I play for the Red Devils of Germantown and I can tell you that this # is the total number of fans we had last night. This figure is incorrect. I don't care what the TSSAA says they are all screwed up in the head anyways. I could tell you that there was at least 8,500 to no more than 10,000. But yeah that figure is of Germantown's crazy devoted fans!!!!!!!1= Go Germantown! Here we go---we're already thinking about a repeat as we're going to work harder than this 2003 season. LOL

I'm a player from Germantown HIgh School. Man what fun it is to win the state championship on a cold day in Middle Tennessee where no one believes you can do it and you shut up all the nonsense from the get go!!! WOW!!! I still am in awe that we've won and I'm so anxious to get that "Bling Bling" around my finger. Congratulations to all the other teams that won the state titles in the class. From Germantown, the players most missed will be Rashod Cole(6'3 335) singin his 'G-town' unit song, to Jake Kasser for just put a licking on everyon, then to Carlos Dixon for his great poise and determination to rush for over 1,300 yards and 22 TD's on the season, also Zac West and his leadership and heart that helped pushed this team to winning the state championship, than there's Brandon Patterson taking the leading role as our quaterback scoring the only TD for us that helped win our first title in 20 years, also Allen "supertoe" Toney for kicking the crap out of the ball every time and almost taking off my finger on practice field goals, to Spencer Strickland for being officially named "the crunkest man on the sidelines" and for booting a 75 yarder in warm ups, to Marico Pierce for doing his elvis impressions,D.J. Leake for laying me out everytime I lined up double tight against him in practice, and to all the other seniors at Germantown--->ya'll made this one heck of a year! Thanks for all the memories, the golden highlights, and the 2-a-day practices in the scorching heat of July. Thanks for being there for us-hope u stop by next year to remind us of everything we accomplished.

What do you think the thread of the 5A Championship game is between Riverdale(Booooo!!!) vs. Germantown(Yehhhhh!!!) ?

F I N A L L Y ! ! ! It's about time someone said that the West can win it all! I've got tired of hearing how Riverdale is going to win and everything and keep the State Championship Trophy in Middle TN. You have to realize that throughout the season, Riverdale played some easy teams. NO one in their area can beat them----that's why they make it to state every year or so. ON the other hand, Germantown has had to do the unthinkable! With a new head coach(Charlie White) and the loss of 28 seniors(which most of them started or played), Germantown has comeback this year and proven to everyone that they want it all!!! They started training 3 days after their loss and said that this year will be the year that they stick their nose in the dirt and strap up to tear down any barriars against them. The senior leadership and talent of some Juniors will help them push them over the top to win state. That's my story and i'm sticking to it..... ALSO--->I HEARD THAT GHS IS TAKING THE DAG GUM WHOLE SCHOOL SO EXPECT THE CROWD TO PUSH THEM ONCE AGAIN OVER THE TOP LIKE THE CROWD DID LAST WEEK FOR THE DEVILS TO PUT THEM IN THIS POSITION!!! Just let me ask u one question? Alright here it is....How do u say that Riverdale is going to run all over Germantown when Germantown came back form behind against Franklin, intercepted 2 passes(1 pass that sealed the win), and stopped a good rusihng attack on the goal line for 0 points? How do you compete with that? Good Luck Germantown...show them what 5-A football truly is like!!!

I agree. I think the Championship game should be played at Vanderbilt also.

No one has ever heard of Daniel Beasley...?! The best reciever so far in West TN is the TE of the Red Devils. Jeff Cottam (6'7 255) has great speed and hands for a big fella. This guy can either destroy you deep or put u in the ground while blocking!

What teams this year have the best offense and what teams have the best defense in the West? East? Middle? Overall?

Hey, I live in the Germantown area and I've attended all the home and away games for Germantown High School. Man!!! I can't get enough of these guys! They play like it's the Super Bowl each and every Friday night they've taken the field. The composure and presence of this team is unbearable. This all comes from their leaders: Brandon Patterson, Jake Kasser, Carlos Dixon, Zach West, Allen Toney, Lee Smith, Rashod Cole, and new head coach in his 1st season as head coach-Charlie White. Coach White has taken this team and put a coal under their tail and got them looking towards that state title in which hasn't been theirs since 1983. Jake Kasser, Allen Toney, and Zach West lead a powerful defense that is drooling over that "fresh piece of meat" under center. These 3 guys are looking to end their senior year with that big ring around their finger come March and April. On the other side of the ball, Brandon Patterson, Carlos Dixon, and Rashod Cole take every defense and just overpower anything that comes near them. Carlos Dixon has rushed for over 1,000 yards in the season and that's been because of the Red Devil line. In my eyes, these guys are hungry and willing to tear anything into shreads that comes in their path! If one was to play these guys I would have to change my whole game plan just to even have an attempt to stop this football 'powerhouse!!!' My theory is that this team will make it to state on their strong leadership form all parts of the field along with their presence and energy that is feeded off every win. My question to you, is where do you think Germantown will end up and how are they going to get to state?
