  1. Karter didn't play this year, so I would take him off.
  2. Jay McKenzie is reportedly playing at Maryville.
  3. I was unaware that Ring had moved forward. That should be interesting. I have played with and against him for four years and he has always played defender. Interesting to say the least.
  4. Actually, as you can pretty clearly see from my post, I went to McCallie. (just graduated) I don't know much about Father Ryan I will admit that much, I might be underrating them, but I can't get over some of their losses (KC, BGA, Brentwood). Those are some good teams, but alot of those scores indicate blowouts, but I could be wrong. As for Baylor not making state, they were just as good as any other team in the east. They could easily have won region. I also feel like out of the top teams in the east, they lose the least. And as for giving respect to the middle, we played USN and BA and those teams were flat out not as good as Baylor, Webb, KC, or even ND. Sorry, but I refuse to put BA in the top ten and I think that USN deserves about the 8 spot. They got on a run late, but that was just one run, really just two games. MBA would probably for me be on the same level as MBA, but far above BA (at least this year). I just don't feel as though the middle has proven much over the past few years. USN is the only team to win a game at state in the past two years, correct me if I am wrong.
  5. Hahaha. I didn't even catch that Chatt Soccer.
  6. Yeah I am going to Centre College. Trey Meyer is going to Memphis. David Reaves is going to Bryan, along with Sammy Ortiz and Andres Garcia from Dalton. That is a good group of offensive stars. Look for Bryan to be up there with King in the NAIA rankings.
  7. Good point Teddy, but he is probably right on this one. They have six great players coming in. Rob Carden is probably the worst of those six and he is one heck of a player. Overall, they got six of the top players in not only east TN but the whole state.
  8. This would be my top ten for next year: 1) CBHS - Great Chemisty; need to find a goalie and a sweeper to replinish and they will be just as good as last year 2) MUS - Losing Paul Moinester (Sp?), who might have been the best player in D2, hurts alot, but they still have a great goalie who can change a game like no one else. I see them losing in the championship to CBHS. 3) Baylor - Graduating a lot, but with Karter Smith coming back I think and Chris Bach they will be comparatively better than last year. They also have the bulldog Jeff Kedrowski 4) ECS - Jon Ring is probably going to be the best sweeper (maybe defender) in the state next year 5) McCallie - Good every where but not great anywhere yet, although their forwards might be by next year. 6) Webb - As far as I know they only lost two really big contributors Russell Kramer and Andrew Bishop i think 7) Knox Catholic - Solid, but no star if they find a scorer they could move up 8) USN - can't ignore this years state run, but as you know i am not a huge fan and they lost Patrick McHugh, a great defender 9) Father Ryan - heard they are a young surprising team 10) BGA - don't know much about them except they graduate practically all their starters, but on history alone they deserve a spot here 5)6)7) could go either way they are essentially in no particular order, but I had to put McCallie at the top, just for loyalty
  9. Hoya, I agree that you guys definately will have talent next year, but I think that Catholic will struggle for not only an identity, but a go-to player. Sheridans, Goirdano, and Houbre have defined that team for two years and played a major part in the years before that. How will that team cope without a "star." I say this b/c I think that is what happened to McCallie. We had a solid team, but had trouble learning not to rely on on player to score all of our goals. Losing Corey Remillard last year hurt us b/c we had relied on him for so long. That is what I see KC struggling with next year. Then again you have surprised me before so good luck, except against McCallie.
  10. Oh and please don't let me shape your views of McCallie. Keep on liking us, especially since I am gone.
  11. Hahaha. WELL PLAYED, Invasion. Anyway, I agree with you lcsoccer is a class act, but I do not feel I have everyone's number. I just know what I believe and take a stance, this year my stance is that USN got lucky to make it to state finals. Oh and I will not be back next year. By the way, who are you Invasion? Do i know you? Just give me a hint.
  12. Also, From now on punctuate your messages. I had to read that three times to get what you were saying.
  13. Soccer4life you can get too the finals by luck, believe it or not. USN was outshot 28-5 (from what i hear) by CBHS in their first game. Now winning that game is luck. It is not all luck but from what I hear they should consider themselves very, very fortunate to win these games. You can win two games on luck and from what I hear that is essentially the way it happened.
  14. BGA from what I hear will fall way off. USN will not challenge for a state championship next year they got lucky this year. Catholic will fall a good bit b/c of the loss of not only talent, but of leadership and their whole team's persona. McCallie will be solid, but not able to compete with MUS and CBHS, but I can still hope. Baylor will be the most talented team in the east. Look for Baylor to win state one of the next two years, mainly b/c of Chris Bach and Karter Smith (when he comes back). THey also have a plethora of other good young players. Devin and Fynn Glover are good. So is Jeff Kedrowski, but he is a junior all the others are Sophomores. Webb will also be good, but losing Russell Kramer, their field general, will hurt. ND is losing alot on the field but they will be tough to beat b/c they still have Robby Miller.
  15. As of now, MUS is probably more underrated than USN. Everyone is jumping on their badwagon, but let us keep in mind that they are not that talented a team. They have Patrick and Hoover, but other than that not much. I honestly believe that they would not be in the top ten in D2 if everyone played everyone. Congrats on making it this far, but after these past two wins you have become overrated, not underrated.
  16. Hate to say this especially with all the overhype they got this year, but McMinn County will be very good next year. They keep alot of their stars and are a pretty deep team (although they are not 20 deep as their Coach might tell you). They are my pick for state champions next year. Farragut will drop off, as will Oak Ridge. Soddy-Daisy will be the best public school in the Chattanooga Area.
  17. BTW, I feel as though most teams in the middle are overrated compared to teams in the east, especially in D2 (and probably AAA and A/AA). THis is due to the presence of a few strong teams, but many, many weak teams. For example, BGA played almost no one in their D2 region games. BA MBA USN and Father Ryan is nowhere near comparable to say Notre Dame's schedule (McCallie, Baylor, Knox Catholic, and Webb).
  18. Sorry BHS, but freekick's point is a valid one. Teams might not be mentally prepared for some games, but win them on talent alone. However, when you get to Memphis all the teams are good and so the mental part of the game becomes more important. Maybe, Brentwood and some others were not mentally there. I, however, do not think you can necesarily say that was the problem. Might have just been unlucky bounces, i.e. Brentwood v. Oak Ridge. Might be the lack of mental preparation, but not necesarily could just be the way the ball bounced.
  19. Sorry, but Paris hahahahahaahahaha. We (Cleveland FC) beat them and we were terrible. Paris would lose 4-0 to any of the decent teams in state (TNFC Impact Redoubt Knights MFC Dragons Fury Rage). Impact players include Mitch Thomas, Evan Giordano, Michael Houbre, Russell Kramer, Josh Elam, Adam Montgomery, Igor Slisko, Todd Vincent, Luke Thompson, Bryan Hill, Spencer Brobowski (might have quit), Jared Britcher, and Brett Schreiber.
  20. Impact has got this one wrapped up. Redoubt and Brentwood Rage would both have to play their best game ever and Impact would have to play sub-par for this to end up any other way. My pick is Impact over Brentwood in the finals. Too bad, PSA could not keep it together or else they would also be in the mix.
  21. USN's luck runs out. MUS 2-0. USN can't get past MUS' sweeper, Paul something. Also, Bear will score for MUS.
  22. USN is a nice team, but I have to saythis is definately surprising. We (McCallie) beat them 3-0 in a scrimmage and it could have been worse. If you had told me after that game that this team would be in the finals I would have laughed at you. I would have guessed maybe a third seed in the west, but no more. I am very, very surprised to see USN here. What would you guess the shot cuont was in the Catholic game.
  23. Miller definately deserves to be first team. He made three disgusting saves against me alone in our first meeting (he played well the second game also excluding the one mistake). ND played a tough schedule and had a pretty weak defensive team, therefore hurting his stats, but he is definately the second best (maybe the best) goalie in the area. Miller and Meyer (although this season was not as good as last year) both deserve to be first team no doubt. Also Drew Howe and Michael Campbell deserve a look.
  24. GUesswho, just saw yall play cleveland. YOu should definately not add all of Mcminn's starters. They are a good team (probably the best in tha area), but not all of their players need to be on this list. A lot of them look good b/c they have a ton of other strong players around them. Other players like David Reaves and Criss Golden don't have much of a supporting cast. McMinn deserves three or four spots (two on first team and two on second team), no more.
  25. Reaves will have to win this game for Cleveland. He has to have three for them to win and that will be difficult b/c Mcminn if they are smart will be doubling and tripliing him all night.
