I really am glad that CC is having success even though I did not go to school there. But you people are killing me talking about the wingt. Do just a little bit of studying before you talk about the wing t. Lets just look at the previous years of 2A teams that played for the championship that ran wingt. Goodpasture, David Lip., Huntingdon, Alcoa, Union City..... Granted all these teams would have won a lot of football games with other offenses but the Wing T is a system and it is only limited by the coaches imagination. You can play smashmouty with the wingt or a 4 rec. set or play misdirection. I really think you need to understand the wingt before you act like an expert...Just my opinion. Good luck CC

I am a region 5-2A person but jacket pride does not reflect the attitude of our region. Region 5-2A always know that region 6-2A has probably more skilled atheletes than our region. JacketPride I know Fairview has had 2 good years but 2 years does not make tradition, it might start tradition. Region 5 has faired well against region 6 the last 2 years but region 5 still has not had a team in the semi for a long time and that is something we must correct ourselves. We should get on here and whine about who has the best region because history will tell you that the last 2 years region 6 had a representative in the Semis. Don't get me wrong I support your team jacket pride but not your cockyness toward other teams. I will always support region 5 teams but let your team do the talking on the field.

LC Panthers 95, Lipscomb will not use an excuse. Why should they have to. Both teams looked good in areas and both needed improvement in areas. LC Panthers 95 you quit, what is your excuse, all you do is talk about the panthers, what gives you that right. Some people get on hear and talk but they at least sacrificed and played ball for 4 years. All you do is spend time on the internet talking about the panthers. If it meant that much to you why did you quit. Let the team do the talking on the field. I thank you have said enough!

I think in the west it will be Milan, Huntingdon, possibly McKenzie. In the east it will be the usual Goodpasture, DL, Tyner.

Lewis County does a fundamental camp for kids. The kids range from 8-14. It covers lineman, backs, rec. and discusses the fundamentals of form tackling. A short portion on running form is also covered. Had over 50 attend last year. This camp runs from 8-12 for 3 days.

I know Lewis County's staff is leaving this afternoon.

I think one of the top defenses in 2A has to David Lipscomb. Look at a few teams that they held in check...Goodpasture, Marshall Co, Springfield.. Coach Mac and his staff do a good job.

He ran about a 4.4-4.45. Which is still very fast. From the coaches I talked to. I think the camps he went to were in Georgia.

I would say that Buggs from Goodpasture would be my pick. If had the carries Cothran had or played against the competition Fairview did he would have over 2000 yard already. Cothran is a good back but he is not in the same league Buggs is in.

You can count on Coach Mac and staff to get his team ready week in and week out. I look for them to win the rest in regular season and make a strong run in the playoffs.

The Jackson Sun does a good job.

You are right about the score being 61-0, and that was several points lower than Ezell score last year against Loretto. One thing you didn't seem to mention is that the starters were pulled at halftime and the b-team and freshman played the whole 2 half, I do not remember Sharp's starters playing to set a national record after halftime like another team I know. I thougt being from Ezell you would be the one to drop the subject. Don't fault Coach Sharp for winning the award I am quite sure he did not nominate himself. He has a lot of class.

Antwan, I always believe a team gets its personality from their coaches. It might be true in this case.

It bothers me when someone talks about Coach Mac. I know a lot of coaches throughout the state and he is a coach that I would want my son to play for. He is a man of great integrity and charachter. Coach Martin is a good coach also, but don't question the heart of Coach Mac.

People need to understand this was just a jamboree. I have seen GP scrimmage first hand and they are good. Like someone else pointed out the didn't score much on Nash. Christ. last year eighter, probably because the took their starters out quick. Goodpasture is still the team to beat.

Should be a great game. What is Parsons running on offense this year? I anticipate it being a run team versus a pass team. Who do you think will win?
