I was at that game and not one person on that team make any excuse for getting beat. The rain did help Whitwell use a ground attack to chew up the clock and keep the ball out of Healys hands and every fan from Boyd congratulated the Whitwell players as they were leaving the field. (myself included) Whitwell was the better team that night.

Also Agreed, Peardon did have a good game in an losing effort, the kid had a hard time with a stomach virus or something a day or two before Fridays game and wasn't such if he would be starting Fri. But he still had a pretty good game. Aikins also looked pretty good (on offensive).

I may be wrong (which i,m usually am), in my opinon i think it 60% players, numbers, etc. and 40% coaching. Over the years i've seen some pitful programs do a complete turn around with a coaching change. Maybe a thread on this subject will be started, just to see what everyone thinks.

Way to go 123kid you stuck with MC and took alot of smash-talkin. Stick with the Warriors and many people will be giving you an apology before the end of the season, a coaching change means alot in any sport. Just look at Grundy with Taylor just helping out.

All anyone has to do is think back, the GREAT OWLS start talkin early in the season and by the 5th or 6th game you can't find an OWL fan anywhere (cause they are usually 2-4 or 3-3), but good luck to both teams and i hope both teams are injury free, and PioneerPride will see yall Sep. 24.

He was in the 10th grade when he was a great OWL and a lot smaller than he is now. Chris has worked hard during the off season and has improved since the 10th grade but laugh it up funny boy this kid will play college ball next year.(but i know he would be 5th string at Ooltewah)

Payne was healthy last year but transfered from the great Owls to the Bucs so he has to sat the first 7 games, but was a big factor in the playoffs and the state championship, also he has had an offer from the Georgia Bulldogs.
