Scrimmage tonight at home vs. Tullahoma. Next Friday, I think we scrimmage White House.

Hey Squosh! We have talked about the upcoming & you know how I feel! I can hardly wait for football season!! I hope you & Gwave still have that train horn! With an experienced O-line & practically the whole backfield returning, the offense should be improved over last year's squad. I don't expect the turnover problems of last year either. (I can't remember ever seeing a Gallatin team fumble so much!) I have always favored the defensive side of ball though & my favorite player is finally a senior this year! This should be one the best defensive teams we've had in quite a while! Give me a call when you get a chance, I need to ask you something. GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard 109, but not sure how accurate that is. Should be close though. Only lost 12 to graduation.

Gallatin has about 40 returning juniors & 30 something sophomores. Lost only 12 to graduation. Defense should be outstanding! Look for them to make some noise! GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you guys have a better year in 2006! Gallatin returns forty-six juniors & about 38 sophomores. Expect big things in Green Wave territory!!

I personally hate that the games are at MTSU. Nice facility & all, but something is lost in the "neutral field." Some of the best memories of my dad revolve around Green Wave football. I can remember in 1978 when we won our first state championship. The road trip was half the fun! Getting out of school early & caravaning to Chattanooga with all the other fans. Signs hanging in the car that read, "Honk if you're a Green Wave fan." Storming the field after the game to celebrate with your team. We even tore down the goal posts. (Sorry, Red Bank) I also think that the way the playoffs are structured now, the two best teams aren't always in the final game. I guess the TSSAA is more interested in the playoff pairings leading up to the championship games & not the championship games themselves. They are probably making huge amounts of money the way things are set up!

Congratulations to both teams from Gallatin. It's not easy to make it to the championship game, even though Riverdale makes it look that way! Hats off to Coach Stevens in his first year at the helm! I had been waiting for a chance to see S. Gulmire play & was not dissapointed. Over 2000 yds. rushing for the season...man, that's impressive! And to Ravenwood. What can you say? Three years & a state championship! I knew what T.C. Jennings was capable of...he picked us apart at home last year! I was impressed with the Williams kid too, but, I must say that the defense was incredible. Becker & crew really got it done! Congratulations to the Raptors & I hope to see you next year!!

I heard a couple of weeks ago that the administration had not followed through with some things they had promised & that there was a possibility he would be looking elsewhere. If this is the case, what a shame!! I don't have to convince anyone at WC what a fantastic coach he is. I know that he has enjoyed helping to build that program. I haven't heard anything about MJ, but I did hear that he may not want to be in a head coaching position due to family obligations. I guess only time will tell.

I'll play & say Oak Ridge, Cookeville, Brentwood, & Ridgeway! What the heck,thought I'd be different! Best of luck to all!!

I guess if you keep saying every year that Rankin's gonna leave, eventually he will. I certainly don't envy that man who takes his place! After Coach Short left, Jerry Joslin took the helm at Gallatin & only lasted 4 years, I think it was. It's a little ironic that you will now be facing him! Anyway, after being on top for so long, a "down" year was not an option at Gallatin, but I think Joslin have proven to be an outstanding head coach! It takes time when someone new comes in, even if they have been with the program for a while! Regardless of how you feel about Rankin, he is the premiere coach in 5A! Good Luck!

(I kind of got the feeling that the Blue Cross Bowl will be without them this year though for the first time in a while. I think Cookeville will get them this week.) Don't know anything about Ridgeway, but welcome. It's nice to see some new teams in the mix.Was hoping to see one of you in a couple of weeks, but my boys fell short this year! How old is your school & is this the first time you guys have made it to the playoffs? I have relatives at Bolton & Arlington, but am not familiar with you guys.

Congratulations to Cookeville on their big win Friday night against a tough WC team! Do you guys have any room in the stands for some GREEN & GOLD support? Wow, what a game! My boys just came up alittle bit short! Bwood missed a field goal late in the 4th, but a roughing the kicker penalty gave them another chance. After 3 more trys on offense, they made the go ahead & eventual game winning field goal. Gallatin had a chance to go ahead with about 2:30 left, but a bad snap & bobbled hold ended it! The crowd was great & the atmosphere ELECTRIC!!!!! I must say that I am so proud of this team! Man, you guys really got it together these last few weeks! Hats off to you guys! With forty-something returning juniors & thirty-something returning sophs, we will be back in the hunt next year! Ben & Jair, you are beasts!! To the 12 seniors, congratulations on a great season!
