  1. 5:33 to go in 1st half with Lincoln Co. 30, Cumberland County 7
  2. I'll have to agree. The Falcons' Coach T has taken these guys a long way and hopefully will take them ALL the way! As awesome as their numbers are now, they would be INCREDIBLE if Coach Thompson hadn't been such a gentleman and pulled out his starters so early in most of the games. Not only do the numbers tell a great tale about him, but so do his players' actions on and off the field. He not only teaches his players football, but teaches them how to act at all times by example as well as by what he expects of them. My vote: Coach Louis Thompson from Lincoln County.
  3. We haven't forgotten about you Ryan. You'll especially be on our minds Friday night. I know it's so hard for an athlete to not be on that field when the whistle blows. Even though I'm not from your part of the state, I can tell you without a doubt that you WILL be on that field. Your spirit will be inside all of your fellow teammates and fans. You will be a driving force through them to help win your game. Be proud, Ryan, and know that you are helping even though you aren't actually playing. God speed! How about an update, Aunt Sherry?
  4. Oh, ho...Good one, wheelz44! I agree. I think this is just a fun question, though. If we're going to get real, it's what's INSIDE those uniforms that counts. Now lets shake hands and go play some good football! Have a great Friday night!
  5. Thanks for the quick fix, inot2bad. Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers. Just making a point for us to enjoy the game. Since you've decided to let Coach Thompson do his job, both of our concerns are covered. Here's to a fun Friday night of following some great football. <clink> Go Falcons & whomever you're pulling for.
  6. Inot2bad, you make me tired! You're always talking about "lack of playing time". Give it a break. Coach Thompson has 2 State Championships under his belt. He knows what he's doing. If he plays his first string too long, he's accused of being a bad sport and running up the score. If he doesn't play them, you're afraid they won't remember how to play. Why don't we just enjoy watching whichever of the guys he decides to put on the field and let him do the coaching?
  7. Does anyone have an update on Mr. Henry today?
  8. Is this really bad sportsmanship? If the player is good enough to make these stats, should he not be allowed to do so? It could be that the other team is just so BAD, that he could have tiptoed in backwards and made those TD's. Somewhere along the way, the other team has to take responsibility for what happens instead of whining about it. Another way of looking at it is that if the other team is that bad, the fans deserve to see some good plays/players during the game. If you love the game, you love to see a good athlete. I can't help but be in awe when I watch a skilled athlete whether he's on my team or my opponent's.
  9. Here's Mr. Henry's address: Mr. Bob Henry SICU Erlanger Hospital 975 E. Third Street Chattanooga, TN 37403
  10. Thanks for the heads-up on the site. I enjoyed visiting it & will continue to check it out.
  11. I tried to get to the website, td. It comes back as "This page cannot be displayed". I think you need to refine the address. Maybe you have a typo there. Help us out, please. I'd like to check out your website.
  12. Prayers are being prayed for you here in Lincoln County, Tony. Have a speedy recovery! I'm so glad that things aren't as bad as first thought. God can do great things and it looks as if He already has in your case.
  13. I have copied Falconstatman's recap from the thread entitled, "Lincoln County 70, Warren County 7, Details from the game" and pasted it below so everyone can get the scoop. Here's the game according to Falconstatman: "First of all, although it looks like it, L.C. didn't intentionally run up the score tonight in the game, the starting offense was pulled one play into the 2nd qt. after Michael Edmiston scored from 50 yards on a 1 play drive making the score 42-0. The starting offense then came out and didn't return to the game. The score at halftime was 56-0. After the 1st. Qt. L.C. didn't put anyone back to recieve punts from W.C., and just let the ball bounce, and for the majority of the second half the clock ran continously, not stopping. The remainder of the scoring was done by reserves, and the defense. One on a 55 yard fumble return for a td. by Adam Stubblefield, a 19 yard run by back-up running back Will Lankford, an 88 yard kickoff return by Arrington Bryson, after W.C. scored their td. on mostly reserves in on defense for the falcons, and a 38 yd int. return for a td. by Joey Miller, back-up db., his second td. of the night, the other one, on a punt return in the 1st. Qt. Michael Edmiston rushed for 123 yards on only 4 carries, pulling him to within 30 yards of 1000 for the year. He also scored 3 tds. He did not attempt a pass in the game. Josh Gregory had 91 yards on only 6 carries, going over 1000 yards on the year, and scoring 2 tds. in the process setting a single season record at L.C. for tds.and points scored in a season. W.C. had 74 yards total offense, 44 rushing on 37 carries and through the air, 2 of 12 for 30 yards with 2 ints. I'm sure the starters will get much more action next week against Cumberland co. in the last regular season game at home."
  14. Thinking about the Henry family tonight. I know you are on the minds of the guys tonight playing the game. We all love all of you!
  15. Happy Birthday, Ryan!
  16. [ Yes. The thread is entitled "Mr. Bob Henry" and is posted right above this one right now. I encourage everyone to tell all your buddies about it and ask them to post a message to Mr. Henry. He's been behind our teams for years. Let's show him how much we appreciate him and his family. Most of all, let's remember to keep him and the family in our prayers.
  17. I just heard that they are eliminating the drug-induced paralysis and that Mr. Henry is develping pneumonia but that does not seem to be a big problem according to the doctors. His brain is not swelling any more and they are going to wait and hope the big clot dissolves itself. Also they are going to do a trach to be able to take away some of the breathing apparatus.
  18. I haven't had a first-hand update, so I hate to give any particulars. As I understand it, though, he isn't doing very well. This is very serious. Please put Mr. Henry on all of your prayers lists, because he certainly needs all of the prayers that he can get right now.
  19. I think Mr. Henry would feel honored to know how many people are thinking about and praying for him. Everywhere I go, people are expressing their concern and asking about recent news from him. Lincoln County is certainly hurting for the Henry family at this time. Please continue to pray for his complete recovery.
  20. I have checked this thread regularly to find out any changes in Ryan's condition. This is not the one that I expected or wanted to see, but I thank you, Aunt Sherry, for giving us the update. If we don't know what's happening, we don't know what to pray for. I have just finished a prayer and will continue doing so. Let us know when you get another report. Pass along to the family that there are many people rooting for Ryan's quick recovery.
  21. So true, LCstatman. This family has been through too much lately. The whole family needs prayers for strength as well as prayers for Mr. Henry's healing. Has anyone heard from Mr. Bob today? Please pass on updates when you hear them.
  22. Thanks for the update, Aunt Sherry. Please keep us posted. I think that these football fans have proven that they have very big hearts and believe in the power of prayer to help us through our trials. We are pulling for Ryan's complete recovery.
  23. I just want everyone who reads this thread to know what a caring and giving man Mr. Henry is. For over thirty years Mr. and Mrs. Henry have poured their hearts and souls into helping the Falcons. They have followed the teams all over TN, headed committees, hosted parties for the players and supported us in any way that they thought might be of any help. I cannot begin to tell of all of the wonderful things that they as a couple have done to give help and encouragement to the teams as a whole as well as individuals. It would be hard to count the number of lives that they both have touched with their unselfish giving of time and talents. Mr. Henry has become a fixture at practices as well as at games. He is a super Falcon! This tragedy has touched many lives, also, and people all over Lincoln County are praying for and talking about this wonderful man and his family. May God bless them and give them strength for the days to come. Thank you to all who are praying and adding comments here. I know that this will be greatly appreciated by the Henry family.
