
  10. White Co. likes to establish ground game early. In the one game I saw against Hixson, they hit their RBs real low and eliminated the ground game. Their QB threw 3 INTs. They're only real danger is JJ Taylor.
  11. Nope, no real common opponents. Hixson is a run oriented team, but have gone to the skies as of the past few weeks. Their record before going to the skies 5-2. Our record since then 1-2. Our defense is decent, but our offense has been prone to turning the ball over deep in their own territory. I don't know much about Powell, I've heard Watts is dangerous, but can't throw as well as he can run.
  12. I don't know much about Halls. I do know that Red Bank has a pretty good defense on the run, their pass defense is sketchy. So, depending on how well Halls D plays and whether or not they are accustomed to passing will determine if they upset the number 1 seeded Red Bank. Also, if Halls has some decent tackles that can block quick rushing ends, they might fair well. Red Bank has an undersized but speedy defensive front.
  13. Lol, www.mapquest.com ? I can ask a friend who frequents trips to Knoxville. I live in Hixson.
  14. Yeah, Red Bank will have their hands full. Halls is fourth, but look who's ahead of them. Maryville, Central, and Powell. Those are three teams that could win any given region.
  15. I wish I could go watch this game, good luck Ooltewah, you're going to need it.
  16. White Co. fans, some of ya'll are seriously hopeless, and give other Sparta fans bad names. I know all of ya'll aren't idiots, but geez. White Co. WILL not win. If they do, I will never watch another highschool football game in my life.
  17. Wow, that's a bold prediction. I know the region is talented, but that talented?
  18. Rhea Co. has a very talented QB, but nothing else really spectacular. If West is as good as I've heard, they should have no problem winning this one.
  19. It'll be interesting to see how we prepare for the big Lee Smith and the extremely fast Watts.
  20. Red Bank, by no means has the best D. The playoffs will reveal that.
  21. Powell will play at Hixson this coming Friday in a first round playoff game. I understand that Cody Watts and Lee Smith sat most of Friday night against Clinton but will be back in full effect for the Hixson game. We welcome you all to Hixson. Hopefully we can make this a good game. Any predictions?
  22. Didn't White Co. lose to Hixson? Yeah, they did. Anyways, Red Bank played a nice game. Hixson was in it early, but great field position for Red Bank all night made it difficult for us to work any kind of offense. Red Bank's defensive front gave us fits all night. They must've had like 5 sacks in the second half. It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, but Red Bank had some clear advantages. They had a slight speed edge, and their current Offensive Coordinator E.K. Slaughter is our former (for the past three years) Defensive Coordinator. It showed. He geared his offense against the defense that he basically designed 3 years ago. Anyways, congratulations to Red Bank, ya'll earned it. I'm proud of the Hixson Wildcats though, we did a great job just to put ourselves in position to win a championship. How bout those preseason polls huh? Time for the playoffs.
  23. White Co. is an average 4A football team with a big FB and a highly talented but poorly disciplined wide receiever. Maryville wins 42 to 0.
