That'sa fav of mine too. Cade was still learning the position, but held off another good QB prospect to lead the team. I went to that Championship game. Hillsboro's offense was totally incomprehensible. That was one heck of a win!! Cade did not hold hold off anybody, Alex rouse was taken out on a cheap shot during a scrimmage game against halls or somebody. I have to go with either 2000 or 2002. 2000, because they lost their 1st four then came back when everyone said they couldn't and won state. 2002 because that team was just incredible, the numbers they put up was amazing. Drew galyon flying in off the end sacking qb's left and right, stewart and McCord running over, around, and through defenders like they werent anything. not to mention the receiving corps.

I can't say S U C K S? fine then cassen jackson needs to find the bench of life and sit on it.

heck afire people build up hype about all these great runningbacks that are going to trounce maryville. hmm Gerald riggs- i think he got like 60 yards and 50 of them came against the 4th string. the guy from cleveland i can't remember his name lavonte barber maybe, oh lord hes gonna kill maryville's D. HA 45 yards. and last but certainly not least Cassen By god Jackson, the baddest mf'er of all time. pretty sure he stinks at life and lost like 25 yards at the most crucial point in his high school career. and yes to all you people that think im a "Hater", "cocky", or the ever so gracious "a-hole" your right I am.

just curious but who the heck has a nickname of "duck" i mean honestly. think about a duck. its a small little animal that floats, its not vicious, and it darn sure can't run for 100 yards. and they're some ugly little critters too. so i guess "Duck" your just an ugly little animal that floats and quacks.

all i know is that it was a hot son of a ###### out there watchin that game. my boy parnell put a hurtin on quack quack or whoever he is. that team has alot of potential and definately gonna be there in the postseason.

this is kind of an Odd statement, but the funniest thing i think i heard all yr was this Greenback opened the 1st round of the playoffs playing a team that was 1-9. the most memorable thing is Maryville beating Central twice. and going 13-1 in a "down year, maybe they win 4 or 5 games." The second most memorable thing I will remember is how players and coached and fans all over Tennesee prayed for my friend Ryan when he had a brain anuerism. that was incredible.

Sorry but doesnt the title of this thread stink? One loss and its the end of Maryville Football? its not like the school is going to cut the program, and its not like we dont have the entire offensive line coming back and 5 or 6 rb's and a Qb with one loss in 40 games. good lord people act like the whole MAryvile football team is going to pack up and call it quits. and I hope that next yr everybody underestimates them yet again, because like this yr they will still be a contender.

Yall deserve this ive kept on your games and im really glad that you were able to bring a championship home to East Tennessee...And too bad so sad for Mo-town. I guess they deserved to lose. Of the games i have personally seen at Maryville in the last 4 seasons, i have to go with the 2003 4a 3rd round game... Maryville Vs. Central part II. just a great comeback by maryville, and a hard fought game by central to try and win it for their coach. both teams real class acts

Coach Garret: Central can move the ball at will against Maryville? Oh is that why Jackson had a 20 yard loss in OT? Not to take anything away from Central they are a great team. This time will be interesting, Rebels have all theis players, and central is sick with the "flu." it will definataley be a 4 quarter game, not a blowout at all. Maryville by a FG or TD

Without a Doubt this weeks top game is going to be Maryville vs. Knox Central Last time the game was amazing. This time it is Maryville's house and a playoff game. No suspensions, no "Flu" just pure football. Id expect a good 8,000 or more people at this one. When Gerald Riggs came to town there was a ton of people. Hopefully this game is every bit as good as the first one. go REBS make it 38 in a row.

Ryan was supposed to go to UT. Vs. Miss. State game today. and is set to rturn to school on Monday.

AndyKelly- seems you are just another hater. why dont you like Maryville? Because the boys work hard and it pays off? Because they win. And dont try to say they do not play with class. Read the posts on here from the teams Maryville has beaten.. somebody always comments on the amount of class Maryville shows in each game. With the talent they have we could easily trounce a lot of teams but we don't we play 3rd and 4th stringers half the game. Your just upset that Rhea county came into our house and got beat by a team that just happens to be on a 36 game winning streak oh wait its not 37games. so Think before you speak. So fine- so what i called him a ######. whatever happend happend it was posted in the lockeroom at Maryville and it fired the boys up. yes i gave "props" to Cassen and Zach they both deserved it. Actually shook Helton's hand after the game. seems likea nice guy doubt he said that bottom line someone said it from central thats all it took to fire up just about the entire school. great job both teams best game i've ever seen. Round 3 should be another classic battle.
