With 6'10" Mitch Groothius and sharp shooter Nathan Long, long over looked, can Hixson really win?

Hixson was definitely a defensive team last year. They didn't have but one real threat. This year however, i have heard that a couple guys other than smalley have stepped up and they could be really good if they play as a team. Yeah those 16 losses weren't impressive to me, but they did seem to have a rigorous schedule. Losing to mcminn isn't disgraceful, but 23 pts. means they just choked.

True CSAS will have six returning seniors,and their coach does praise them as the best backcourt in the city, but I have heard that Hixson will have seven seniors, having only lost one or two players and like their football team, Hixson is always fast. With sharp shooters outside, and two points that supposively can get past anybody, how will they compare?

Whose the Best in Region 3AA? Will McMinn Central tower over all or can District 6AA show speed enough to win it all? And who will Howard have, obviously they always manage to come up with some one, but will it enough to continue their dominance over CSAS and Hixson?[/b]

Will Pickett County take home the State Championship, or can some one else, say Chatt Christian, make it back in time for the Dance?

Who will win the Girls Class A state Championship? any picks? Don't overate Chatt Christian with a seniorless quad, but who can contend?

SDESISTER your wrong..Hixson was awarded with the victory..And I also think everyones losing sight that NEITHER team had ANYTHING to do with this..Grundy and Hixsons teams are getting a bad reputation for this when both teams played a hard fought ,clean game...Hixson had the lead by double digits with the ball when grundy threw things on the court so Hixson was awarded the win..Lets just drop it because grundys seasons over and Hixsons still playing

i still don't know anything that great about carroll.

it would have to be soddy or hixson. hixson has locker rooms and probably the best field in the area. soddy has good facilities too.

i don't know about carrol but fabry is another pretty good junior.

i think that everyone on this thread will be big assets to there teams this year. they are all really good pitchers, and i'm almost positive that wilkes has the grades

Dane Bolton from hixson throws in the high eighty's, as well as toby woodlee from grundy. Brett smalley from hixson also throws near the mid eighty's and has some nasty stuff. then you have wilkes from central and davis from mcminn.these are some of the best, and of course ryan moore is always included.

smalley is a great pitcher, and turner from WV is one of the best underclassmen around. these are my top 2, but the rest look good too.

yeah i agree. the smalley kid throws pretty hard and has some nasty stuff. hes the best junior pitcher in my mind. moore is the best when he controls it along with bolton. they just have to control it. woodlee is a rubber arm he throws a ton.

grundy lost and they're terrible sports.if you know the story then let's see what you have to say about it.
