A win is a win but I guess ROBOTMAN was right. Not very much offense by the Lady Cats but just enough to win. Come on people you have to admit that they are somewhat like the Lady Vols in basketball, take away the star and they are in the mix with the rest of the teams. Still a huge win!

No doubt, this is the craziest thing I have ever heard. I have coached my kids for years as my dad did me but he also knew when it was time to let go and I have done the same. It might be hard but it is the best thing for your kids. As for the coach who allows this to go on, well I won't say!!!

He does not offend me. I am sure that he offended some with his questioning of the parents genetics but hey, if he gets more people to posts I am sure that it is ok with CoachT. I figured if he could have fun with people he could also take a little jab. I have seen much worse that that on here. I would assume it offended you more than him. Shelbyville did have a couple of chances to maybe get an extra run or two across the plate but for some reason did not choose to move them around into scoring position. When runs are hard to come by you've got to get them anyway you can. Good pitching from both pitchers. Give Cornersville credit. They got the big hit when they needed it.

Ease up guys. I am man enough to admit that I am just "ok" at my job too on certain days. If you cannot admit that the trash statement was a mistake then ask the editor and ask your head coach because both of these gentlmen received plenty of calls about it. The head coach went so far as to say that he should have never said that. Thanks for the advice but I spoke to the editor and the writer the day after it came out. I did not think that it was fair to the child that he was referred to as anyones trash. I was told that it was written because the writer was simply writing what the Cascade coach had said. The coach was big enough to admit his mistake and I give him credit for that. By the way, Cascade is one of my teams, as is Shelbyville and Community. I will never come on here and take a shot at one of our athletes about the # of wins that their team has. I will support them all. As for us going to state in baseball, it had noting to do with any trash, it had alot to do with having good players and one player carrying us. I'm not taking anything away from anyone, it's just the way I see it. By the way, I am a Bedford County sports fan without a child at any of the schools. Mine have grown and gone and I pull for all of the County schools.

Let's not go overboard. Mr. Parker does an ok job for an ok newspaper. As he gaines more experience I think that he will figure out that his heart is part of his problem. No matter where your ties are you have to do the job and keep your personal feelings and emotions in check. Anyone who reads any of his stuff knows that he is pro Cascade. I will be interested to see in the future if he can ask the tough questions of the Cascade staff if and when any down years come. He had no problem printing the "one mans trash is another man's treasure" line last year. The question is could he print the same thing about Cascade? Then we will know if he is as good as you guys think he is. As the old coach says, "I can't tell anything about a man when he is winning but I can tell everything about him when he is losing". I wish nothing but success for Cascade but if the times get tough we will see what we can tell about him.

Is Ransom playing this week? Can you speculate as to why #9 and #3 do not get the ball more. Go Eagles!

I don't really have a dog in this fight. However many statements being made are way off track. There were three camera views of this sitituation and none off them show any Community players throwing down a Cascade player prior to the fight. Nevertheless there was a Community player pushed down from behind about 10 sec. before the sitituation explodes( cascade player headlocking community player and slaming him to the floor). Leading up to this both teams were being very physical and throwing plenty off elbows (reffs should have stoped). Also the viedo never shows any parents throwing punches at anyone, only trying to pull kids off(parents shouldn't have come on floor). Both team were wrong in the way they acted. As far as coaches being able to control their kids and teaching them to play basketball the right way, Community didnt have any kids run off the bench(happened in front of Community bench) to jump in, while Cascade had some running to the pile. I hate this for both schools both are in a lose, lose sitituation. I hope all involved will use this for a learning experience and grow from their mistakes.

I agree the kids are the ones suffering, watching all these coaches turn down the job. They must feel as if their not worth much. As I said before a hometown guy would help the program to be lifted up. I'm sure Austin would restore the MC pride. As someone stated before the kids really love him. The kids at MC need a coach to love! After all, its about the kids.

I can't understand why they haven't given Jeremy Austin a closer look. He's a hometown boy with 8 years of 1A coaching experience as an assistant, with 4 years as a defensive coordinator. People don't get to be head coaches without someone giving them their first shot. He's been the reason Cascade has been a team to deal with week in and week out. I will say if MC lands him their kids will be in the best shape in years and enjoy conditioning. Just my two cents, someone will get a great head coach one day. We will miss him in Bedford Co. but until then we still have him.

Didn't get to see the game tonight. Who was their other starter missing besides Hull ?

Good ball game for both teams. Game was much closer than the 11 point outcome. Eagleville has a very fast and agressive ball club. The Vikings debth and team speed didn't seem to wear down the Eagles as much as it has others. However it seemed as if the Vikings didn't play as many players as they have in the first few games. Maybe coach Edmondson is starting to settle on his 6 or 7 instead of 9 or 10. Nevertheless the Vikings can not be taken lightly. This could be a comming out year if the players keep working hard and the coaches put the right players in at the right time.

I believe its a six min. mile. I was also told you weren't allowed to start until you make it. If you haven't seen this team they are in great shape and the wave of players coach sends in seems to wear down the other team. Lets don't hang the coach just yet for goodness sakes, he has two Jrs. nine Soph. three Fresh. and an eighth grader. Youth will eventually prevail. I'm sure he will get the combinations right. Go get'em VIKINGS !

I also heard that Watertown played them pretty well. 3-1 (watertown) Eventhough alot of Cascades key players were still playing Baseball. I've also heard that Cascade will be losing some coaches after this spring. Who's leaving ? Best wishes to the Purple Tigers and the Champs.

I hope to make this game Friday, I have a feeling the score board will be lighting up. Not sure which team will show up and play. I have heard Cascade was pretty tough in region 6, however they have lost both games to the region 6 teams they have played this year. I have checked to see if there were any common opponets between the two teams this year. All I could find was WHH played Cannon Co. and lost 10-0. Taft played Cannon Co. and Cannon Co. lost 47-19.Cascade played Taft and won 35-17. Not sure if this means anything, take it for what you will. But It looks to me as if the score board may get lit UP.Best wishes to both teams , work hard and we will see who is going to bring it Friday night.
