  1. jabbo! That is so cool! You should have had a poem for each day. I love it! All I can add, pitiful as it is after that fine poetry is: GO FALCONS! BEAT THOSE WARRIORS!
  2. Good post, bone. I could tell that's from the heart. If that doesn't get to them, I don't know what will. The town is buzzing! If the guys are as ready as the fans, Riverdale had better watch out! Let's go Falcons! Beat those Warriors!
  3. I have a suggestion: If at all possible, get your tickets early. They are being sold at both Riverdale and Lincoln County High. Last week there was a LONG line of people buying tickets at the gate. I think some people even missed the kick-off because of this. So...if you know a student at either school, you might wanna get them to purchase your tickets there and save yourself a lot of time and trouble.

  5. Game starts at 7. Welcome to "The Pit" and have a safe trip!
  6. Now that's a cool offer! Thanks DBBandit!
  7. Good thread, falconfan94! We need to get every Falcon Fan stirred up and ready to roll on Friday night! All of you LC people need to wear red, white and blue, get ready to make some noise and show our guys that you're behind them 100%. We can be the 12th man out there on that field. Heck, we can be the 13th, 14th, 15th....man out there. The electricity that our guys feel from us could just possibly be a deciding factor in some plays, so come ready to help them out. I noticed last week that a couple of times, we were way too quiet. Let's don't let that happen again. Prepare to get up on our feet and YELL!!! When our guys are on the sidelines showing us that they want us to stand---LET'S DO IT!!! SHOW YOUR SPIRIT, FALCON FANS!!!! Our guys have worked hard for us, let's do it for them!!! GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!
  8. kccc, I noticed that you haven't made many posts, but you certainly started a good thread here. With 118 posts and 3,011 hits, it's obvious that this game has stirred up lots of interest. These are two good teams meeting in Fayetteville on Friday night. I hope that the numbers following this thread is indicative of the crowd that will be in "The Pit" at kickoff. GO FALCONS!!!!
  9. You go, O2001! You have been Falconized! We might just have to have another cake this week! Coach Louis Thompson has taken this bunch of boys and made them into some rough and tough football MEN! I vote for Lincoln County's own COACH T!
  10. Everyone will be glad you're coming. We are beginning to think you are like Sasquatch or the Loch Ness Monster. You're going to have to show up this week, or nobody is going to believe that you exist. We'll let you know what's going on when we find out what everyone can do. Until then, take care and keep up the good posts in favor of the Falcons!
  11. In another post on this thread I gave suggestions for restaurants. Even though some of these aren't south of Fayetteville, they are other options for you: Y'all come on to Fayetteville early, eat at one of our good restaurants or at our concession stand and see some super talent out there on the field. You can have a great veggie and meat buffet at The Barn; Trotter's at the Best Western has a nice food buffet; nicer fare at Cahoots or Cattlemans; super slawburgers (hamburgers with great slaw) at Honey's Restaurant on the square; BBQ at Reed's or Whitt's; or fast food at our many establishments. All of these places are easy to find--any local can tell you where all of these places are. Welcome to Fayetteville.
  12. Well, WELCOME HOME!! You're gonna LOVE it! Have a safe trip! GO BIG BLUE!!!
  13. Well that won't go over with my current stand in the Episcopal Church and it's present problems. I'll be voting pro military/marriage(the man and woman kind), and a few other things that the ACLU won't like. I'm no fan of the ACLU. But thanks for the thoughts. Del. You ARE a good man, Del! That calls for another b'day wish: HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN, DEL!!!!!
  14. Hey all you Falcon Fans who are just reading, how about getting on and making some posts? I know of some of you die-hard fans who aren't saying anything on here that could make some very good points. Right now I'm rewatching last week's game on channel 6. I'm feeling that excitement folks! Looking forward to Friday night in "The Pit"! GO BIG BLUE!!!!
  15. It's good to see all of these Lincoln County FALCONS on here. I see some new names. That's great! Of course, we think that the game to attend is the Lincoln County/Riverdale game to be played Fayetteville. GO LINCOLN COUNTY FALCONS!!!
  16. Ahhh....such a sweet, young thing! Hope you had a VERY HAPPY B'DAY! I think you gave yourself the present by starting this thread, Del. Now I'd say that's pretty smart! Looks like you're having a Birthday WEEK instead of just a Birthday. Now isn't that fun? My gift to you: another addition to your thread and bringing it back to the top. Hey gang, let's see how long we can keep this running for Del. We just might can give him a Birthday MONTH! HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK, DEL!!!!
  17. O2001, if you fed our crew, you'd be washing dishes at the restaurant all night and miss the meal. That's ok, we don't hold grudges. We had the party without you, although we did hate not getting to meet you. You had a whole section anxiously awaiting your arrival. Don't know what eveyone's schedule will be, so check your email & we'll figure it out later in the week.
  18. Amazing...truly THIS time...Blessed are the peacemakers.
  19. Some of you guys that are much better at directions that I am should go ahead and give directions. We don't want everyone to think it's so hard to get to Fayetteville. It does seem hard to people that aren't familiar with it when coming the Ridge road. Y'all come on to Fayetteville early, eat at one of our good restaurants or at our concession stand and see some super talent out there on the field. You can have a great veggie and meat buffet at The Barn; nicer fare at Cahoots or Cattlemans; super slawburgers (hamburgers with great slaw) at Honey's Restaurant on the square; BBQ at Reed's or Whitt's; or fast food at our many establishments. All of these places are easy to find--any local can tell you where all of these places are. We'd love to have you come visit our town and enjoy a little Fayetteville hospitality.
  20. Check your email for a picture of the cake. See, we Falcon folks are pretty nice, don't you think?
  21. In this case, then, the Falcons should have the upper hand. Last Friday against Smyrna, we won the game with 16 seconds to go. Final score: 29-22! I'd say that's handling that pressure pretty well, wouldn't you? GO FALCONS!!!!!
  22. How horrible! Know that someone in Lincoln County is praying for this family and community.

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk.....We planned the party, invited the guests, brought the food, anticipated your arrival, but the guest of honor never arrived! You missed a good one! We waited and waited, but when you hadn't arrived by half-time, we went ahead and ate the cake without you. We even had your name written on it. Oh, well. We enjoyed it! I think that's the first time we'd ever had cake at a game. It was really fun to pass it out to everyone around us. At least you know that we all thought about you. Hope everything was ok and that you didn't miss the game. It was a barn-burner! Whew! Have a great week, Oakland2001! We still love you even if you didn't show for the party!
  24. Lincoln County/Riverdale without a doubt! This has been a great rivalry for years and this game proves to be one that has been anticipated since our first meeting this year. Lots of people say that it's hard to beat a team twice in the same year. Guess we'll just have to go to "The Pit" to see how this one plays out. Come on to Fayetteville and join us!
