Wireman, You crack me up!!!!! The HL game of two years ago is ancient history, as is last year's McGavock game! You guys just like to rub salt in the wounds, but we've moved on from that. New team, new season. Don't know for sure how it will turn out for us Friday night, but I don't think WC will underestimate us at "our house" & I know it will be a great game! Parking is pretty good. You can either turn by the library & park on the visitors side or park at the hospital & walk across the street. I plan on being there by 6:30. I have a reserved seat, but I like to watch both teams warm-up. I don't think you will have any trouble finding a seat as long as you get there by then. Hendersonville has a bye week this week, so I imagine their will be some Commandoes hanging around. Good Luck to WC as well. GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, Does anyone know the status of Miller, Gleaves & Hall for Friday's game or is it too early to know if they will be able to go? I think both teams will be ready for this showdown. Gallatin has got to improve on the penalties. They have killed us the past two weeks!! I too think that we play better when the competition is better, so I look for a much cleaner game! I do not think that WC will score 35 on us as a couple of others have mentioned. I think it will be more of a defensive game. I hope it does not come down to the kicking game because ours has not looked that great! Anyway, it will be a tremendous atmosphere at the Wave Yard on Friday night!! C-ya on the 50! Wireman, I agree that we should not overlook the Colts. My hope is that we correct some of the penalties from the last two weeks & continue to progress offensively. I would like to see 21 in the first half. These two things will be crucial in the next few weeks! It is with a heavy heart that I will not be attendance this Friday, but I have other obligations this week. I will, however, be sportin' the GREEN & GOLD up in Hartsville Friday & will be calling you for updates during the game. GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!

Catfish, Gallatin does indeed play Glencliff this Friday. They play Wilson Central next Friday, the 23rd, at Gallatin. We then play Antioch at home on the 30th & WC has Riverdale! Both teams have a tough couple of weeks ahead of them! I hope Preston Brown is healthy for our game with Antioch! Our defense is tough & hopefully up to the challenge! Congrats to the Green Wave! Still too many penalties, but hopefully they will improve each week! Once again a SOLID defensive effort!! Offensively, the second half was better. We continued to mix it up a bit & I think the run game is more effective when Jair & Ben are in there to help block. Man, those two can open up some holes!! Had a great crowd at the game. People were lined up around the fence! Enjoyed the male cheerleaders! (Especially the kid from Canada...what a blast!) Read in the paper that Sheffield maybe tore his ACL. Sorry to hear that. Wish he could've played the whole game! Hopefully, it's not as bad as they think. Speedy recovery to him & good luck to Beech the remainder of the season!

Gallatin 29 Beech 6 We play Glenncilff next week & then we get into the harder part of our schedule with Wilson Central & Antioch!

My mother is Sonny's older sister, Camille. She is several years older than he is, so you may not know her. Their younger sister Betsy is married to Benny Jackson's brother & Benny is married to the former Deborah Perry. She was a McKenzie graduate. Man, it is a small world!!! GO REBELS!!!!!!!!! VandT, Not that they need it, but Coach Short can only help out the Blue Devils. He is the man!! It was a little strange seeing him at the jamboree in Blue & White though!! WH is off to a rough start, but I think they will be fine & definitely make some noise in the playoffs. By the way, my Uncle is David (Sonny) Byrd. do you or Duck know him? Duckman, I remember talking to you on here last year. My grandparents were from McKenzie & I still have an uncle living there. You asked about Coach Short. He is now "volunteer" coaching the freshman team up in White House. My Green Wave are young this year, but have tremendous potential! The defense is outstanding & the offense seems to be improving each week. I think after a couple of more games we will be a force to be reckoned with!!
