With 6'10" Mitch Groothius and sharp shooter Nathan Long, long over looked, can Hixson really win?

Hixson was definitely a defensive team last year. They didn't have but one real threat. This year however, i have heard that a couple guys other than smalley have stepped up and they could be really good if they play as a team. Yeah those 16 losses weren't impressive to me, but they did seem to have a rigorous schedule. Losing to mcminn isn't disgraceful, but 23 pts. means they just choked.

True CSAS will have six returning seniors,and their coach does praise them as the best backcourt in the city, but I have heard that Hixson will have seven seniors, having only lost one or two players and like their football team, Hixson is always fast. With sharp shooters outside, and two points that supposively can get past anybody, how will they compare?

Whose the Best in Region 3AA? Will McMinn Central tower over all or can District 6AA show speed enough to win it all? And who will Howard have, obviously they always manage to come up with some one, but will it enough to continue their dominance over CSAS and Hixson?[/b]

Will Pickett County take home the State Championship, or can some one else, say Chatt Christian, make it back in time for the Dance?

Who will win the Girls Class A state Championship? any picks? Don't overate Chatt Christian with a seniorless quad, but who can contend?

SDESISTER your wrong..Hixson was awarded with the victory..And I also think everyones losing sight that NEITHER team had ANYTHING to do with this..Grundy and Hixsons teams are getting a bad reputation for this when both teams played a hard fought ,clean game...Hixson had the lead by double digits with the ball when grundy threw things on the court so Hixson was awarded the win..Lets just drop it because grundys seasons over and Hixsons still playing

i still don't know anything that great about carroll.

it would have to be soddy or hixson. hixson has locker rooms and probably the best field in the area. soddy has good facilities too.

i don't know about carrol but fabry is another pretty good junior.

i think that everyone on this thread will be big assets to there teams this year. they are all really good pitchers, and i'm almost positive that wilkes has the grades

Dane Bolton from hixson throws in the high eighty's, as well as toby woodlee from grundy. Brett smalley from hixson also throws near the mid eighty's and has some nasty stuff. then you have wilkes from central and davis from mcminn.these are some of the best, and of course ryan moore is always included.

smalley is a great pitcher, and turner from WV is one of the best underclassmen around. these are my top 2, but the rest look good too.

yeah i agree. the smalley kid throws pretty hard and has some nasty stuff. hes the best junior pitcher in my mind. moore is the best when he controls it along with bolton. they just have to control it. woodlee is a rubber arm he throws a ton.

grundy lost and they're terrible sports.if you know the story then let's see what you have to say about it.

no buddy, it wasn't used or said to anyone it was said about them, muttered and yes there have been many bigots in grundy. josh broke ankles and brett smalley shot in eyes thats how it went with allen green dunking it down low

first of all, del needs to get a life. he wasnt at the game...he doesn't know at all what happened...i don't know why he is on here talking about how he's gonna do this and going to do that. the point is...grundy is mad because the game ended with a forfeit instead of losing by double digits anyway. they knew perfectly well if something else was thrown on the floor, the game would be called. that is soully the grundy parents/fans fault the game was called. this anger continued into the parking lot where an older man from grundy got in a tall Hixson students face. the Hixson students retaliated on the "agressive man" and it went south from there. oh and by theway somebody got their ankles broke by Josh Green over and over throughout the whole game he needs to be reported to Memorial hospital to get his ankles x-rayed. Not Del (who wishes he were there and not the movies)

Like Russ098 said almost all the post against Hixson are totally untrue. to call anything racial is beside the point when there were several "N" words used by grundy players while on the floor(towards both refs and Hixson players) i was on the court so none of you can deny this.Hixson fans were obnooxious as were grundy's parents. for adults, they were the worst sports in the building. i guess thats where those players learned their wonderful manners. there was a lot of words after the game but the only scene with the knife was when a grundy father threatened a black fan, but never showed the knife. this shows that if there was any racism it was obviously from grundy by remarks by players and fans. it was all a big mistake but don't threaten other schools when you don't have the galls to go watch your team lose, therefore you know nothing that 100% true

i say it's a repeat of last time. Hixson will prevail again

Howard won't make the state tourney, much less win state. they're good but they lost to Grundy Co., and aren't anything if henderson doesn't score. sorry but not this year.

looks like csas will win the regular season title, but in the tourney there's no telling. Hixson can beat anyone at any time and then you have ER and Howard who's on a roll.plus those county teams aren't bad. tyner is really good too. i think it'll be ER, CSAS, or Hixson who takes the title into region.

well i guess us Red Bank kids are always interested in what stupid stuff you trojans will try to say
