I'd rather see.. Mascot - Mountaineers...nothing that has to do with Morristown..Nothing remotely to do with Wildcats, Trojans, or weather activity... Coach - Based on numbers and post-HS success, I'd say Woods... School - If they were to build a new campus, It would be the best in East TN and would repay itsself in a short period of time.

True. I'd rather see a game on a mudhole than on turf...And about the equal practice time on it, I don't see it happening...I think a good solution would be to stop letting the MS and soccer teams play on it.,,And have the JV games somewhere else, too...If only one game was played on BT each week, it would be in alot better shape.

Good idea. But I doubt it would ever happen. Too many questions such as ..Mascot? Football Coach? There would also be too many students...East has 5 lunch periods now..West has 4...Either way the school will be really crowded and it's not worth the hassle to put them together

East/West football news is in the Thursday paper. It doesn't matter though. West rolls this week over Unicoi whether they play at Burke Toney in fron of 10,000 fans , CN , or in the Panther Creek swimming pool..

Well first of all, the term is "Woe is me"..And as for the Blue Ribbon Award, if it were only based on academic merit, I highly doubt East or West could have won it....And I'm not even going to argue with you on the fact about the newspaper..I've talked to East and West graduates..Teachers at West that went to East, and adults I know that went to East, and they even said that East has always been paid more attention to. But ya know, it really doesn't matter, because West hasn't lost a regular season game since I was a sophomore and I could care less if the Tribune ever reported another West score...

See..I never pointed out anything that East does that is disrespectful..I pointed out that the paper has an East High bias and that's how it has always been..And I pointed out that YOU were singling out a parent, which is probably not the most classy thing to do....And you think that drawing a logo upside down is disrespectful? But I'm sure having t-shirts that say "Trash the Trojans" is very classy in your opinion..And when those were made, it didn't bother me one bit...Neither did the 44-20 shirts..Because when West wins..We don't have to put the score on a t-shirt so that we can remember that we won.

I'm gonna have to agree with what someone else said about canefan72..Pointing out a specific parent is classless.. And about West having their own field...Well, if you've ever read the Tribune, you'd know that God himself went to East High. West is only the #2 football team in the state..And aside from sports, we have students competing for spots at Harvard, Duke, MIT, and other colleges year in and year out. After the East/West game when East's student section was put on the front of the paper, the CT was flooded with calls and complaints. Any outsider reading that paper would never know there were 2 High Schools in Hamblen County. East and West have NEVER been treated equal, and it's been that way since Morristown High School split...And East got to keep the mascot...And I wonder how many of the players that were on the East state championship team back then were zoned for West? Anyway..West could play inside of the Panther Creek swimming pool and their would be more fans and a better atmosphere than at Burke Toney... I'm guessing West plays at CNC on Friday night.

Burke Toney always has more fans in it whenever West is playing. It's simple logic---The #2 4A team in the state is gonna have more people watchin their game than a team that isn't in the top 10.

Actually I heard that West's playoff games will be at Burke Tarr...Not sure though...I saw Burke Toney this morning and it was nasty.

They have lost 2 games since 2001, bot at the hands of the Trojans from Morristown West. If not for those losses, Maryville would have the longest win streak in the nation now.

#44 is JJ Sims...He's a great player and a great guy. Also, he was back at school at 6 AM this morning to go to Cookeville for a forensics tournament. He's very well rounded and a great player.

The MOST annoying thing: First of all, when you're the visiting team, and their away stands are really small, and your fans can't all fit on them.( This happened to us at JeffCo). Also, when parents, who KNOW where the student section is, sit in it...Caused the West students to have to wrap around the field to watch the game, and we couldn't make any noice because we were so scattered. Adults have already had their 4 years of HS, why don't they let the students have their fun in the Student Section at games.

Yeah. We're jealous of Ramsey just like Tiger Woods is jealous of my golf swing.
