hey ball dad glad you got to see him twice. he is extremely talented kid with great potential.anyone who saw the last half of the gallatin saw what he can do. he is physically gifted but definetly needs a true college qb coach to work with him the kid from riverdale is a great athlete and single handedly beat smyrna(not with his qb skills which were average) but he wouldn't be the starting qb if wolke played there he is good

Hey lhs9898 you are right smyrna won because wolke faked an injury. I know its hard to believe but once he stepped on the field Blackmsns coaches knew a whole week of preparing for someone else went down the drain and it was hopeless. It also caused Blackmans offense not to be able to score and actually Blackmans band was off key on 2 songs due to this great chararde. Even the doctors at the hospital faked an x-ray and the walking boot he wore all week was really a prop from a movie. There is also some talk about the rain that were having being caused by this also. WOLKE WAS INJURED HE PLAYED ( NEVER RAN IT ONCE ) BLACKMAN KNEW HE WAS GOING TO PLAY AND PREPARED SMYRNA WON WITH A TEAM EFFORT HE IS GOING TO MISS THE LHS GAME LATER, YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST SO GET YOUR EXCUSES READY.

i wouldn't let him play but how many chances do you get to play the undefeated state champs. his injury is not fake he could hardly walk last monday. somewhere down the line the out of region could be a tie breaker brentwood didn't win the state champs without talent and coaching so it should be a great game perfect game at a perfect time for smyrna

balckman must stop link smyrna couldn't stop him with 10 in the box and the 11th spying on him! i would suggest kidnapping him when he gets off the bus because he is that good! when he gets in the secondary he looks like a gazelle running! i don't know if gallatin can pass but when you can run a qb sneak for 97 yards why would you try!

smyrna offense is starting to hit on all cylinders the run game has power and speed and the passing game is getting to where it needs to be now that orona has stepped up and is a threat to score anytime. we have 3 good receivers in johnson,orona and childs brentwood will play their best game of the year this week so smyrna will have to play well to have a chance i hope brentwood puts their focus on wolke because our running game can beat you brentwood =undefeated last years state champs huge favorite non region game pressure of winning streak is beginning to show no one thinks smyrna can win at home I LIKE IT

johnny c you are correct in noting what everyone else overlooks. smyrna is a very balanced team on offense and has a very good running game. the coach at smyrna is a run oriented coach and had to change some of that philosophy when wolke came along. every time i hear a team were playing talk about the key is stoping wolke i realize they are overlooking our running game. blackman is young with better days ahead, but i think you guys way underestimate not having rico he won a lot of games for you.

Smyrna will absolutely spank Blackman this year. Smyrna finally has speed at virtually every position and Blackman is one deminsional they can not throw. NO RICO TO SAVE BLACKMAN THIS YEAR! I am just now composed enough to post! That fumble was not on the one it was 3 inches away! Just think 3 inches kept me from sleeping all night friday. What a great game, even though we lost I think this game will make us stronger for the region race that is about to begin. LINK is for real! He won the game virtually by himself. While I know football is a team sport I don't believe Gallatin would even be close without him. how fast is he? Smyrna is a good tackling team and he made us look foolish. Both teams were hard nosed and being close to the field it was hard hitting on virtually every play I know we got banged up pretty good. Anybody who doesn't think Wolke is division one after the throws he made in the 4th quarter didn't see the game. he was throwing ropes into 7 man coverages. He did throw a stupid interception but he was trying to throw it away when he got hit. What do you Gallatin folks think of smyrnas chances for the rest of the season? I never would have made it through high school without Football. I have been very fortunate in my life and graduated from college. I hate to admit it but when I was in high school the only reason I stayed and did well was to be eligible for football and to please my coaches. I bet there are thousands of others who feel the same way over the years. It has been years since I played but to this day when I approach a high school game and smell the cut grass,the burgers cooking and hear the band my heart rate goes up just like it did then!

7:30 start time The field looks great! It has been cultivated and mowed all summer to keep it low and provide a fast track, it is in excellent condition but as low as I have ever seen it!

I new the Orona kid was athletic but he has a knack for making people miss. I know everybody thinks Smyrna wants to pass but the truth be told they are really a much better power running team than they have shown(for some reason they panicked and abandoned it early against Riverdale) I know last year is just that, but Smyrna shut down Gallatin for all but 2 busted plays so Hopefully the defense will continue to play well. I hear from everyone the Link kid is really good so I look forward to seeing him Friday. This is a great game for both teams because you get great competition but since it is non region it doesn't kill your play off chances if you lose. Still convinced SMYRNA 28 GALLATIN21 Reasons I believe this Smyrna has a good run defense(h,ville and riverdal no points second half and only given 2 real touchdown drives this season) Smyrna will break one on special teams Smyrna run game will finally show it true potential (if this doesn't happen we lose) ( by the way just1np good post about the stands when you bring as many as Gallatin they all look small

Now tell me the truth just1np are you really going to take credit for the yards you rolled up against Glencliff? I have great respect for Gallatin and I know they are good but Glencliif is AFWUL. Smyrna scimmaged them and scored on 7 or 8 posessions in a row! and if you have as much football knowledge as you appear to have I believe you would even admit that Glencliff is not a very good measuring stick. I love it that everybody in Gallatin is talking about David Wolke when they should be worried about Marsalous Johnson he is the real deal. Once again it will be a good game but Smyrna wins 28-21

This should be a great game. Smyrna once again went to Riverdale and turned the ball over early and got behind.This time they did not fold like they have the last 2 years and actually played Riverdale even the last half. Riverdale is definetly not as good as past teams but they are still a very solid well coached team and no matter what they find a way to win because they expect to win. Smyrnas offense has not come close to hitting stride yet but I can tell you when they do they can beat anybody! I believe it will come together at home Friday. I know Gallatin will have a very talented well coached team and I believe both teams will know after Friday where they stand. Smyrna likes to play tough non region games and this will help get them ready for the region games later (along with Brentwood) My early prediction Smyrna 28 Gallatin 21

I keep reading Smyrna go spanked by LC in the spring? I was there and going ones on ones it was 2 to 1 LC? Besides both coaches were looking at players that may help later and neither really cared about who "won" a scrimmage!
