I am certain that Coach Worrell feels he will have a "problem" with Kendall - that's exactly why HE SIGNED HER, you idiot. There are several college coaches out there who were willing to have a "problem" with her -- that's why she had to make a CHOICE as to where to go to school. I've watched KJ play since 4th grade (remember that carpet-burn gym at the elementary school?? ouch!). I've never seen her on the floor when she wasn't going 275mph and giving 110% - you can't coach that, it's just something that coaches love to have a "problem" with. I'm sure you will read this when you get back from the bank to cash the checks college coaches are sending you in abundance in return for your evaluations on their prospects; oh, I mean their "problems"...

Being from a big city is exactly how Ashley McElhiney (metropolis of Gleason)and Jenny Lannon (sprawling township of Bradford) won Miss Basketball.... Now, we have Kendall Cavin who touts from the Media Center of the entire civilized world - Martin - as a candidate. I've been to Manchester - heck they got a Holiday Inn, for Pete's sake!

WE CAN WIN ON THE ROAD - but anyone with a lick of sense would RATHER PLAY AT HOME.... I wonder if anyone has every looked to see how many teams that play on the road advance to Murfreesboro? We did in 2001. If you can't win on the road, you WON'T get to the state tournament. What's the point of going to the 'Boro??? To get the gold ball, of course! No one thought that the Westview Chargers would end their season being 3 minutes away from a sub-state game. Let's face it, after losing over 600 pounds in the post from a year ago (and I heard at the beginning of the season that the entire starting five didn't make 600 pounds this year!!) I'm not sure that anyone thought they would go very far. Westview Seniors, you had a GREAT season; you were so much fun to watch! We will miss you, Seniors. You have left a great foundation for Westview Basketball to build on. Work hard this summer and continue to improve!

Meredith's team (Bradford) may not be at the top, but Miss Basketball is not a team award. She had games of 39 and 41 points (7 and 9 three-pointers) and still ended up being on the losing team. She's a phenom. I got to see her play AAU this summer and she's awesome.
