First of all.....stay in school. Secondly........loaded with talent? Ok list the professional athletes from Macon County in the last 20 years. Now list the Div 1 athletes signed from Macon in the last 20 years Now ANY college athletes signed from Macon in the last 20 years. Loaded.......wow..........therein lies the problem.

work in coaching circles is due to MANY people in the stands who have yet to understand that for the past 20+ years the athletes it takes to win on a year in and year out level in football in the state of tennessee, are simply not there in Macon. With that in mind, coaches who can win and have won elsewhere wont even consider applying at Macon County..........not due to the level of the players........but due to the pee wee, farmer brown, I know more than you, bad redneck, inbred daddy contingent!

Why isnt the job posted? Do they know already who they are going to hire??

In just gonna tell the truth boys...........this may be the worst district in the state in any class. I know it will be competitive, but the odds of ANY of that crew doing much in the playoffs is slim and none and slim left town.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - One midstate city received national recognition Wednesday morning but not in a good way. The city has been named the worst city in America to raise a family. The editors of Best Life Magazine gave that dubious distinction to Clarksville. The evaluation was based on several categories, which included schools, quality of life, healthcare, divorce rates and housing. Good Grief........this has continued to be joke. Montgomery County Schools, for the most part, could care less about football. Who would want to go there besides someone who is desperate, or looking for that 1st job? Its ashamed for the kids. Wont change till the parents get off thier arse and make it so. The closest thing Clarksville has had to a stable program for any length of time is whats is going on now at Clarksville...........and really.......in the grand scheme of things..........they havnt accomplished as much as many schools would have with equal talent. No disrespect to the coaches, they have done a fine job considering all the roadblocks, lack of support, and little or no feeder programs the system provides. How many potential college athletes who would have recieved monetary help to pursue higher education have not had that oppurtunity in Montgomery County? Hundreds..........maybe thousands.... Administration from the top down is basically a good ole boys club, so inbred in the rehiring and recyling of past problem employees.........the system CONTINUES to be the joke of all of TN. Montgomery County School system is the system equivilent of Ethiopia.............student athletes are starving to death due to georgraphy, corruption, drought of fresh ideas, and most of all..........apathy.

Uh, no. Not playing in the game..........speaking at the clinic. South Pitt runs true wing-t and a VERY elemetary form of the spread.........they just do it with much better players than everyone else they play........no secret to that. Contrary to popular belief......South Pitt is not the ONLY people in the world who mix in various offenses with the spread..........its real common.

Saw a guy at the state championship clinic running wing-t schemes out of the shotgun. Kind of spread/wingt/single wing mix. Interesting stuff and looked like it would be holy heck to try and stop. Anyways, all football is either drive block, reach block, or down kick block, or pass. No secrets anymore. GOOD misdirection will work on any level.............anyone that things wing t football wont work on ANY level is either stupid, a young coach who thinks he knows everything, or is trying to get people to stop running the dang thing bc he cant stop it!

Springfield needs 1) a more proactive administrative apporoach to all sports 2) a proven disiplinarian and winner as the new head FC 3) someone who is not interested in using the school as a stepping stone and is willing to build a program as opposed to coaching for the short term. If you do that at Springfield.......you compete for state championships.

Well, nothing is certain until its certain...........but there are several good men and coaches that have applied for the job. Many would do well. One applicant would find it not nearly as easy as he thinks it will be. WHERE you have worked has nothing to do with leadership ability.................and he has none, as will be evidence shortly after he eventually does con some hapless souls into giving him a job somewhere. Lets just say..........its not gonna be here.

Nope. dont have it "out" for anybody, and you are right, the principal will make the decision. But, with the input he is getting from the outside from VERY reputable people............his decision will be VERY educated and not based on where one may or may not have coached prior to thier arrival. Stating the facts.............

Any smart proven coach would stay away, unless he is at a small school and wanted to move up. You will not better what has been accomplished over the past two seasons. Rector in all likelyhood would not be interested, Crawford would sniff, because like Carlton.........thats what he does. I would bet on someone already on staff, but if the admin is not careful...........the wrong choice would cause massive bailout amongst other coaches............and Smyrna would be back at square 1.

There is a ver GOOD reason Wyant has NEVER co-ordinated on either side of the ball. Rankin did the correct thing with him at Riverdale.........as will Rakes at Smyrna. Not conjecture........facts............. What have you been smoking? Most people have no idea about the ins and outs of football! Are you that insane? And since when are coaches not allowed in the box? Are you nuts? And are we talking about college??????????? NO! Everything being equal, sure, a play call here or there can make a difference..........but SELDOM is everything equal. Not allowed in the box..........maybe thats why your team doesnt win many..........they dont even have an eye in the sky!

Also, you dont thing that team have coaches at an even better vantage point than the fans? Wow, that would make you clueless indeed! Tell you what, if you think plays or play calling wins and loses games.........you are REALLY clueless! Try this on for size dad...........blocking, tackling, taught through fundamental practice and performed by better players...........thats what wins. In 100% of the games, what plays called when on the HS level probalby accounts for maybe 10% of the total outcomes. Most games thay you "experts" in the stands see.........is not AT ALL what is really happening! Good Grief.............since I drive a car.......does that make me a nascar driver?
