Orangecrush I wasn't really referring to that game because believe me I always hated Powell games too and karns, I almost got in fights at both of em with girls that I didn't even know saying stuff tyo me that they had no business saying. I didn't think that is what you guys should have done but i would have probably done the same thing. Those powell students shoulda been held back anyways everyone should have known that you guys were gonna run out there and at least celebrate!!! One of them saying something like that to girls definately crossed the line if it actually happened, but you guys don't deal with that stuff there are others that will take care of that stuff for you. Its ok cause when Clinton wins some football games they will shut up a lot of those powell kids! I wish i could have been at that meeting that you guys had at school, I think i would have been laughing the whole time maybe! I mean yeah you guys needed to be calmed down a little before it got worse and there was really a fight at a game. I wouldn't have wanted you guys to get in trouble and not be able to come to anymore games or the boys have got kicked out of something, but you know UTC and Lope, well I believe that Lop is having surgery TODAY to fix what the other doctor didn't or messed up even more. His collarbone wasn't put back the way it should have been so its a tough road for him. When he hurt his knee the main part was the way that he fell he hit both his shoulder and knee and messed em both up pretty badly both hopefully that will all be fixed today!!! AND ORANGECRUSH me and you need to talk about something anyways!!! VERY IMPORTANT, We need to make some things stop before they get out of hand and you really regret saying things!!! So when you get a chance I need to talk to you so my program does not begin to suffer from outside sources, I do not need that anymore!!!!

Orangecrush.......took ya long enough kiddo........maybe i should have put murmur or something........anyways, i know that you guys get rowdy at basketball games believe me I did too, i tried to get kicked out of a couple but me being a girl they never thought i was capable of saying the things i said so they would throw the boys out next to me........hahaha.........anyways, I mean yeah you guys had fun and all that good stuff, but there is a point where you guys should have drawn a little bit of a line because it was making the school look bad, but your bball team stood behind you and backed up everything that you were yelling by winning A LOT!!! I am so excited about the new football season and the new coach and hopefully everything will go as smooth as possible. Its just too bad that it has taken this long and all of us that have graduated or are graduating miss out on the fun and the feeling of winning at football! I only got to experience it my freshman year and a couple times during the other seasons and one memorable touchdown my senior year against Maryville!!!!!

Thank you so much NEWMAN that is so true. CLinton does have a problem remembering to back up their boys and telling them to stick with it, you shouldn't quit just because you aren't winning. I know that winning is fun, but my goodness sometimes you have to lose to realize what real fun is all about. As hard as it is for me to say being the way that i am it is just a GAME, but we all put much more on it then that. Orangecrush Of course you know me, I graduated in the big 2002!!! I'll give u 3 guesses who I am kiddo.......I love seeing you all paint up believe me, it always brings back great memories of the past when I see the student section behind their team no matter what, thats what always drew me to basketball more than football, the student section always played a huge role in the momentum of the game and this year you guys did tremendously well, even if you did a lot of things that I didn't much agree with you guys were always behind the boys. It made me wanna be back there right in the middle with you guys, but it was fun watching from afar as well!!! I think Clinton will take a little while to rebuild and I hope that the Clinton community understands that and they just push the jobs and cheer for them when they come off the field and I hope that a whole lot of parents decide to cheer during the games instead of sit up in the stands and talk about ways that they can get rid of the coach, because there is only so much that a coach and staff can take before they get fed up and don't care anymore!!! GO DRAGONS!!!

Yup Tiffany is gone and I think that she will really be wonderful up there, but I do believe another reason she is going up there is for Track and her Dad, but she will be missed at Clinton but we all wish her the best!!!!! As to AC football players leaving to come to Clinton, that would be CRAZY!!!!! That could possibly be the first time in HISTORY that something like that has happened, its about time they found out what it feels like to get players to leave your program for another. all I can say to that is what goes around comes around!!!!

Orangecrush, you are so smart!!! I agree with almost everything that you say......I have faith that Clinton has begun a process that will take them to the dynasty that we used to be YEARS ago. I have faith in all the boys, but its gonna be hard when you come into a program that hasn't had a whole lot of things taught to them over the years and don't know what some commands are. I mean Shattuck has come in and taken care of business already, we are getting a new practice field spread right now, he makes the boys run, they are getting disciplined, I mean thats what they needed. Politics play a huge role in any sport at any school if you know the right people in the right places life is much much easier and that is something that catlett never had and yes i too believe that ingle should have been the head coach, but again politics pushed an administration to make another decision just like they have done in basketball a few times. But through it all clinton has made it through and I think for the first time we have a coach that everyone is gonna stand behind because its now when the boys are gonna need it the most. The stands will be filled with orange and black again and screaming fans, what a feeling to come home too!!! I miss those days where the Dragons were Anderson Co. champions and i believe soon enough that there will be a couple GOAL POSTS COMIN DOWN!!!!! Go Dragons!!!!!!

Ha, I love how everyone just likes to disagree with EVERYTHING that EVERYONE says I know that is the beauty of COACHT, but I never said that he was the only reason. People like to jump to the conclusions that people think that they know everything and I know that I don't, but I do know that he was a great addition to your coaching staff and it doesn't help that Knox schools are able to pay their coaches and teachers more than Anderson Co. and that does not include Oak Ridge when i talk about anderson co. I would have done the same thing that he did....

I do agree with you that it takes a complete coaching staff believe me i know all too well and so do all "clintoners" I just hope that Maryville knows how lucky they are because it took the clinton community way too long to understand what they had.....

God Family Football hmmmmm.......is there anything wrong with this picture???? In my eyes no and I'm a girl that does not play football........In fact the school that has that tshirt with that on the back is awesome. I like the shirt and if all my players agreed to it i would have one. These kids have the choice to buy these shirt and yes wear them. There is no coach makin them wear or buy them........It hurts me to know that this is even bein discussed. I coach volleyball at a local high school and my girls want to pray before a game and i do not forbid them to do it, but its a better idea for me to not lead it. I do stand with my girls when they pray, but its usually done in the locker room before warm-ups or anything begins. I always pray by myself before a game and yes ill admit a few times during the game. Prayer is not only a religious aspect, but a very calming because i know that if i didn't do it before a game i would be a nervous wreck all before and during the game. It relaxes me and puts my mind at ease and reminds me that this is a game that i am allowed to decide whether or not to play and coach..........I think we all need to remember that if someone wore a shirt that said them in another order we would be scared, but these kinds know where their heads are at...........would you rather in say....... SEX DRUGS and a little football if i pass my drug test ?????? just athought......................support the kids when we can because sometimes its a little harder to find the good things they do then it is the bad things.........

Ok, everyone from around knox and surrounding counties knows how good Maryville has and will be, but please do remember and look back on one of the main things that got em there........a CLINTON COACH!!!! Mistakes and i mean HUGE mistakes have been made in Clinton's past, but the biggest was letting Gaylor go. And the whole Clinton "community" knew that and of course when something is done against their wishes no one will be supportive, thats clinton's problem, but the boys are getting disciplined now and i think the real competitive side will come out.......No of course they will be no MARYVILLE this year, but give em a few. You have to remember this program is being completely rebuilt and its about time......so just give em a rest, but good luck to maryville keep ahold of gaylor and you will have no problems...... GO DRAGONS!!!!!

Well first off congratulations on beginning your wonderful journey into coaching......Be prepared!!!! It'll be fun and difficult at the same time but there is no greater thrill then seeing those kids win games and get better then they ever thought possible. What age are you coaching??? I coach high school girls and are only 19 years old myself, so if there is anything that I can help you with, I'd be glad to help!!! Good luck!!!

WOW, its amazing to see what people have to say about others. I am not going to put anyone down at all, but frankly I'm guite hurt by all the terrible things said about lockard. He is one of the best guys I have ever met and would do absolutely anything for his boys. And I'm am completely shocked and blown away by the race issue, that is plain ole ridiculous. You obviously no nothing about Clinton and the Clinton coaching staff. So come back when you know people. And that is you all being very narrow minded. I can not believe anything would be said like that on this board. Wasn't the topic of conversation the O.R. Clinton game??? I do believe it was. So to all you who put terrible things about Clinton's program I'm deeply saddened. The O.R. Clinton game wasn't what a whole lot of people thought it would be. Both teams will get much better during the season and I think the game at clinton will be much much more interesting. We will all see what both teams are made of. Marcvols, can you believe this stuff, its crazy!!! But all Clinton people know the truth about this program and everything along with it, so at least we know. I didn't say that we still had the 3 record, but I sure would love to bring it back to clinton. I think if they get hot like they did that year when they broke it when they didn't even know it, I think it will happen all over again this year if they become the team that they are capable of being.

I'm sure that Clinton is serious about rebuilding their program, but they don't want to make the same mistake again and completely weigh all their options.

I agree, Clinton will be one of the toughest teams to beat. Hopefully it will be like the past with some teams that Clinton has had. Guys, I think that you look like a team that will go far, but only if you all want it. And work as a team and decide what you want to do and where you want to go. I wish you guys all the luck in the world and I'll be there supporting you as much as possible. I hope you show everyone around here what a true Dragon is like...... Clinton has a great chance to go anywhere that they want, but we will have to wait for the season to start to see how they match up against everyone else around here. Hopefully we can break a 3 record again just because we seem to be on that night. When everyone steps up their game their will be no one standing in the Dragon's way....
