I have said that as well. She had it in her mind Saturday that if she was open, she was going to shoot. Probably the best performance I have ever seen by a Rebel basketball player. She will go down as the best to have played at McKenzie HS to date.

My obvious pick. See profile pic. Baugus is fantastic. She is a machine. Honestly, you can't stop her. So, you have to contain everyone else. Also, fouls and the depth of McKenzie bench, or lack thereof is crucial. This one should be a battle. If the Rebels come out shooting the way they did today, they will be hard to stop. When Davis, Reynolds x 2, and Chesser are popping from the outside, it is hard to handle. Can't wait! THE REMATCH IS HERE! Everyone picked these two last year to be back and here we are.

I was watching at home in McKenzie on NFHS. I must admit, some of those fouls (on both sides) I was like, what did she do? We had a good crew the other day in our game vs Peabody I thought.

Yes. I was already sitting at media row setting up when it happened. I had a clear view of her. it didn't look good! I hope she is okay though.

I am not sure. It did appear she was in pain when they took her off the court.

Who you got? Van Buren for sure has the size advantage. McKenzie is going to have shoot the ball from behind the arc vs them. 1-13 from 3 land won't cut it in this game.

Well, we finally pulled away. We were 1-13 from 3pt, but scored 38 pts in the paint. 31 pts off of turnovers. I give Peabody much credit. They were relentless on defense and got us out of rhythm. Second, half, we flipped the switch and played.

What a game. Very impressed with Huntland. They started four juniors and one senior. They did a great job of getting transition points vs our press. They are going to make some noise again next year. McClennan is a player. She can drive, and make moves to the basket. Asyia Williams was tenacious on defense. Reigning Mrs. Basketball, Savanna Davis for McKenzie, was on fire. I don't have my stats sheet in front of me, but I believe she had 24 points. The three ball was there last night for McKenzie. Fantastic ballgame.
