i mainly just read the posts on coacht, i know the pc rule. i love to read others bash and pick against me and my guys. more fuel for the fire. no credit asked for!

Coggins won mr football in 97, the year after this game. Big plays in this game came from Ben Modena, Tyrone Richardson and Nathan Staggs. these guys broke some big plays on the offensive side. Coggins did not have a big night. The whole defense played like World beaters. Green was an awesome back and probably should have won mr. football that year. i will never forget the post game speech by coach rice and coach crews, it seemed like all the fans that were there came down to hear it. they were so proud that night.

i played for coach rice i those days. those games were always a war. usually it went to the home team. vikingpride is talking about the 1996 game and it doesnt take much persuation to get me to stick that film in to watch. they had running back named Green i believe. he was a big guy but we shut him down that night. both teams played hard for their coaches and they got the most out of their players. There was no doubt on Saturday, that we had played moore county becuase we could barely move. hard hitting highly emotional games. wore out mentally and physically. Wow, that is what highschool football is all about and what we want to get rolling here in Linden. A thread about rice and mac and the stories from those games and the week a practises before Friday could fill this whole forum. THAT WAS A RIVALRY. to bad coacht wasnt going back then.

that was a very good team in 95-96 although i am a little bias, since my wife played for them.(shonte') ironic that you compared them to this years team since we were cheering for pc. speaking of that team... i noticed the last time i was at wc gym that the 95-96 state runner up picture had been taken down. i thought i would give some publicity to the perry co jv squad on a terrific jv season. they finished out the season with a record of 6-1. they scored an avg of 30 points a game and only gave up avg of 6 points a game. they defeated 2 schools in AA. and a couple in region 6 which they will probably play in the coming years. including waynesboro and collinwood. these guys, like most 1a schools, get the job of scout team all week and get little credit or recognition, so monday nights are a big time event. they do a great job giving the varsity a look every week and are a big part of the varsitys success, but little playing time on friday. great job guys! keep it up. pchs is in good hands for the next few years. congradulations to all the other young guys out there playing on monday nights. phil 4:13 i can do all things through CHRIST which strengthens me.

Its only been 2 weeks since we started working out, but the intensity is higher than ever in the pc weightroom. blaster is right,. we will be back. congradulations waynesboro wildcats for bringing home the 6a championship. its been a while since 1994 when we won it. now you can focus on mc and then the playoffs good luck. i predict a region 6 sweep of region 5. cwood , wayne co, mount pleasent, and mc are all great teams.

wc has an impressive run attack. jcs has pretty good linebackers should be a great game. it is up to wc defense to win this game. i dont know that they can. good luck to both teams.

That sums it up pretty good greg c. the players know what has to be done. in no way do we believe that we are out of the running. we have probably messed up a playoff at home unless the right teams lose. Our backs are against the wall and we plan to fight our way off.

number 2 is the best player for cornersville. He ran a punt back 96 yards against us early in the season. then he caught a two yard out and took it around 50 ticks to the house. all of a sudden they are up 12-0. then they were done! we scored around 30 unanswered points. get on them quick. good luck to both teams. cats 35 cornersville 6 i really enjoyed the jv game monday and look forward to this monday as well. it was good to see coach crews and the staff.

perry co and wayne co played in a jv game last night and will play again next monday night in perry co. last night the score was wayne co 14 perry co 6. we played a lot of young guys and it was a close game although it was not in a game like situation. it was more like a scrimmage with no kicking game used. both teams played very well. both teams also start key so and fr on varsity but it was still a rivalry waiting to be started. maybe by the time these guys are seniors the region will be worked out so we can play regular season varsity, but thats up to the t$$aa

we also have key so and fr that dont play jv because of varsity action. we dont have a big jv squad but they love to play. most of them have never played and are learning the game but give them a couple of years.

hey pride. those numbers are pretty impressive. sounds like he doesnt pitch very often. i am not taking away from his teammates but i believe ty and justin had a better supporting cast. frazior, modena, coggins, guss and the o line was very impressive if you can remember. i think you can. i think it avg around 200 lb and very quick. but i havnt seen so i am just guessing. how is the o line? sounds like that region is getting as tough as it used to be when the region champs was always between moore co wayne co and maybe collinwood and huntland ever once in while one more thing. i seen the report about how the regions would be realigned if private schools were out or moved to AA. in both cases perry co would be in the district with wayne co. i would say that will create a huge rivalry. gate money would be huge. what do you think .

Thanks wildcat pride. i did not need to know your name i just wanted to see if i knew you. i dont post on here much at all but i do read it all the time and i look for your post to see how the wildcats are doing. not all of the people in perry co are like the goofs that get on here. i like 99.9% of the people. they are a lot like the people from Waynesboro believe it or not . Dont get me wrong though i would love to play the wildcats and beat you guys. we defend the run pretty good. our passing game is getting better. Believe it or not, Coach rice and our staff put in the Wing T offense!! He used to be totally against that. How is the Defense? Under coach crews, probably great. Is it still the split 4?
