  1. Can anyone tell me something about Region 5-2A? I'm getting playoff fever now and I want to start figuring who's coming to town and where some of the 6-2A teams will be traveling?
  2. Loretto @ Richland (Loretto by 14) Adamsville @ Camden (Camden) Houston Co. @ Stewart Co. (Houston Co. by 6) Lewis Co. @ Waverly (Lewis Co. by 14) Riverside @ Perry Co. (Riverside) The hardest one to pick is Houston Co. @ Stewart Co. I picked Houston because their seniors have never lost to Stewart. Congrats to the Riverside Panthers for making the playoffs. Who will be the other representative besides Camden, Lewis Co. and Riverside? Will it be Waverly or Loretto?
  3. This round one game will have some serious ripples on 7-AA and the playoff picture that is beginning to form. Toss up a coin: heads it's Milan, tails it's Huntingdon - and then they'll meet again in November for round two. Good football!
  4. Riverside by 14, Please donate for their new stadium while you are down there. Those boys deserve a better place to play ball.
  5. I'm glad to see Henry Co. winning; looks like a step down in classes will help them more than I thought. Maybe some good rivalries will come about and they can stay 4A for a few years. That Nashville 5A business was not good for any of the parties involved.
  6. The best defense Camden went against in 04 was Riverside. The Panthers have kept their same defensive troops somewhat intact and have improved tremendously on offense. Book this: Riverside will be in the playoffs, along with Loretto, Lewis Co., and Camden. I thought Richland was much better than Loretto until I saw them play at Camden. Loretto is in the mix in November.
  7. This game was huge, and will prove so in week nine or ten for the 4th place position and a playoff birth.
  8. Dickson Co. by 12..............again.
  9. I always thought M69 was a coach until he started posting about cheerleading items. He is a cotton picker for sho. From a neutral point of view, the Rebs have better fans than Huntingdon. The average Huntingdon fan is 75.2 years old.
  10. I'm for Lewis Co. but I think they will lose to Wayne again this year. I want Lewis to be 9-1 when they play Camden.
  11. I'll pick the Lions in an upset: 26-20. If you have to play Huntingdon (and we don't have to play them in the regular season), it's best to play them early. I'm glad everybody is picking them; and they should. I think our boys have as good a chance at Huntingdon as anybody HHS plays, except perhaps Milan, who usually spanks Huntingdon. The bottom line is: we like being the dawgs and we "ain't scared." P.S. I'm picking Westview over Huntingdon too. And if they get that far, which they probably won't, I'll pick Alcoa over Huntingdon just like I did last year.
  12. Hickman Co. by 20. The dam will hold for awhile, but when it breaks Swenson will do his best to run it up.
  13. Does anybody have any info on the Camden-McKenzie JV game tonight?
  14. Oh! HC is such a powerhouse! I guess they'll win another championship this year. Where are they? Puryear, Henry, or Springville?

    Union City

I've seen Union City scrimmage and they have everything it takes to win a single A crown. How come they are not even in the top 25 fan poll? Did you forget they moved down from AA this year? Somebody's going to be surprised when they end up, at the very least, in the top four in November.
  16. Camden loses 12-30 to a tough Westview squad. We might even lose another couple of games. I still say we'll have a home playoff game or two in Ctown this November. (This is a fan's point of view only.)
  17. Stewart Co. at Gleason should be a good game and win for the Tatertown Dawgs. The crowd should be decent too, because the Rebs know they have a fighting chance for a change. Dawgs 24, Rebs 12. Doesn't Stewco have a new coach....again?
  18. I'd like to see a Camden and Bruceton spring ending scrimmage alternated between the schools each year; bring out the bands, open up the concessions, and raise money for both schools. How would that be? For numerous reasons, I'm glad the Lions didn't go to the Huntingdon Jamboree this year, and I hope this trend continues.
  19. I think McKenzie has the best fans and they rock the house at home or away.
  20. Kevin Ward, Camden or Bobby Sharp, Lewis Co.
  21. Tickets at the gate. Expect a full house early.
  22. How did the Camden/Union City scrimmage go this afternoon? Does anyone have a run down?

    Waverly Tiger

Camden fan here: Waverly wasn't that bad last year, and they always usually play our boys tough regardless of their record. I'll say Waverly will go 6-4 or 5-5 and be well in the running for the fourth playoff slot. Let's not smack mouth them. Over the past 30 years they have beaten us when we should have won and vica versa.
  24. How did the three-way scrimmage go at Camden on Aug. 5th?
