The rain for sure was the major factor in that game. If it is a clear night, we win by 4 TD's. The turnovers were a direct reflection of the wet ball. Fortunately, we were better and able to over come them. You are right. Tate took control on offense and put it on his shoulders. What we can't do is let someone take the ball out of our hands and go 70+ yards for a TD. Wet conditions or not.
But on the west side, the last three years, the roads have all went through the same teams as this year. Us, UC, LC, and MASE. You trade SF Or Halls for Dresden from last year. I don’t know. Guess it’s just the cycle of 1A.
Been thinking about this. Why is 1A “weaker” this year? Because SP has two losses? MC, WC, and Cornersville aren’t being talked about like in the past and there are new teams in the mix? Oliver Springs, Gordonsville, Chatt Prep?
Saturday would be the only day I would think. But you are right, it will still be raining Saturday morning and fields will be soaked. Our issue here in McKenzie is the middle school has a home game on Thursday and we are at home on Friday. There may be a possibility of moving the middle school game to Bethel but it is going to be pouring Thursday night if this forecast holds.
The rain for sure was tough on the Rebels. Three turnovers and both lead to scores. Several dropped passes with a slick ball. In dry conditions, Rebels 4 tds better than Chester Co.
Gonna have to go with Waker on this one. Love RT, but I think 2022 was the best team to ever come through here. We had ever facet of the game covered. Offensively, defensively, special teams. Heck, we even had the best managers. Those teams we had to beat to even get to Chattanooga were unbelievable.
