This is a very interesting topic to me. I'm in college, so I have some broad sociological possibilities that they've fed me, but I think the Scotch-Irish influence is pretty evident. But there are some really good wrestling areas in Florida and California too. I have done a little bit of research on the history of wrestling in Chattanooga/North Georgia, and I've thought of trying to write a send-in article to a newspaper down there, but there just aren't many resources out there. I think it would be really fascinating to sit down with a Gordon Connell or a Jim Morgan and pick his brain about it.

Yea, it seems like it will be, but if you had asked me at the end of last year if Livingston could hang with Britcliffe, I would have said no way. Jose, y'all really have done a pretty amazing job with that kid, and I'm not just saying that. I remember seeing him in eighth grade, and I don't want to rag on the kid, but it's been a world of difference since then. I am anxious to see him at state. Will he be a threat to win in the next two years? It seems like a good bit of the light-middle weights are seniors this year.

Is Livingston a junior this year? That kid has a learning curve like a right angle. He's progressed a whole lot in the last two years, expecially considering that he's a lightweight. What have the matches been like between Kent and Demetrius this year?

Hambone, you make me sound so sleezy. I just enjoyed watching wrestling, and I took a few notes while I was there, just trying to help the alma mater, even though we finally get a state champ the year after I leave. Most of the coaches knew I was doing it. Where can I find the full results from the region finals? I'm sure they are somewhere. You going to state?

He means West Tennessee. Kent Johnson from Collierville won state last year at 103.

Maybe I'm nit-picking here, but Collierville is actually at mile marker 24. Y'all really shouldn't be bashing schools and regions in response to one person's remarks.

Nick is at Florida State now, and I never was able to get on board with that program. School is rough, but I'm hoping to get to a couple of tournaments this year.

Heard about the new guy causing turmoil, so I thought I'd check it out. I would recommend proof reading and using complete sentences. How are the rest of you boys doing?

Forget the TG kid. He was smaller, younger, and less athletic than the Grissom kid on paper, but he was precise and did not make mistakes toward the end of the match. That was a great win. Congradulations. Tex, We aren't coming into the Bradley and McCallie threads saying we're the best in TN, and we would expect you to have the same courtesy. I know you didn't mean anything by it, but I can guarantee you that we are working as hard as anyone. We don't have the tradition, but we will.

Borneman was pretty fortunate not to get pinned in the first. I think Marable would have lost as well.
