She was averaging 1.5 points per game with 6 points on the year. Really stepped up and showed what she was capable of tonight.

Won today over James Madison Va in overtime. Were down by 12 with 2 minutes to go and came back to send it to overtime. Won by two in overtime, I think on a Bowman 3. Marissa Hensley led the Lady Blue Devils in scoring with 24 (14 in 4th quarter). Will play a team from Deleware for third place monday morning. [Edited by bob77 on 12-29-02 12:03A]

Jackson County had two starters out in that scrimage. Not to make excuses, but they don't have the strongest bench in the state.

Other than Upperman, Jackson County has not lost to a AA Tennessee team since 1999. Sounds pretty convincing to me.

Hensley has also played with Miss Basketball for the past two years, she is scoring about 8 more points a game this year, because she is the main offensive threat. She has shown this year what she is really capable of, scoring 20 ppg. [Edited by bob77 on 12-19-02 11:55A]

One of the best games I have seen in a long time. Reed and Hensley both had great games, as they battled each other inside. (Two of the best Juniors in the state) Big win for Jackson County, Cookeville is tough. Jackson County is on their way to another great year.

Jackson County killed them on the boards. Marissa Hensley and Laura Hall put on a show late. Hensley put in 35 points and 18 boards. Two of the best Junoirs in the state showing what they can do. [Edited by bob77 on 12-1-02 8:39A]

Marissa Hensley (#40) for Jackson County had a real good game on the inside aginst Clarkrange. I think that she had 27 points (11 in the first 5 minutes of the game) in the loosing cause. I have to hand it to Clarkrange though. #00 is for real, and they probably made 15 3 pointers. Great game and good luck to both teams the rest of the way.

What players is the NIKE team going to consist of this year?

What does everone think of Jackson County's chances this year? Who are there top players and what do you expect from them? Please give me you opinions.
