  1. Old SC7, Maybe, just maybe MC can FLUKE another out on Friday night if they are lucky again.
  2. I tell ya what, Dallas smoked T.C. on about a 90 yarder, and then he smoked Pearl Cohn on 75 yarder. I seriouly doubt that SC has seen anyone that fast this year. And yes I know that he has to have a line to block for him before he can turn the burners on. Not only do I know that, but Mr. Dallas himself knows that.
  3. I went through this when I was playing, twice. Once in high school and once at college. Everyone at PC is in my thoughts and prays. All of the guys there are real class acts and I know they will pull through this. Football like life always ends. "Tony Woosley"
  4. Ethan52, How much football do you know? I don't remember M.C. ever running the Wing T in high school. M.C. didn't try to run the Wing T last year. If you knew anything about football you would know that it was a Wishbone or a Brokenbone, not a Wing T. So get your facts straight.
  5. First, it was a rough off-season and alot of great men and coaches were lost. I understand the situations they were put in and why they left, and it hurt to watch them go. However, any of them will tell that life goes on, so stop beating a dead horse. The past is just that, and there is nothing that can be done about it. So stop beating a dead horse, focus on the future and support Coach Cook and his boys. Second, if T.C. thinks they will beat M.C by 5 touchdowns they must be smoking more crack than I thought. I guarntee it will be a close game on the Creek Bank tonight.
  6. Smith Co. is going to wax your butts dudes Fanmouth, do you really enjoy waxing butts!!!?? If you do, you may have some problems. Cause up here we don't do think like that. We just go out and kick butt!! thumb

    Macon@LA?

Okay now, I know that MCHS has a lot of youngsters starting, or gettting in a lot of reps. But why are so many people counting us out. Just because the team is young doesn't mean that they can't get the job done. This is football, and the last time I looked it was not played on paper or decided by the number of returners you have. Granted I know that experience counts for a lot, but I also know that it is not the size of the dog in the fight, it is the size of the fight in the dog. I hope that LA comes to game looking for a cake walk, if they do they will have a long night. Knowing LA and Coach E they will be ready to play, but so will the Tigers. I think that this game will be a lot closer than most people on here are predicting.
  8. PPride do you really think that it will get ugly? I believe that this game will be a close match no matter who the winner is.
  9. Fatcat, Thanks for the post. There is a lot of truth in it. We do have a lot of young men starting and playing a lot of downs for us. They are tough, and they play hard, but they still need experience. If we hadn't shot ourselves in the foot so many times the other night we would be 1-0 instead of 0-1. But is a frog had wings it wouldn't ...... If the boys work hard this week, and go out and excute Friday night there is no reason they can't beat Portland. I see another close game at the Jungle come Friday. thumb
  10. Yeah, it would be nice to have a stadium. However, that will never happen until the powers that be are changed. It seems that we continue putting band-aids on everything instead of fixing them up right, but what the heck do I know.
  11. MC has and will continue to play as a team all year. As for what happened the other night. It was not the right thing to do. However, I think that everyone must understand that AP is a player, as well as the other young man. On the field things sometimes get hot and stuff that shouldn't happen does. The bottom line is that is was a simple moment of rage nothing more. Coach went out and settled the matter. It appeared to me that they were fine right after it happened. I don't think that AP really meant anything by it. He just was caught up in the moment. It was wrong, but it happened. If it wasn't for team unity I don't think that the team would have been able to drive down the field the way they did in the end to win the game.
  12. PPride, Your right week 2 has been A LONG TIME AGO, and our D wasn't at the top of its game then. You know that week 2 against yall and last week are the only 2 times this year that our D has given up double digits. I hope that the trend will not continue this week. Portland's D did shut us down pretty good, but our O has imporved since then. I still that MC's D is a little stronger than SC's, but we will find out for sure Friday night.

    Lifting

Maam, I don't know how many coaches want their player, who play other sports, to lift. But I can tell you from my experience playing that, there are many, many, many games won in the weight room. In my opinion it would be to your son's advantage to hit the weight room and hit it hard!!!
  14. Man, there are a lot of people who are awful worried about were they are going to set when they get to ballgame. I tell you what, I think if you ain't there by at least 5:30 you had better worry about where you will stand, or which light pole your gonna climb up. There is little to no doubt in my mind that there will be more people there than there will be places for them to set.
  15. I just found this page again. I wasn't trying to sound like a broken records, but I was having computer problems, and it said that it had not been posted. Anyway, I hope that you are wrong imallin. Either way I think that these two teams have proved the old saying that "Offenese wins Games, but Defense wins Championships"!!
  16. MC is giving up 11 ppg in the playoffs so far. I hope that they keep this up in Round 3. I feel that if the D can hold Smith to 11 points that the O will find someway to score 12.

  19. Just kinda bringing this back to front. How are the D's doing in the playoffs?
  20. I do not live in the Chatt. area. I don't know much about the coaches in that area. I did play for Coach Jones, and I will tell you that he is a great coach. He knows the fundmentals of the game, and more importantly he knows how to guide young lives down the correct path, so that they might make the correct decisions in life. And when you look at a great coach, please tell me that you do look at more than the win lose record RIGHT???!!!
  21. Greenacrers81, From this post it is obvious that the only thing you have knowlege of it the Weather Channel, because it is the only thing you got right. It's not hard to tell that you have never witnessed a football game at MC, and that you have no idea what you are talking about. I don't care who or where we are playing, it always seems that the refs call again us. Now don't get me wrong we do catch our breaks from the refs every now and again, but I assure that they will be no homecooking done by them on Friday night unless something changes. If you go back and look and how things usually go, we get more breaks from the refs on the road than we do at home. We had one game at home this year where the refs BLEW a call that gave the other team the ball on our 8 yard line. If you don't believe me ask the folks from Smith Co. Heck last week we a backjudge who thought the offense had 10 second to get the play off from the time the ball way set, by the linejudge. He was pitifull. The way I see it regardless of the outcome the ref won't be cooking for us.
  22. The Tiger D also held Howard to 6 points. I know they scored 12, but 6 of them was on a 70 something yards fumble return. I just how that our boys can keep those same low numbers in the points scored against column. If they do it will continue to be a heck of a year in MC.
  23. Livingston had a pretty good D, but it was not the best in the region. If MC had left our starters in the all of the ballgame, then we would have had 2 more shoutouts. Then that points per game would have been lower than the already low 7.7. Yes, Livingston did get the shaft in the playoffs. However, they are not the best defensive team in the region or the best team in the region. The number 1 spot in both of those colunms goes to the Macon County Tigers. And by the way in anybody has seen our linebackers then they have seen SMASH MOUTH linebackers.
  24. Had to dig this up on page eight. I guess that everybody forgot about it. #65 had another great night Friday. If I'm not mistaken he had 22 tackles. That should give him around 124 on the regular season.
  25. I know Coach Offutt well. I played for him, and I will tell you the man stands for morals. He will not put up with attutide, or problems. He will set them straight or cut them lose. He will teach his team football, but more importantly he will teach them life.
