This kind of stuff happens all the time for both people playing a match..... its not a big deal no ones perfect and it usually evens itself out...... you can't blame a loss on that......

Fans like yourself are one of the main reasons that I have so much respect for the Oak Ridge program....

Dude, you completely missed the point of the last few posts..... they were saying that it was classless to be bragging about jumping up and down on DB;s midfield logo, and now you've made it worse by talking about changing around their victory chant....... Oak Ridge as a program has a lot more class than to brag about stuff like that..... so since youve found it necessary to represnt them on this board you probably ought to start acting with the same amount of class.......

The ESPN anaysists were saying they thought he was better than a couple of the db's that went in the 2nd round... one big thing is they say since he played at a DII school so long he was able to get by on skill alone instead of fundamentals... but if they work with him I feel hes gonna become a great player for them, if not a conributer on defense, than atleast a big special teams player......

He was one of the fastest at the combine and he had the best vertical leap height at the combine also....... However I think he should have gotten drafted earlier than he did.....

Nah that 99 yard touchdown was pretty awesome last year....

Either way they do the qb situation they are gonna have a great wr in the other one.....

The fans didnt leave they had all crowded into the hallway and out the back door to make a huge human tunnel for the team to walk through so they could all pat us on the back and tell us how great of a season it was... Coming up that stairwell leading to the hallway all you heard was applause and it was probably one of the best things ive ever experienced........Thats what makes DB football so great

Sophmore Derek Trent from Dobyns-Bennett has 11 at this point....

Dobyns-Bennett vs. Oak Ridge regular season game in 2003... It was the first time these two had faced each other in the regular season in a couple of years so the rivalry was huge.... OR went up by 21-0 early on, DB finally scored when the TE did a flip over an OR defender into the endzone, second half DB scored again, then OR answered with a touchdown to make it 28-14, Duran Ferguson passed it to Darrel Hayes who beat 3 defenders to the endzone. DB scored 2 more times, and then OR marched down to DB territory, Hayes made a great open-field tackle on corey booker (which, as anyone that played against him knows, is not easy to do) then the OR pass fell incomplete in the back of the endzone as time expired and DB fans rushed the field.......... the best rivalry game id ever seen

Have you seen this sophmore play? I don't know that it was 450 but it landed across the street in right field at J. Fred... that thing was hit so hard... if you've seen him play you wouldn't doubt him.... and also his 5 game home-run streak tied him for 10th in the nation with the longest all-time such streak..... He is also 5 away from breaking the school single-season record...

im not sure where duran is going to play.... but im pretty sure hes gonna play baseball and durans #16

A sophmore Derek Trent for Dobyns-Bennett hit one last night that was said to be around 420 but i talked to some people who said theyre pretty sure it was around 450.....

Duran Ferguson from Dobyns-Bennett fanned 15 one game this season...

That was a tough loss against Overton. From what I've heard, it sounds like their pitching was no joke, and so was DB's, except for one inning. And one bad inning's all it takes to cost you a game........ Hopefully they'll finish out the tournamnet with a win today, and go back to kingsport on a winning streak....

The DB bats are swinging right now, 5 homers on thursday and won 11-1. If they keep this up, I don't think many people can play with them....

Yes, Waco we're giving a sophmore props because he earned it..... we never said they weren't good, we just dont like talking about how much better the team is gonna be when they're seniors...... because thats not cool to talk about when there are two other senior classes ahead of them.

This kid is good, if he gets ahold of a pitch and hits it in the air, its usually going to go out...... he also got on base all 6 times he was up yesterday in their 2 games...

Waco you know as well as I do that Dobyns-Bennett fans never expect anything other than a state championship, its just not how we do things...... I agree that it might put extra unneeded pressure on the team, but honestly, do you think that any db fan would ever admit that they were not going to win state that year? Their thinking is "I mean come on were DOBYNS-BENNETT!!!!!!!!!, why shouldnt we win state?"......... This is also probably why there are so many db haters, but thats just part of db athletics, always has been, and always will be..........

Good win tonight against South, maybe they will start to get on track and there will be many more where this one came from............. Cougarhater your just jealous man, because you know this team is a lot better than your team........
