  1. Maybe I'm wrong, but I haven't read a lot of posts from Farragut bragging about anything.
  2. Congrats to Brentwood, although you may find being #1 is a bitter sweet drink. Sometimes it is a monkey that causes more hassles than it is worth. None the less, good luck.
  3. LCsoccer, stop by the bench at the CAK Farragut game and give BigGExpress the details. We've heard a lot of stuff and would like to know what is true about the game. Oneida, good tie. For me, you have gained a lot of respect. I would like to see your regular season schedule a little stronger, but a tie vs. LC is a "victory" in a lot of ways.

    giles vs lc

Was that all in one sentence?! Who is Giles?
  5. Too true... if they come in expecting to win, watch out. I haven't seen Oneida play, all I have heard about is this "gift". If I were on Oneida, I would be a little frustrated, also. Good luck Kazam7. We weren't trying to bash you. Good post.
  6. I think that FRA will be #1, and it will be a toss-up for #2 or #3 with CAK or CCS. Strength of schedule might come into play, and since I don't know all of the teams that CCS plays I can't make that call. LC will unfortunately drop out of the top 10. That's too bad, because they really are a good team when they play their A game. Columbia Academy should probably move up to at least #4.
  7. I'll be the first one to admit that our road to the finals last year was a breeze. And once again, it looks the same for the region champ. That is a shame, because regardless of who goes through (hopefully CAK and LC) there will be 3 great teams on one side. Don't forget, though, that you have to make it to state before you play at state. Nothing is promised. If you have an off game, you'll be watching Oprah instead.
  8. I dissagree with our weakness in the back, but I do agree that CCS had a good attack.... BUT that was a good attack against Sweetwater. I seriously doubt that they will able to get those kind of shots in our game. We'll see. I am looking forward to it.
  9. This was probably the highest paced game we have played since an early scrimmage vs. Bearden. L.C. never gave up, and always came with high pressure. I think that while CAK dominated the passing game, L.C. was more agressive which allowed them a very good second half. I think that L.C. has a tendancy to get a little emotional, and had several cards, but on the all and all, one of the best games so far. I have no doubt that we will see them in the Region finals. No one in their district should be able to touch them.
  10. Thank you GKBD15 for clearing that up.
  11. Good post. I think they are being ignored because of all of the hype from the other teams. I don't think anyone should under-rate them. Even though they don't have as strong of a schedule as the other three teams, they have proven they can score some goals. I wish them luck, but we'll see what the outcome is on Sat.
  12. Webb has a very talented 11 players, but not much depth. When they played us, I think they only subbed one player. Their stopper and outside right midfielder are very good. They had a great first half, but seemed to run out of steam in the second. I think they will give you a super game. Good luck to both teams.
  13. I believe this is why they added the 1.8 multiplier affect. There will always be the debate over public vs. private, and I have known great public school coaches, as well as great private school coaches. Recruiting isn't just one sided, it does happen in public schools as well, but I understand your frustrations. Larry Fowler of Alcoa might not have a great record, or an outstanding team, but what a classy guy. Hats off to those public school coaches. But don't give all private school coaches a bum rap just because some schools recruit illegally.

    WOW

Baylor has a good team. I can't say I know anything about Grace. Tough loss, and congrats to Grace. Baylor, nothing you can't bounce back from, so good luck to you.
  15. Great post by the Seymore player. You guys have a lot of class, and a lot of heart. You came out hard in the first half, and luckily we have those special goal posts that don't like opposing teams (well, in the first half we do!) I think you gave us a much better game than Gibbs, and I think that we will see you again in Districts. Good luck in the rest of your season.
  16. You GOTTA love the turtle mode!
  17. I agree... it's one thing to run up a score against weak opponents. It is another thing to do it with a tough schedule. Sweetwater plays CAK, L.C. and CCS. Let's see what he can do there. I wish him luck. 26 goals is alot, so congrats on that count.
