  1. and there you have it. That really solves the mystery. I guess if we are all Teachers,,,,then maybe we are all students too.....hmmmmm. Is Socrates using the name Allnet? Just kidding,,,,i just wanted to talk about things that I don't know.
  2. allnet, clear up the mystery.....are you a teacher? I have worked in the stove factories, and they do not work the way you have said. Yes they re-work stoves, but not at the level you make you point with. CHS does graduate fine students, in fact a doctor in my family. But it still smells of impropriety on the coach's lack concern for how this was handled. Just an opinion.
  3. Just wondering....has Coach Brown made any statements regarding this subject? If so, what is his stance on it? I have to think he has some kind of justification for any action or inaction on his behalf.

  5. best of the west, I agree with what you are saying. I think it is clear and I wished him luck. I think he will be more credible with some disclosure of who he (she) is. You saying that it does'nt matter because it is not official is changing the premise of what TnRanker suggested in his (her) initial post. He (She) wants to be the official ranker for Coach T. Although I am not sure what being the "official" ranker would mean to a message board.
  6. TnRanker, I think this is a great idea. I think all people do enjoy seeing the ranking and then either agreeing or not with the ranking. I have spoken to several people who post on here and the problem with being anonomous is the credibility that either does or does not go with the person doing the ranking. Another concern is the bias that may come with the ranker who also has wrestlers in the ranking. If you rank teams on the list, that becomes a biased issue as well. People want to know who does the ranking. Rob, who did not have such affiliations gained credibility, although it did not sheild him from others opinions on his picks. I think I am correct in saying that Rob did not wrestle in High School or College, but it did not matter, he covered the sport in a professional manner (he was paid to write) and he also did the ranking on the side. If I am wrong here, please correct me somebody (like I need to ask for that!). You said that you coached and that you have experience. You also say that you are a fan and that really is enough to qualify as an opinion giver for ranking. I suggest that you pull the curtain back (like the wizard of OZ) and show who is pulling the levers. If you want this to be the best it can be you will need to disclose who you are. Good luck and I hope that you do a great job.
  7. Funny is in the eyes of the beholder. It was funny to me that he thought that wrestlers were weird because of of mass produced t-shirt. I also thought he was trying to be funny, so I acknowledge his ironic wit. side note: I have been in many gyms,,,,,,I can't recall ever seeing a super model there. But if they were there, move out the mats.
  8. panther, Your funny. Do you not get it with the t-shirts. Don't take it to literal. You had a good post until you went with the super model analogy.
  9. FHSrebel27, I only remember someone asking a question regarding why a wrestler was not participating on the team. Seems reasonable based all the other posts that happen on this board. I don't understand why you think it is okay to lock down the thread that coacht already stated he was going to check on the status. Maybe you're a little more than biased based on the subject and the school that was involved. Just a comment and a concern.
  10. I see now that you are very emotional on this. Sorry to work you up to a lather, but it was just my opinion ,like yours about refs in the NCAA. You can't know what the call would be. Just like people can not know how this particular wrestler will act again. But like history, you look back at the track record and make your bets.
  11. 316,,,,it is just a poll taken by coaches that should know the sport. All coaches voted for Bradley as their number one pick. I am sure they look at common opponents and common match ups and make their pick. I am sure they look at returning starters and how they may move up weights and the potential match ups. The state tournaments don't even have them wrestling each other for bragging rights. So why should the coach worry about making match ups like that. They should have two polls so that both D1 and D2 teams could see where they stand.
  12. If I remember correctly, the ref called him for a dangerous move. Not dangerous to himself but to his opponent. So let him go right back out there and let's not act like fools being concerned if he learned his lesson or not. Great thinking.
  13. Good information Coach. Do you know which teams are going to Tampa to wrestle?
  14. sly, Not sure what happened to that post. CoachG from Smyrna was on that thread too, maybe he can shed some light. It just disappeared!
  15. Thanks for the response. All teams need people to support their programs. Keep up the good work.
  16. RMC, I am just wondering, are you one of the coaches of Collins Hill wrestling team?
  17. Please.....anytime someone mentions the WWE and high school wrestling in the fashion that it promotes the sport is only baiting you guys to come on here and defend the high school wrestlers.
  18. Will any of the schools listed in the top 25 be at the Virginia Duals and in the same division as Bradley. I am sure Great Bridge will be there, but not sure of what division.

    and the excuses begin.......
  20. ashamed? Wow, it is just a strategy by a coach, nothing more.
  21. Eddie, your posts regarding the level of popularity are generally correct. I read your post and could not tell if you were a fan or not. Your baiting these guys.
  22. I wonder if the Chattanooga teams/idivduals that don't make it to the State tournaments because they are beaten in the Region and District would not beat a lot of the teams/idividuals that do go to the tournaments for some of the areas that are not as strong? Could some of the 5th place guys beat qualifiers from other Regions consistently? If so, this could skew the data posted and make it a faulty way to try and make the point. To be fair, this could also be true from any of the regions or districts, but mostly likey it applies to the Chattanooga area.
  23. Eddie Haskell (also know as Beaver's friend), your right. In almost all instances on this board, no one cares that there is more post on the football board.
  24. Chattcity, Maybe I misunderstood your comment, but when you throw out a compliment and then say the difference is that someone is not affraid, the inference is that the other person is affaird. I.E. coach Henry is not affraid, so coach Logsdon is affraid. If that is not what you meant then fine. But on one hand to say you a great coach and motivator, and on the other hand infer that same coach is affraid. Did I misread your meaning? If so, I apologize for bringing up your posts that seem in conflict to me.
