  1. someone fill me in. What happened
  2. Does anyone know when the new schedules are typically up?
  3. Does anyone know how fast the new schedules typically get up?
  4. hey y'all, how soon will we find out who's playing who and when next weekend (friday the 2nd and sat the 3rd)? and how is it organized, is it seeded by district record, and is the tourny schedule/bracket somewhere i can see it even if it's still got blanks for who's playin who?
  5. GREAT game against Riverdale and really a good season overall. I know some of the players didn't reach the expectations they had set for themselves and are disappointed, but the way they ended it friday night should still make them feel great about their season. As for future players, Warren County's still got some pretty good talent coming up, some may say next year will bea rebuilding year, but I honestly think that they have enough raw talent (may take a couple games of experience on some of them to mature) to be just as competitive if not more so next year. The 0-Line needs to hit the weight room extremely hard though; Jay Hutchings showed that he is capable of running the ball this year. Morgan Wilcher still brings his power to the D-Line and Fullback. I expect to see Caleb Northcutt to be put in a position where he will be expected to make big plays as a Sophmore this year. He began getting some playing time towards the tail end this year and did JUST fine. Upcoming sophmore lineman Cody Robinson is a hard worker in the weight room and has possibly some of the greatest potential on the team for excelling at his position in the coming years. He's also one of those that really needs to fine tune the raw talent and size/strength he's been blessed with. Secondary will have some spots to fill. Linebackers I think will be just fine. David Delane got VERY good experience this year, which will help him tremendously with on the field thinking and reads after an offseason in the weight room. Someone who didn't play quite as much this year, but I believe will have a huge impact wherever he plays is upcoming senior Shelton Brewer. Smart, good work ethic, etc. I hope these new seniors are ready to step up and be the leaders, Warren County's growing every year and can't afford to slow down any.
  6. I agree, I think they'll be fine. They're offense is doing a great job at giving the defense a break, except for the ones going both ways of course... The running game has been great, but I just hope the coaches are still repping the passes during practice! Ive seen many teams roll through their seasons without having to fall back on a passing game only to get put out of the playoffs because they get to a quality team that stops their run and pass because the team hasnt had to pass all year! I've got a feeling we'll see some passing next week against Franklin Co. Shelbyville is much improved from last year! I hope these 2 losses don't get them down!! That QB looks like he does a good job leading his offense. They proved in the 1st half that they could move the ball, but a lot of that I'm sure was WC's penalties and maybe some mental mistakes going on.
  7. I thought WC gathering on the arrowhead was hilarious, although that probably is just because I'm from Warren County too...I felt like they did it to get their own intensity, not to tick off Riverdale, but I would imagine it did tick Riverdale off as it would me if someone did that in our stadium. I know several of the players and know that hardly anyone in WC had any confidence for tonight, which may have really hurt them during preparing for tonight. Maybe they'll remember that 1st quarter come this time next year and know that they can play with anyone.
  8. Besides the passing game (which we didn't have to rely on due to a great running game tonight) I think this is the best the team as a whole has played. Great long drives that ate the clock and produced points, Defense only giving up one big play in the 1st half that was the TD catch and forced several turnovers (3 or 4 picks and maybe a fumble recovery) . Anyone know how Moran is? He went out with about 8:30 left in the 4th; it looked like he hurt his knee again.
  9. I think a cut block hit his knee a little weird, but he's fine.
  10. I just gotta say that I got a lot of respect for those Cumberland Co. players that stick with it this season. I remember when I was in middle school and our high school were in the same boat as they are now and I would get mad at the people who blamed the players on the team for the bad season, when the people blamin sure werent helpin sittin in the stands. It's the people that quit that let down the program. Those guys still playin are stickin with it. However, the only thing that I didn't like about them was when I was shakin their hands after the game, I got the impression that it didn't HURT them anymore to lose. There's a difference between holding your head up after a loss and not caring that you lost. I just hope these guys will still care and use that to fight it out till the end of the season, you never know when something strange will happen and they can get a win.
  11. I thought Lebenon pretty much took the competetion as a whole, I didn't look at the team results, but it seemed like they had the last guys lifting in most every lift. That carlos sophmore is awsome. I believe he squatted 500, in the 181 weight class. He said he could do more, don't know why he didnt go for everything though if he can....They have awsome power clean technique. Very strong team, but I remember them being really strong last year at the competition too, it looked to be lots of returning players from what I remembered. Riverdale, Lebenon, White Co, Greenwood, Warren Co, McMinn Co were there. A couple guys from random schools were there. If i missed one, sry.
  12. This year's WC offense is really just going to be different, but don't think that the talent level is going way down. It'll just be in a different area. This year the line is the area with the most experience and we have lots of new people coming out. Defense is loaded
  13. I can see Coffee County having a big year next year. This past year they played pretty good though the record doesn't show it, and they're bringing back a lot of players. I think Cookeville will drop a little, but I just say that because I don't know much about the classes under their 30 something seniors except for a couple players, and I think lack of experience won't be much of a factor after their good coaching and a few games into the season. Don't know what to say about Lincoln Co, they have the history of being great, but had a down year, I guess they good go either way. I think Franklin Co. has a lot of talent coming back. Warren Co, yes they lost some very talented seniors, including the QB Josh Paz, but we have a LOT of returning starters who have worked just as hard as the seniors that are graduating. Just to name a few, Jon Paz, who's gotten all-region since his freshmen year, has gone both ways this past year and been LB since freshmen year. Todd Dunn, the big DT. Plus, a winning season after so many losing seasons, we've had SOO many students say they're going to give football a shot, because they see something starting here. Now I know a large part may not stick with it, but it's a lot easier to stick with it when you think you're gonna win than when you're losing. I don't see Warren Co. going into another slump like they were in anytime soon. Cumberland Co, well, I think it'll be tough playing in 5A with the numbers of a 4A or 3A school, but ya never know in football....
  14. There's some sort of booklet that comes out during the year that talks about each team in the state, it mentions players names and all that and who they think will be good; i believe the coaches tell them what to write for their team or what they think about their team for the next season, so I don't think it'd be too hard for each team to submit a team roster with height, weight, 40 time, and the other necessary stuff. Now whether every team would agree to that, i dunno. But I guess if they don't, then their team just wouldn't be accurate.
  15. Regions are set for 4 years aren't they? That means Cumberland Co. is set in 3-5A for a while with the enrollment of a 3A or 4A school. Would there be any chance of getting out a couple years early once the other schools change their non-region games?
