  1. I'd say that Greeneville, Jeff. County, and Morristown East will all have pretty good squads. They all have experienced teams returning, and Greeneville made it to substate last season. It should be a good race for the IMAC crown
  2. Where does Matt Tanzi go to school at? And if he can hit it 500 feet off of anyone in the state, why aint he playin in the majors. I dont know of too many high school kids that can hit it that far
  3. Before you can have a winner, you gotta have three finalists. As of right now, i like Clark, Lyons, and McMahan
  4. Deans is still rehabbing her knee and it will be next year before she plays. I'd say the whole team plays tonight and the lady devils keep on winning. Greeneville 62 Cherokee 24
  5. Freeman did not play against MoWest, and she has not played in a couple of games this season. It is an extremely valid point that Manuel has to have her A game, and more importantly her A attitude in order for Greeneville's offense to operate fluidly. Though they are a young team, Greeneville is extremely deep, and even the freshman have played well. It will all come down to the fewest turnovers and odds are the team that wins will be the team that doesn't beat itself.
  6. This may be the best game in the entire state, and this rivalry may be the best in the state this season. Nakiasha Manuel has not played her best in any game this season and Meagan Lyons has expanded her game to twice the capacity of last season. I have NOT seen Jeff County this season, but it is an extremely audacious thing to say that they can stop Greeneville. I am not for sure that their first five is better than Greeneville's either. As far as team work goes, Greeneville's three sophomore starters have played together since they were 10, and they have played with those two seniors for two seasons. It's not about who has the better team, because they are as close as two teams can get. Its about which coach makes the right decisions and which team makes the fewest mistakes. Greeneville- 58 Jeff County- 50
  7. I think 20 names is a lot, so i'm gonna narrow it down a little- Cait McMahon Meagan Lyons KeKe Stewart Erin Ogan Ashley Kyle Kiasha Manuel Glory Johnson Ashley Huff Caitlin Hollifield Ashley Gray And as for Jackie Pickel, I got the pleasure of seeing her play very recently. She gets out of control sometimes, but she is a real competitor and has more talent than nearly any girl i've seen. She could go on any given night from between Lyons and Manuel. If she gets complete control of herself, there's only one name i dont think she has the potential to reach
  8. I got to see Antioch play this weekend at Bradley Central. The point guard, #24, is the real deal except for she doesnt shoot particularly well. She passes great, has some nice handles, and is a terror on the defensive end. Another guard, #14, is lights out from behind the arc. If they get an inside presence, they will have a great season
  9. With or without Lollar, the Devils will be ready to play coming off a bye week and East has a lot to rebound from with that whitewashing they took at Stone Castle last week. I would say East moves the ball through the air and Greeneville SHOULD move it on the ground. The weather could play a huge role in this game if it rains. A kick could decide this game Greeneville 31 Sullivan East 28
  10. I think it will be a close game. If Greeneville keeps its offense on the ground, they have a great chance at winning the game. The biggest issue is can the Greene Devils contain Eads and the East passing attack.
  11. I dont think that Region 1 will get a sweep, but all four of those games could be close. Mo West and Tennessee has the makings of a blow out, but the other three games should be great ones. Sullivan East has not blown out anyone lately. They win the close ones and this should be no different. Mo East is way overrated but Sullivan South hasnt played well either. Having seen Cherokee and E Town play, i think that Cherokee wins by 10 or so because of home field and those huge hogs in the trenches. Tennessee 42 Mo West 7 Sullivan East 21 Greeneville 28 Sullivan South 20 Mo East 14 Elizabethton 14 Cherokee 28
  12. Greeneville has turned it on at the right time and i think they will take care of the Canes pretty handily Greeneville- 41 Morristown East- 14
  13. i doubt the score will get run up, but i dont think it's gonna be a nailbiter or anything. I hope both are undefeated going into the game cause that will make it a much better game. i know its really early but... Tennessee High- 42 Sullivan East- 20
  14. I think Dobyns Bennett and Riverdale would be a heckuva game. The only way to find out if Riverdale is beatable is to wait for the playoffs. We'll all know here pretty soon
  15. Solomon Armstrong from Greeneville has to be on the list. He starts left tackle and long snapper.
