Your point is? I have not even posted on this thread. I have never claimed not to be a Jacket fan. I simply stated, in another thread Einstein, that alot of the people talking trash were not even from TC. I bleed purple and gold. I just outgrew all of this whining and crying in my younger years. I have been on both ends of the lop-sided beatings and I have held my head up after both of them. Crying and blame is for losers. Thanks for mentioning me though.

Trousdale by at least three touchdowns. I hope the little Gordonsville fan that was on here bashing Harper a couple of weeks ago is front and center for this one. I think he said Nelson was no good under pressure or in big games....that way he can chew on those words one more Friday night!

pujo, it seems you have a personal issue with Trousdale County. Don't give them any credit, keep saying they are not as good as teams in the past or your precious private schools. In the end, it does not matter what you think. Even more, it does not matter how they compare to anyone that is not in 1A THIS YEAR. You keep singling out the season that CPA beat Trousdale. What about the times Trousdale beat CPA? Base your opinions on more than one or two games. Good luck Jackets!

I got what he meant. In numerous posts, some Owl fans have referred to two teams that have beaten them as eventual state champions. It is like they are saying that these teams beat them and now they are going to be state champions, it justifies the beating. I think that was what tennisguy was implying. And...Tennisguy, you are the JR Ewing of coachT! You really love this don't you? I really hope your tigers can pull this one off because you have dug a hole a mile deep. After seeing both teams play this year, I feel like the Tigers are probably the better team. Anything can happen when you step on that field though, and this should be a good one either way.

If there is anything that I doubt that is on these boards this week, it is that the Smith County fans will be complaining about bad calls at home, win or lose. Just ask the Portland fans, they take care of that issue,,,,,LOL....just kidding Smith County. It just seemed ironic! Good luck tonight Owls, I can't wait!

That was a lovely 'sheep' post, but unfortunately the only team with players on this board is Fulton. So all I can say to the Fulton crew is "Please, believe the hype". There is no way Smith County can play with an All-American crew such as yours with relatives at UT and all that. BTW, I have a second cousin that is a senator, does that make me a politician? The same thing that I said in the Smith County and LA game can be applied this week. If the Smith County defense can do their job, this game is going to be decided by the coaching. Smith County has the advantage there. Before any of you Fulton fans jump, I have seen you play several games over the last 3 years. Not just one a year. You are eat up with talent, but the men at the healm may be the deciding factor in this game. I don't think you are going to show up in Carthage and find the cakewalk that you are expecting based on some fans posts. You are expecting the intimidation that was so apparent with the Macon crew last year and it is not going to be there. That was a totally new environment for them. I don't expect Smith County to be so shell-shocked. I expect this to be a close game and I hope to see Smith County put in the best four quarters of work that you have had all year. OK, I had no intention of getting back in on this post, but this comment gave me a good laugh. Do you want to talk about the hospitality issue or football? I go to a high school football game somewhere just about every Friday night. Have for the last 10 years. ONLY ONCE has my car been broken into. That would have been the welcoming committee when Trousdale made their last trip to Knoxville I suppose that handled that??? Amazingly enough I can't recall such a warm reception at any other game. Then there was this team that came to Trousdale County and actually started a fire in the bleachers one year. My mind must be slipping because it surely was not one of those CIVIL Knoxville teams. Shall we continue???? We can still go into that odd smell that surrounds, no CONSUMES, the visitor side bleachers...and eventually the field....during those home games in East TN. Not a recreational activity expert, but that was not the grill Birdman.....better stick with arguing football, you guys have a better chance on that issue. Good luck Owls!!

Smith County, great job Friday night. I am now convinced and I am not too proud to come on here and say it. You were the better team. I would have eaten my crow a little earlier, but my wife gave birth to our new baby Saturday (Early, early, early..no respect for a sleeping man) and somehow that made football seem really insignificant. I did want to take time to let you know that some of us in Trousdale County are rooting for you boys! Just go out there and play like you are capable of playing and let the chips fall where they may. The last time I checked no games were won or lost on this board. Stats against other opponents mean nothing, all that matters is THIS FRIDAY. Go out there and represent this region! I am going to assume that the only part of that post directed at me was the first part since I do not recall saying anything to you about last year unless you have two sign in names. Smith County just puts too much on Wilmore. He had a great year last year, that is a given. But go back and look at Smith County posts, that kid is some kind of a martyr there or something. It is like the team wins on his shoulders and loses on his shoulders. Very few, there are some, but very few fans give anyone else on that team the recognition they deserve. Look at all the big willy and free willy comments, whomever was responsible for letting him play most of that game in Hartsville after the injury could have done serious damage to him. It takes a team, and there are more than one or two names that are going to have an impact on this game. I am not saying that Wilmore won't have a good game, he may and good for him. But, give the rest of the team their due credit. Smith County has a good team right now. So does LA, I simply meant that there seem to be MORE big play makers for LA. It looked that way against us. As I said earlier good luck and may the best team win. I see LA by about 10.

I think LA will take this one, but it will not be easy. They just need their coaches to step up the coaching game. LA is a little more hard-nosed and I think they just got shell-shocked last time. The home field advantage is always a big asset at Smith County, but I just think LA may be the better team tonight. They have a more balanced attack than Smith County. Either way, I hope the team that will fare best next week wins. Four and a half more hours till kickoff, this is going to be a great one!
