That is what I call some powerhouse Defense. It sounds like someone needs to improve their D if they expect to go far into the playoffs.

If he did this that is rediculous and uncalled for, and should be let go, but dont jump to conclusions until we hear the whol story about the matter, I can understand that cumberland gapers was upset after getting drilled, and they may have made this up, but it might be true also, just dont go into it anymore until we know the facts. Remeber there is a mans job and family on the line here. There are 2 sides of the story.... Why was the player even close emough to be in the coaches face in the 1st place...

If Albert Harris was at the scrimmage then Dye would not of found his jock. Clinton is probably the best team in 3A, but as everyone knows 2A is still better in basketball around the Knoxville Area, If you dont agree just look at past teams going to state, and 2A blows 3A out of the water... On another note I would like to see Clintons program be as good as it was in all of the 90's, because that town needs something positive to talk about.....

Kingston Sudent section is a bunch of duds, they are terrible... but I will give them on e thing they are better then Scott Co... For one of the biggest schools in the district and region they have about 20 students there, it is bad.. Oliver Springs they are the real deal when they have a good team, but if they dont they are fair weather, so dont be surprised to see them much this year Lenoir City- Fans are terrible, a social event, but if they acted like they did in the Loudon games, then they might have the best. Anderson Co- depends on the social calender. But hands down the best fans I have seen, and of course I havent seen all it, South Doyle's- they cracked me up last year. they are original and entertaining and they are not fair weather.... Karns used to have a great student section, but we havent been back there in a couple of years, so I dont know how they are...

If this is your intelligence when it comes to basketball then maybe you need to goto the cheerleading web site... For Kingston Sitzler might be the best player in the district year, and yes that means even better then Chaniot. The problem is Givens wont be ready to do much damage this year, it will take him a long time to get used to high school ball, and he doesnt seem to be as fast as his brother, this will mean AC's backcourt will eat him up. The surprise player on that team will be Poole, this kid is real deal, and everyone has to worry about him for another 2 years. For Oliver Springs.....are you serious, the only games you all won last year was at your place, and 2 of the refs tha officiate there 50% of the time live in Oliver Springs...... You all lost all hope losing Ringley and Petterson, and you return one decent post player who cant shoot but can play Defense, and a Guard who thinks he is good, but is terrible...If you havent seen this guy you need to, a white boy in pathetic corn rows it is hilarious..... If you want a report on Loudon-- then here it goes, Coach Mitchell cut all seniors but 1, becasue he has obviously forgot this is high school and basketball is supposed to be for the kids. Even with a mediocre transfer from LC JOrdan Hardin, who by the way can not dribble with his left hand at all, they will not have a chace to win many games. Their post player #23 is a great athlete, but is not the sharpest Knife in the drawer, so he will help them sometimes. For Scott Co, they will be tough to play, especially at their place, After a log bus ride to Scott Co then it is tough to play ball. They also have a tought Guard tandom with Jordan Jefers and THe blonde hair kid that I can remember, And I think they return Lewallen who is a monster underneath whos biggest weakness is getting in foul trouble.. For Lenoir City- This is a new team. This team is playing a good ball, They have clear heads now that they have a new coach, the only problem is this coach doesnt have any discipline and knows nothing about basketball, but Their Assistant Coach does most of the Coaching anyway and he is a great coach... LC will have the Most balanced attack in the District. They are big and of course they can score from the outside. The big question will be how Kyle Lomabrdo can lead this team. Anderson Co- We all saw them last year, and they have about nothing new to offer except each player seemed to of gotten a little better, Not having a bunch of Football players really helps them b/c they were able to play alot together during the fall. Chaniot if he can play a little smarter this year will beat out Sitzler for District MVP, but dont forget about Jordan Jefers he can play also...

There is no need to discuss the Clinton Job because they are taking applications through november and will be interviewing after that, a couple of their top choices are still in the playoffs and they will not act until they see what those guys decide to do....

I agree the Logan kid from SOuth Doyle is the real deal, we had terrible time coantaining him last year, unlike the other 3 mentioned that we didnt have trouble containing.... Fulton also has a couple of juniors that are the real deal, not just one... AE always has them, Alcoa (Not really KIL) has a great sophomore guard... ALso, considering almost all schools are D1 in basketball then I would say all of the 4 above mentioned, but now of them will goto a top 50 program...

The problem with halls is schools are growing around them, the north knoxville area is growing faster then west know was 10 years ago, which this means more young people in the community. give it time and they will cycle athletes through there before long. Also, Shephard needs to get a new weight program, the strentth of Halls teams have dropped a little every year since coach Kerr left...

That is what is happening now and it isnt fair to everyone else, they need to split of these crews, you the same ole crews all the time, break them up, that way they can learn off of each other. Also, for T$$AA being a nonprofit orgainization, their sure are a lot of profits.... Also i agree with the man above, if you havent ever refed a game then you need to do it, it stinks, it is a lot harder then everyone thiks, the best place to see things happen is in the stand so maybe they need to put a ref in the stands where the can see the overall picture....

Im not sure his name but he is the athletic black kid. I am not saying he still has it, but last year it was terrible, all 4 times I saw him played he had a bad attitude. the coach is a good coach, but not a great coach, he is blessed with a lot of really good players, the best thing the coach can do is keep on visiting the middle schools, that way AE and Fulton will still have trouble taking their talent.... Anyways why would you jump all over a guy who is taking up that team, no team is perfect, if they were then they would be unbeatable. so step off.....

I didnt put Bradley in the top ten b/c like I said I havent seen every team, and nor do I pretend too. South Doyle has a 3 man then shoot the ball, but mroe improtantly he can take it to the rack. They have a post player that is undersized, but he plays with a chip on his shoulder. Their point guard is smart and knows his limits, and they have another post player that is really good, but has a terrible attitude. They are a well balanced team, they only thing they are missing is structure and coaching...

Why dont they just give White Station and exemption and go ahead and put them in state, then play an extra game in state, that way someone else might get a chance to go for once...

Ask Jody Wirght at Fulton High School what he thinks, he goes to state year in and year out, and he always has half of his guys in football. The fact is the kid makes that decision, it is always something, it if it is to tough then dont do it, I played Four sports in High School, including 2 fall sports Football and Golf, and I never had a problem getting ready for basketball, or after that soccer. If kids are to big of pansies then they need to stick to one sport, half of the problem is that parents are filling their kids head of crap and telling them they are doing too much. Just play ball.

1. Maryville- Returning some great players 2. Clinton- College like size underneath- Guards to complement, leadership will be biggest opstacle 3. Austin East- Name says enough, have incredible talent young and old 4. Bearden- Best coached, he will have them ready 5. Alcoa- returning some incredible young talent 6. Oak Ridge- Good program, will have a good year 7. McMinn Central- Have incredible talent as always. 8. Anderson Co- Best coach in AA next Jody Wright, Return everyplayer from last year, and added a couple of young ones. 9. Fulton- Lost some key players, but Jody's D will be ready to put the clamps down 10. South Doyle- They return some incredible scorers, if they can pick up their defense this year then their ranking will become closer to the top. All of these teams I have seen play besides Rockwood, and I amsure there are some teams I am missing, but give me a break, I am only one man..

Yes coaching has a lot to do with, but the biggest reason Maryville is so successful is that they have incredible feeder programs. These feeder programs are teaching incredible football, and most of the time they grow up playing together, unlike Knoxville schools that have different feeder programs, then no telling where they will go to school. When players get into the high school level in Maryville they have a great understanding of the fundamentals of football....

HALF OF THE LENOIR CITY PLAYERS WERE LIMPING ON THE SIDELINES...... ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS TWO WORDS SEAN MOUNTS...... I THOUGH HARRIS WAS THE BEST ATHLETE IN THE REGION, BUT I WILL QUICKLY GO BACK TO MY EARLIER OPINION. SEAN MOUNTS IS THE REAL DEAL... HE CAN RUN THE BALL, CATCH THE BALL, RETURN THE BALL, PUNT & KICK THE BALL, HECK HE EVEN COMPLETED A PASS FOR ABOUT 30 YRDS. I HAVENT SEEN A KID PLAY IRON MAN FOOTBALL LIKE THA BEFORE. HE LITTERLY DID EVERYTHING... THE ONLY THING THAT COULD STOP MOUNTS WAS THE KICKING NET ON THE SIDLLINES WHICH HE HIT FULL SPEED AND WAS QUITE IMPRESSIVE THAT HE GOT UP... ALSO, HOW ABOUT THE BIG STEP UP FROM THE SOPHOMORE VANN. HE SHOWED INCREDIBLE ATHLETIC ABILITY, AND I CANT WAIT TO SEE HIM PLAY THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS.. PRETTY MUCH. THE COMMUNITY IN CLINTON WOULD BE ABOUT THE WORST TO WORK WITH. EVERYONE THINKS THEY KNOW ALL ABOUT FOOTBALL AND WHEN IN FACT THEY DONT KNOW ANYTHING. ALSO DONT PLAN ON JOSH KERR OR TONY LAMBERT LEAVING ANDERSON COUNTY, LAMBERT KNOWS THAT LARRY HAS A FEW YEARS LEFT, AND HE IS WAITING. I must say that mavsplaymaker hasnt shown up this year. I am a past AC alumn, and this is the most unerachieveing team I have ever seen. You all cant put up any points, and have not made any plays against a quality opponent yet. I am ashamed of AC this year, b/c they have more talent then AC has ever had, yet you all play like a bunch of pansies, so before you come on here talking smack, you need to find something to talk smack about. YOu all need to quit being a bunch of cocky punks and get ready to play some good ole smash mouth football down the stretch and into the playoffs... NOW, Goodluck to all three teams in the region I hope one of the 3 will be bring back the state championship.

Anderson County might jsut have the best defense in the state, but if you cant SCORE any freakin points it doesnt matter. AC in the past has shown up for the playoffs, and maybe last year when they got shafted at G-Pittman will spark some fight, but AC better just concentrate on the next 2 games or they wont be going, b/c Lenoir City, and Scott Co are hungry for a playoff spot.

Ok that is was a very ignorant response, Yes you have Edmistion that is the best player in Tn High School, and you have some excellent tackles, and a heck of running back, but give me a freakin break. Lincoln Co, cant beat Maryville, Central, or Austin East straight up... And yes I have seen you all play this year, and Yes I have seen AE play this year, and I will sell Maryville and Central this Friday, but I know what they can do and it is impressive.... Lincoln Co better be glad that they are in 5A because they wouldnt have a chance in 4 A, and yes Lincloln Co should win state in 5 A

Scott Co has improved, but they played an early cupcake schedule to make their record look better then it is. The only chance Scott has is if Austin Easts legs cramp up on the 1 hour 45 minute bus ride, and yes it is that far on a bus because Jellico Mountain is a tough one. It should take a driver just over an hour if you hammer down...\ Austin East 42 Scot Co 13 *Watch the language...

Lets see, since this topic is stupid, If you can remember a team called Oak Ridge, that was ranked # 1 nationally for a few years in the early 90's, Until, the next # 1 ranked national team called Central High beat then (Remember Todd Helton, yea that was his team), THen remember when Cleveland High School was ranked # 1 Nationally and held the longest winning streak of 54 games, until Anderson Co beat them.. Remember Pearl Cohn and John Henderson they were ranked in the top 5.... Also, anyone that knows football in other states would realize most schools do not zone the way Tennessee high school's do. In Cali, the school are usually a couple of thousand to 6 thousand students, In Illinois is the same, In most part Texas is the same... SO if Tennessee was like this then they would combine Austin East, FUlton, and Central---or Maryville, Alcoa, and Blount, or Anderson Co, Clinton, and Oak Ridge, Now that is a scary thought if you combine those talented teams (Well maybe not CLinton) SO to say Tennesee doesnt have the same players and strengths is just ignorant. We cant help it that our state is small and our schools are small. OSHS For someone who knows so much about out of state football, it seems that you have ZERO Knowledge about out of state football...
